First of all I have rented trucks from U Haul several times before. This latest rental involved renting a 10 ft. Truck and a U Box from the Morton Grove , Illinois location. They did a great job as always. The problem arose when I received a call that my truck reserved at Morton Grove was not available and that I needed to go to another location in Skokie Illinois to pick it up. That meant that rather than rent the truck and U Box at the same location, I needed to visit two locations and the truck was in the opposite direction I intended to travel. Well I picked up the truck and right away warning indicators on the dash stated that my right rear and left front tires were low. I stopped at a gas station and added air to both tires. When I passed by the Morton Grove location on my way to pick up the truck , I counted 11 trucks on the premises that I was renting. When I arrived back with the full truck to transfer into a U box, those same 11 trucks were still there 3 hours later. Seriously.....why put your customers through this kind of negative experience?

My order was changed last minute from a full service location to this one at an Ace Hardware. They were not open and the lock box was frozen shut. I spent an hour trying to get it open while on the phone with U-Haul. When returning there was no drop off box either. Overall I will only rent trucks at full service locations moving forward as this was a terrible experience today
