The only negative about this rental was the late fee of $20 that I was charged (and am refuting) although I returned the rental before it was due. The problem was that I could not get the u-haul verification (several) code(s) to go through. There should be another method to verify returns of rentals other than with the use of a mobile phone. Believe it or not, there are still some folks who do not have mobile phones. I guess if you don't have one you can't rent from u-haul.Karen K.

I made a reservation online to pick up a truck from a specific location. When I arrived, I was told there was no truck for me, as somehow a location for my truck was never assigned. This is in spite of the fact that my reservation confirmation clearly stated that I would be picking up my truck from that location. As a result, I had to incur substantial additional mileage fees to pick up a truck more than 45 minutes away from the location where I made the reservation. Additionally, I was required to return the truck to the same location, increasing the mileage even further. The whole experience was horrific and U-Haul should be embarrassed at the way it was handled. The best they could do was lower my mileage rate from $1.09 to $0.99. I'll likely never use U-Haul again, and I'll be warning others to utilize any other moving service. Truly shameful customer service.Jacob L.

Everything thing was good with the truck but when I returned it after hours I could get any cell service so I had to pay an extra $20 because I could do the online return I had to be in the parking lot of the uhaul place and no cell receptionRick D.

There was no cell service anywhere near the garage. I spent over 2 hours trying to check in online. And kept putting in phone numbers to verify. The system doesn't work. It was a terrible experience. We sat outside the place/ which was closed. We were two hours trying to take pictures and keep verifying without cell service. RidiculousJoshua C.

The owner of Ace Automotive was extremely rude. He kept trying to change my reservations for the three 26' trucks. He kept insisting that I bring them back to his business even though I had one way reservations. I called the business that I originally rented from and he was nasty to them over the phone. It took well over an hour to get the keys for the trucks. And then on top of all this BS, he wouldn't hand me the keys until he told me to give him a good review! Well Buddy...here is your review. If I could give this location even less than poor I would. I would recommend any other location for drop off or better yet use another company entirely. The mobile app did not work for us even after trying for more than 45 minutes which we didnt need after a long tiring day of moving. We took photos in case they needed them, but the male did not want to even be bothered speaking with me. He directed me to call Scott, the regional manager. When Scott did finally return my call (only after I called the corporate office and that person emailed him) he was entirely dismissive, unprofessional and not at all personable. Without actually calling me a liar about our attempting to use the mobile app - he basically did. I had no reason to lie, the truck was on the premises before it was required to be with the keys in the lockbox. We were still billed a late service fee for not completing the mobile app- even though I called first thing in the morning to explain our situation and the truck was there. What a cheap small company to not try to help someone who had trouble navigating their system. And what a poor excuse for a regional manager - what tone does he set for his workers let alone his customers. He and UHAUL have lost this customer! And anyone who wants to use UHAUL I would steer clear of the mobile app and only pickup/drop off during their business hours or you too will be taken! Read the very small fine print!Matthew S.

We went to the U-Haul on a Sunday and spent 4 hours trying to get the three digit pin code that would allow us access to the keys to the truck. It was completely frustrating for all involved. Because of the delay it only allowed me 4 hours to move ; Needless to say I am going to have to rent a truck again to complete my move! Improvements need to be made to this system!!Melanie G.

I had reserved the unit for 12 o'clock it was closer to One o'clock when I finally got to leave with the truck it had an awful smell in it I sanitized everything myself almost did not make my scheduled appointment for my merchandise pick up.JEFFREY B.

This guy charged me $144 initially for what was supposed to be a hundred mile round trip which I thought was kind of expensive but it is what it is. I returned the truck on time clean and I topped off the tank a half a mile down the street. I had the receipt I gave the cashier $30 and it only took $26. He called me at 8:00 in the morning saying I owed another 30 bucks because I didn't top off the tank and because I went over the mileage. If I did indeed go over the mileage I can understand paying the difference but I 100,000% topped off the tank and because his fuel gauge was showing a millimeter below the f somehow that constituted charging me a total of almost $200 to take the 15 ft truck to get a couch. A single couch. He is a crook and a penny pincher I even offered to take the truck back to the gas station to put the gallon of gas it was short in and explain to him that the pump stopped pumping automatically which usually means the tank is full. $200 to get a couch an hour away. I've been a loyal U-Haul customer for years and actually worked for moving help.com for a long time and advertised how great you boxes are and U-Haul service. You lost me as a customer and my praise of your company unless some kind of refund can be done because I feel like I was just robbed. Oh yeah the total I went for mileage was 109 instead of 100. So an extra $30 for nine miles over HIS estimate and bring a gallon short in gas in the truck. Which honestly I don't know if I even believe it is short I would more likely believe there is a problem with the gauge or the float in the gas tank in that old truck because the pump clicked off as if it was full. Why would I put in $26 out of 30 and not just put in the last gallon of gas? I wouldn't. I live two houses down from this guy for 30 years talk about running a good neighborhood company LOL it's people like him that make me want to get every little transaction on camera and read every contract thoroughly before signing it so they can't rob me after it's too late. I hope you guys shut him down that prick does not deserve to run a u haul. Couldn't let me take the truck a half mile down the street to put the gallon of gas in to avoid paying the ridiculous fee. I hope he's happy I have a 3-year-old kid and I'm unemployed. I fucking hate people sometimes thank you guys I hope you do what's right unlike this assholeJesse H.

Incredibly BAD logistics, where I reserved a trailer weeks ahead of time, then the day before was informed I couldn't get the size I ordered (larger, which was fine) and had to travel 40 mins. out of town to pick it up. I was offered the upgrade at the same price, but when I checked as a precaution, the local rental agent had no ability to confirm and seemed irritated that I asked. When I called the regional traffic coordinator he confirmed the price but wouldn't agree to notify the rental agent, saying it should be reflected online the next day, and I should have the agent call if there was a problem. When I arrived to pick up the trailer, the online software wouldn't allow the price to be changed, and I had to wait over an hour while the agent first had to wait for the traffic manager to be available, then went through a longer wait while UHaul tech support tried to accomplish a price override. I was left with the impression that UHaul has logistics and computer software completely INADEQUATE for responsiveness to details, especially for a national corporation. Agents seemed frustrated because there was nothing they could do, leading to a very unpleasant experience that I would have canceled if there was a practical alternative. Grade A/B for agents willing to help, but Grade D for poor corporate ability to handle technical details.DAVID R.

Attitude poor again. 2nd time rental here. I have Rented from Keene, athol, Leominster (mostly) locations. Very satisfied with those. Especially great are Leominster central st. and Keene nh. Was told my 8 hour reservation could not be honored due to another reservation. Had to be 7 hour, which I did comply. Uhaul system fault I was told. Not my problem. I wanted an 8' truck to pick up a dresser and a chest, was told only had a 15' available. When I got there, they had 2 - 8' trucks parked there and they were still there after I returned the 15' truck. Only needed the truck for less than an hour. The 15' truck had lots of snow on the roof and rear bumper and tailgate. That should have been cleaned off.JON G.

Make the app process easier by trimming some of the steps off. I tried it and it was frustrating and not very easy. Just to get the key and secure the truck took 40 mins. That to long. You already had all my info and lic picture ,when I registered online then i had to go through it all again. Not very user friendly.Steven M.
