Laura GYet again uhaul moves my pickup miles away from my chosen location. This caused all sorts of delay, expense, and pick up at night in a strange location. Zero stars for UHaul (local guy Rick was OK, but why not drop the truck at Bolingbrook location requested?).

Kenneth PRich called me three days prior to the reservation informing me of a change in my location pick up. Without this phone call I would have never received notice that my location was changed. Then on pick up day he informed me how to properly unlock the truck and made it a seamless process. There was no notice from my application informing me of the location change for pickup. Rich gave me enough notice to plan ahead.

Vincenzo BI had to get my U-Haul from the one on 30 highway in Joliet they also had a location on Jefferson but the one on Jefferson and Joliet the woman was very rude to me when I made my reservation so I ended up canceling rescheduling on the phone with the lady and picking up at a different location which they were way better and very nice and pleasant

As I spoke with him at pick up, when I was discussing a situation, he made a connection between myself and his own sister. Everything was easy and well done
JUDITH GThis was not a great experience renting from this location. I was given verbal instructions on the phone on my way to pick up the vehicle. Nobody was there and the truck was left open and the key in the visor. I got in the truck and drove down the road luckily for only about two miles. I say luckily because the back door was not latched properly so as I drove the door opened about 1 foot. When I got to my house I noticed it was open and the person following me confirmed that it opened as i traveled down the road and that nothing fell out. The back of the vehicle had some small pieces of garbage, nothing bad but the dolly was not secured against the wall, one moving blanket was on the floor and the bag it is held in was unzipped. I did not request those items to rent and I did note that I was not charged but they were in the way and I had to secure them. Once I had the van packed and I was going to empty in the morning I went to use the padlock and noticed that there was no key on the keychain as I had seen on a truck I rented from another location the week before. I needed to secure my cargo so I called the owner, or whoever had called me earlier in the day and I left a message but never received a call back, nor even a mention when I returned it. I had to go to Walmart and purchase a lock at my own expense. The van shifts terribly. once you are going into what sounds like 3rd and 4th gears the RPMs would rev up to nearly 4000 and it sounded terrible. I made sure to have the haul/tow button on and off at the appropriate times but this did nothing to change the odd shifting. I also feel that the truck is extremely inefficient in gas consumption. The previous week I had rented a 26' truck from another location and drove more miles and spent around $30 in gas before returning. On this 20' van I went less miles and spent $50 to refill the tank. Returning it was also an experience. I called to ask how to return it. I let him know where I had picked it up from and he told me to just park it there and drop the key in the box. When I got there I wasn't able to park it where I picked it up from because there was another van there so I parked it on the street and went to go into the building but the door was locked, I'm not even sure it was the correct building. I called the same number that I had been and I got voicemail so I let him know that I left it on the street because I didn't know where else to park it and that I dropped the key in the box. It was a bad experience from the start to the finish and I would appreciate being reimbursed for the lock I had to purchase to secure my cargo overnight. I would also appreciate a refund in an amount that you feel is necessary to have dealt with all of this. Jeff Krohn
Jeff KIt was a little hard to figure out where to park even with the manager who was so helpful and kind on the phone with me after hours. Maybe some signage indicating where to park the large trucks after hours would be helpful. I cannot emphasize enough, however, that the manager that I spoke to was exdeedingly helpful after hours on a Saturday night. I just couldn't figure out what he was telling me, but luckily the neighboring business manager happened to be leaving as we arrived and he helped as well.

Ian MI had a very good experience picking up trailer for rent. The hitch was inspected and the trailer hooked up for me. everything worked well and the drop off later in the day was easy,
Thomas RNobody was there when we tried to drop off. Apparently there are several businesses at this location, we received help from one of the other businesses, who told us to pull into the fenced area and drop off. We did on December 22. For some reason, this business owner has stated we didn't drop off until Christmas Eve, to which I have timestamped photos of the trailer dropped off within their fenced area showing the 22nd. If I do not receive my refund for the additional day, I will report it to my card as fraud.
