This location is located in a residential/commercial zoned area. The street has a church, three houses, and a small mechanic shop 96 Soto Ln which is the U-Haul pick up location. Mobile pick up was hard for me. I prefer to use online instead of mobile. Navigating online frustrated me and taking away from my travel plans. I had to call customer support to help me with the prompts. I did not get the message back from the authenticating member right away. This took longer than expected to do self pick up! The customer support rep I was on call with was the one to tell me that I needed to take my cap off and retake the picture. Once l did that it took more time for the authenticator to approve. This set me back 45 min of my leave time. I then had to stop at a gas station to fill up. I put $20 thinking it would fill the tank. It did not. Gas prices averaged $3.15. After loading up I had to stop again at a gas station to ensure I had a full tank of gas. More time lost from my estimated arrival to my destination! To ensure my tank stays topped off, I would stop and fill the 10ft truck. I had to stop 3 times every two hours. The third time I called Roadside assistance. They wanted me to check for a fuel leak and told me that the trucks don’t get very good gas mileage. I ended up having to stop for the night. On Thanksgiving day I fueled up and got back on the road. I checked for fuel on the ground but didn’t see any. I drove about 40 min when I saw “0% Oil Life” in the message center. There wasn’t any lit symbols. When I saw this, I pulled of onto I-95 shoulder and turned the engine off. When I turned the engine back on the message went away. So I got back onto the 95 and proceeded. I drove for three minutes and decided that I should pull off at the next exit. I knew I was in Georgia, but I did not know where. I called Roadside Assistance again and explained what the truck was experiencing. I stopped at a BP gas station and went inside to ask for their address. The clerk was being evasive because I was on the phone with Support on speaker phone. I tried my best to use Google to locate me but the location was off. It said the BP I was at was located in Leesburg, GA. I gave Roadside that info so they could dispatch. Two times contractors were dispatched. Two different contractors both said they were 3 hours away from Leesburg. I continued to try to find out where I was. I finally went to McDonald’s across he street to see if someone would be kind enough to tell me where I am. I found the address on the door. I found that I was in Riceboro, GA. I sent a link to Roadside Assistance with the address. Nisha was finally able to find a contractor for that location. I had to wait another hour before he arrived. When he got there he turned the engine on. No message showed up in the message center. He checked the oil, and ran a diagnostic. He had turned the engine on and off a couple more times before the “O% Oil Life” message came on again. He told me that the truck was serviced but it didn’t get reset after the oil change. During all of the time waiting I was stressed because I wasn’t going to get to my destination on time which had consequences. I had to call to see what was the latest I could check in. I had to let them know before 6 PM if I couldn’t make it. This stressed me even more because I still had a 4 hour drive to get there. Google was trying to take me through another town 40 min away from my destination. I had to turn around two times before I was on the right track to my destination. I finally made it. The rental truck I picked up from 96 Soto Ln was not properly maintained causing “0% Oil Life” message to appear. I did not know the actual meaning of this message. To me that was saying there was no oil in the resivoir. It scared me! That’s why I called roadside assistance. Not only that I felt that I was going to have to come up with some other travel plans which stressed me! I do not recommend 96 Soto Ln. It was hard to take pictures of the truck based on where it was parked. I had to move it to the church property to take pictures. Considering the location is a mechanic shop, the servicing should have done a reset for the oil change. That was neglectful on the part of the dealer! That truck needs a human eye inspection. The muffler is blowing gray smoke. Fuel should not be burning so fast.

Remove this business from your partnership! They were extremely rude and unprofessional and I can’t understand why U-Haul would have people like this representing them. We arrived 20 minutes early and was told the only person that could do the paperwork was not there so we waited and at 12 minutes past our scheduled pick up time the guy arrived. He had the nerve to tell us we should not have arrived early and that he is not required to be on time for a scheduled pick up! So basically he said we can’t be early but he can be late! Ridiculous! Shame on you U-Haul for allowing people like this to represent your company, especially in an area with multiple U-Haul locations that could certainly serve the community. This business was so small that they only had room for one U-Haul trailer. Why not just put that one trailer on an actual U-Haul lot so that your clients don’t have to deal with these rude and unprofessional business people! You are allowing your customers to be treated disrespectfully by businesses that don’t care about U-Haul or your customers!
