The operator was very helpful and attentive. However the roll up door on our unit was near impossible to open!!! A smaller man or woman would never be able to access it.

JAMES DDear U-Haul Management, I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my dissatisfaction and file a formal complaint regarding the inappropriate and discriminatory behavior of the manager at one of your branches. Recently, I visited your branch and was unfortunately met with extremely rude and offensive treatment from the manager. To begin with, we were kept waiting outside the office for approximately two hours while the manager walked around the premises. Finally, when it came time to return the vehicle, we were unjustly charged for fuel, despite the fact that I had refueled the vehicle and even provided photographic evidence. The manager claimed there was a shortage of about 4 liters of fuel, and without any reasonable justification, imposed a penalty on us. This rude and discriminatory behavior is unacceptable, and I will never recommend your services to anyone. I have also discussed this matter with my lawyer and have asked them to file an official complaint against your company and the disrespectful manager. SHAWN RWe told the location that the tires looked bald on the inside and we were travelling 4500 km with this tow dolly but they said tires were fine. Halfway into our journey the tires started to show the wires from the tread. Instead of calling u-haul as we were in the middle of nowhere we walked into a tire shop and they had the tires swapped out and we were on our way in under 20 minutes. I phoned u haul prior to purchasing tires and they said keep receipt and they will square up with me at the drop location. I arrived at drop location and phoned head office again and they changed their tune saying I should have phoned roadside assistance. I agree that is what the agreement says but it would have taken them over 2 hours just to get to us then likely another 30 minutes to change tires if they had the right tires. Regardless I feel u-haul should at least reimburse me for the brand new tires that remained on the dolly. I also kept the old tires to show the drop Off location how bad they were and they agreed. The cost of the tires and swap is around $200 and it would have cost u- haul way more than that to send a technician 4 hour round trip with tires. I felt they handled this very poorly especially since they have the benefit of keeping the new tires. Extremely unprofessional.
Ian HAbsolutely terrible customer service, if you can call it that. Our appointment was for 10am, we left 12pm after waiting in the rain. They were rude, tried to upcharge for things I didn't want They lied to us about how many miles and the cost of the products They had no urgency, sauntered into every truck to get the number to put it into the system, things of which they should have done before they opened. They yelled at their line of 10 people stating, "if the trucks are in miles don't f$#%ing change it" They didn't acknowledge the customers waiting by locking their front desk door, and it was a shack with painted doors so you couldn't see inside. At first they were going smallest to largest but then randomly they started going in order by who was there first, of which people came after everybody and they gave the late customer his truck first. 2 hours late with the pickup with no apology or recognition of this. Uhaul claimed we were supposed to have a vehicle in quispamsis which is our start location then it moved to Saint john, then on their end the guy forgot to put it into the system making us travel 140 kilometers out of the way 4 hours wasted, made us mess up with movers costing us money on gas and fees...because they "forgot to put our reservation in the system". To sum completely unacceptable behavior on managers and customer service agents.
Joseph FThe truck size I requested was not available, so I was downgraded to a smaller truck. The staff were not very friendly, and I had to wait 45 minutes to receive the keys (after already having my pickup time changed from 9:00am to 1:00pm, to 2:00pm). This location was upset that my pickup time was the same time they closed (2:00pm), yet that was out of my control due to the changes in time.

James JThis location employs the rudest employee we have ever encountered. From the moment we stepped in the office to rent a van, the lady who works there (Angie) treated us very unprofessionally. I have never experienced ANYWHERE, the attitude and disrespect this lady exhibited. For no reason, she was ignorant, rude and condescending. When we returned the van we had put gas in where we thought it was when we rented it. We only drove 18km's. My husband questioned the amount of the gas charge because she had never indicated after the inspection that we didn't put enough in. As she tried to get the invoice to print, the printer wasn't working properly to which she yelled 'F@#K you'. When the return was complete, I told her that the experience was the worst service we had ever received, She screamed at me to get out of her office and slammed the door on me as I left, just missing my foot. The owner of the business came up to our car to say that the employee doesn't choose the gas charge. We told him this was not about the $11 gas charge, it was about the awful, unprofessional manner in which we were treated at this location. This was our first UHaul rental, and likely our last. Definitely will never return to the A and J Tires and Mufflers location - ever!!

What was meant to be a quick simple interaction to rent a truck was far from a easy experience. We were repeatedly yelled at had things thrown at us and had to endure countless aggressive and inappropriate use of language. We just wanted to rent a truck.

At 6:45 pm the night before my move they called me and told me they had no trucks at that location and wanted me to drive 4 hours round trip to pick one up. I ended up paying about more in fuel than I should have. .

I got it later in the day and was charged $25 for cleaning the truck and $15 for cleaning the trailer!!! I already cleaned it out and still charged!!!! UNBELIEVABLE

However, the price for a one way move of an enclosed cargo trailer was out of bounds. I would look for better value in the future.

And informed me that it’s my responsibility to take a photo as a proof of the mileage and said it’s in the contract that I am the one that responsible to show an image to proof they were wrong! I am a frequent customer in Car rental and I never had such a problem. If this is how u haul works, I will share my experience with others P.S. I have the gas receipt proof that I only put gas for around 200 miles but I couldn’t debate because the talk to me in a very bad way. I can’t believe I had such a situation!!!
mohamed kLocation was not open when I dropped the trailer off, which I was not informed of. Dropped the trailer off and left. Today, I receive an email advising of an additional fee for cleaning. I cleaned the trailer fully (had hauled household goods, no leaks or spills, but I swept it out and took pictures). Called and left an email with the pictures proving the trailer was cleaned, and no response. I expect to be reimbursed for this charge!

Marcus DUsed for a few hours to move a matress. Laid the mayress on the clean floor. Reurned after dropping mattress at a storage locker. Was charged a cleaning fee the next day becuae they said it was dirty and things were left in it, both things are untrue. Very disappointed.
GREG Hthis whole U-Haul experience was a lot. first I reserved a truck on Grand Manan at Cary Tire. then they rented it out the day before I was supposed to pick it up and told me it was my problem and to call uhaul to fix it. then uhaul on the phone was good. I got a truck reservation on the main land (grand Manan is an island) so I had to find someone to drive me to go get it. and since it was such short notice going to pick it up I couldn't get a ferry reservation to bring it back to the island. so I had to sit on standby waiting through ferry after ferry all day to get it on the boat. then I had tried to explain to the phone person when I was needed to be able to return it. and to the reservation desk. the reservation desk at pick up understood and left the return open. but my text said that I had to return it at an impossible hour to a specific place. I would still be on the ferry bringing it from the island when they said I had to return it. so I tried to do the online check out and I couldn't because online said I had to bring it back to the island to Cary Tire. which for many reasons is impossible at this point. I swept it out, returned it and still got charged 30$ upon its return. for whatever reason was not explained.
