I believe the young man working today was Charlie and he does a good job for being there alone. I was behind two other customers and it would have been nice to get out a little faster but only Charlie was there. The 5x8 trailer was practically brand new. After having rented about 100 trailers over the years this was one of the best I've had. Charlie was there when I returned about 3 hours later and unhooked the trailer in record time. This location has limited hours during the week and not open on the weekend. That makes this location tough at times to work with because some days they are only open 5 hours and don't come in till noon.

Paul M.Customer service shit-show. My reservation was moved to a different location, I was notified the night before. That location required a self-serve check-in/check-out. The self-serve did not work. I called for help, my wait time on hold was estimated to be an hour. I drove to the U-HAUL corporate store where I had requested the reservation, hoping they could help. They rudely told me that it wasn't their problem and there wasn't anything they could or cared to do about it. It was U-Haul's issue, not theirs. They were kind enough to give me a couple of phone numbers to try. I got someone on what sounded like a personal phone who eventually was willing/able to help me. Also, it's aggravating as hell to look up the phone number for our local store, only to be sent straight to a call center in another part of the country that can't even pronounce the town I live in, much less help me with anything locally. I know how to dial a 1-800 number. When I call a local number, I expect a local person to answer.

John B.I'm not seeing a place where I can share my experience so before clicking submit, I'll share it here. Over the years, dealing with u-haul has always been like pulling teeth. After making my reservation I wanted to take all the steps I could to make sure everything would go smoothly. I went by the pickup location a day early to see if everything was in order. I spoke with Clint at the pickup location and shared with him something that I read when "trying" to make my reservation online. I read something about my trunk may need to be inspected before I could rent. I ended up calling to make my reservation and asked the young lady that same thing. She was great and told me everything is good to go. I just wanted the pickup location that I was renting from to echo that same statement, but Clint was not able to do that. Clint did not make me feel comfortable in renting from u-haul. Suggested I go to another location and ask them if my truck needed to be inspected. Can't we just call them, I asked, but I was told no. By this time, I'm getting aggravated. I ended up going to the other location Clint suggested and they told me pretty much what the nice lady on the phone told me when I called in to make my reservation. I can say that Clint did a pretty good job at handling an agitated customer, so 5 stars on that but ... 2 stars on providing the info I needed when making my rental decisions. I arrived at the pickup location early on the rental day (Sat 9 April 2022) and was loaded, out the door and on the road by 09:21. This young lady was fantastic. A pleasure to do business with. I failed to get her name and I do apologize. Now, let's talk about returning the trailer. I never got a text with any info on returning the trailer but I do remember the nice lady at the pickup location saying something about your Frederick Rd location here in Auburn. So, I go to that location, they're closed. I called the phone number for that location, I get an answering machine and not the national call center. I call another location, told the person of my issue, they transferred me to Share a Ride ??? I think that was it was call. I go thru my story again and was transferred to scheduling. I go thru my story again and finally I was helped by another very nice person. Just seemed like a lot to go thru to return the trailer. The trailer was fantastic and pulled like a dream. I'd like to have one. Thanks!

ANDREA P.Be prepared for longer than you expect check in if you're trying to do it online. The "easy to do it yourself" plan is more complicated than they say. If you're doing anything when they are open, don't expect any friendly service from young woman who works in the office. Customers seem to interrupt her boredom with the job.
