We were called by a Uhaul rep after booking online and told we would get a better mileage rate to go to different location. We went for pickup to a tow company yard. The yard was locked, we called the number and they told us they have no reservations booked. 1 hour after pickup time, they showed up and rented us the vehicle. He mentioned he was new, we were his first rental and he was still waiting to be trained. At drop off he told us dont worry im here all day and no rush. we were 1 hour after the 24 hour period. We were subsequently charged for an extra day for the rental, the dolly and blankets we never originally requested. And the mileage rate was no different than if we would have stayed with the original dealer. A $67 rental jumped to $197 for 1 hour. I guess Ill be charging for the 1 hour of my time we had to wait to pick up the vehicle.
