We arrived for our scheduled pick up to find out that although we reserved two bags of blankets & furniture none of our equipment was there for us. It cost me an additional $100 to pay two workers to drive to another location to find the blankets & dolly. We were them late for my client. What's the point of placing an order if you don't provide a complete order without no notice. I lost money due to their negligence.

The Addison location and it's owner were nice however, I will never use Uhaul services!! I've never experienced a service where you make a reservation and it's not guaranteed. I reserved at 26' ft truck from one location, was told it wasn't available and had to pick up from a distant location. When I arrived to pick up at that location on my moving day, I was told there was no truck and that I had to go to another location another 20miles away to pick up a smaller truck. I had hired movers waiting for me and a truck for several hours. This process and service was nothing but a nightmare and the associates working have no idea how to handle or deal with these situations. It's stressful and difficult enough having to move and to put this added stress on your customers--no guarantee of a truck--is unheard of! Also, the blankets in the truck that I paid to use were all wet.

The customer service at this location needs improvement, along with the units themselves. The units look beat up, and unreliable. The customer service is terrible, and likes to yell at you.

Corporate screwed up not the local place. Emails sent except for one told me the location was 210 E Irving Park Rd, Wood Dale, il. 60191. There was no U-Haul company at that place, so please delete that from your database. I went there and had to travel back home, and was on hold for 15 minute until a rep told me the location was in Addison, il, on Lake St. A bit frustrating and wasted time!!!

When you change the rental location let the customer know before they show up and not 11/2 hours later and send it to a location that isn't 30 minutes away. And if you are going to do all those things, at least extend the drop off time. Also the last you can do in pandemic times when you change the location is clean the inside of the trailer. It was disgusting.

I ordered a vehicle but there was no access to get the truck. I had to go to another location where the gas was pretty much empty. The truck was filthy dirty and cigarette butts in ashtray stunk.

THIS LOCATION STOLE MONEY FROM ME, and VIOLATED THE INSURANCE COVERAGE PROCESS. I have rented Uhauls for over three years and have spent a total of about $30,000 on renting uhauls for my business. The company is overall a good company to work with, but this location is not. I have had several times where they overcharged me for rental items such as moving blankets and dollies that I did not rent, and have had times where they did not fill up the gas in the truck, but then charged me for a full tank. THEY STOLE MONEY FROM ME Today I had a vehicle from this location and it was parked in the alley as we were loading the truck. The truck was hit by a city dump truck. We were unable to get the plates, but were able to confirm the exact time, location, and color of the city dump truck. There were three witnesses that saw this occur. I am working with the regional offices of uhaul, have filed a claim, and have given them information so that they can get money from the entity responsible for the dmg. This Uhaul Location wrote up a settlement report for a settlement that never occurred, and charged me for the dmg. As non licensed insurance adjusters, they told me that the insurance coverage I purchased from Uhaul is denied. THAT IS ILLEGAL. They then automatically charged my credit card an exorbitant amount, which is also ILLEGAL. I did not dmg the vehicle, and I have cooperated fully with the regional offices of Uhaul. Be careful with this specific vendor, as they will mistreat you, and break laws in the pursuit of money.

I have used this location several times. Nice service and rental when needed. But the filthy interior of the vehicles is just unacceptable. Especially now with COVID. Used Clorox wipes to scrub seats, steering wheel, dash prior to even getting into vehicle. Black and gray wipes was so dirty. Aside from that, rental vehicles jave always been as expected and ran fine.

I had a tough situation due to the Auto transport trailer was broken , but still UHAUL replaced the trailer for me quickly through the service provider. Thanks very much for the customer service.

Make sure the A/C actually works, and clean the inside of the vehicle. I found food wrappers, from a previous renter of the vehicle, at my feet and falling out of the truck when I reached my destination. It was very hot yesterday, and having no A/C made matters much worse for my comfort. Also, gas measuring tool should be posted in ALL trucks, instead of having to search through a contract, ultimately not being able to find the gas measuring tool, anyway. I ended up putting probably $30 extra in the tank because the needle wasn't moving as it should have with the vehicle on in accessory.

I scheduled my rental in advance online. The online application worked without issue. The pickup and return went smoothly and I found the truck to be clean and in good working condition. I have rented through the Lake St Addison location 3 times in the past 4 years, and I have always been pleased with the truck and the service.

Allow customers to get rental approval before their scheduled pick up time. It is all information that can be provided and verified before the reservation, and it seems needlessly inconvenient to make the customer wait until they are on the premises to be processed for rental approval. For instance, if a person were not approved for renting, their trip to the rental location would be pointless. The process just adds confusion and frustration when you think you have already properly rented equipment.

Service at front desk was polite. The only complaint are the huge potholes filled with water leading to the uhaul facility. Other than that, well worth the truck rental. Added plus, we got a superclean truck that only had 50 miles on it. Very comfortable and made our project very easy to complete. Thanks guys

This rental started off rough. The uhaul location that I originally had my reservation under didn't have my trailer when I went to go pick up I never got a phone call or an email telling me that the previous user didn't bring it back in time. I had to call the number provided 10 times before I got through to someone. I came back to this location on Lake St. and he was able to solve the issue for me and get this rental accomplished so I could go about my business. Thank You!
