People at the pickup location were rude, did not help at all, just told us to use the app and walked away. I called to say we were on our way, told me they close at 5.Called him out on the 6pm closing time, he said oh yeah, 6. Offered no assistance, no information. Flat our RUDE. When I asked for help with the app he said "can't help you, call UHaul". Would NEVER recommend or pick up at this location again. You might want to consider not using this location.Kevin K.

The location did not have personnel to receive the key. Key box did not have an opening to drop the key inside. The store says it opens at 9am on Saturday but the manager did not show up until 10:30am. I got to the location before 8am for the truck drop off and didn't get to drop the key with someone until 10:30am which is unacceptable. I will never use this location again or recommend it to anyone.Peter K.

Trailer brakes were inoperable. The reason I rented this trailer is because my truck is a 1500 and requires the trailer to have working brakes. I had access to a trailer for free, but declined because it didn't have brakes.JAMES T.

make sure THE TRUCK IS smoke free!!! SMELLED !!! I would make sure your passenger doesn't have to smell the Cigarettes either! The location was perfect for our needs; close proximity to what we needed to move. The truck was clean and in good condition. My issue is with the U-Haul app. The performance of the app has been inconsistent and far too many steps. It took us over 30 minutes to pick-up the truck.Colleen C.

I cannot begin to explain how upset I am with Uhaul. First, I had a confirmation email to pick-up my truck at 8am in Parsippany. The day before it changes to 10am in Hopatcong which is 30 minutes away from the original location. So I lost two hours and had to drive 30 minutes. I called Uhaul the day before and the two reps I spoke to could not care less. I also asked to speak to a supervisor which they said would call me Friday. They did not. Fast forward to Saturday. Now I already lost two hours, I drive to Hopatcong, and there is no one at the shop. It's closed. I have to check in on my phone which I was told I would have the option to do in person at the shop. How could I do that if there was not a soul there? What if I did not have a smartphone to do so? How would someone be able to check out the car? Also - if this location was closed, why could I not pick up at my original time since there were several times available. Once we complete the check-in on the phone, we get instructions to go to a certain van. Well, the keys were locked in the van and not where the instructions say they were. On the website it had an option to put "cannot access keys." Every time we hit that, it would just say to go into the service center to ask for help. How could we do that if they were closed? We had to call the emergency Uhaul hotline to get help and they had us take another truck. We couldn't check out properly because all the information matched the old truck we were originally supposed to take. It was chaos and we wasted an hour trying to get the van. We were so behind schedule Uhail ruined our entire day. Moving is a huge day for your customers and they rely on you. We were let down tremendously and would never recommend it. We deserve something for all the aggravation and the significant delay to our moving day.Joseph N.

I have 3 different pending charges on my Amex account and had to call you and Amex to try to fix this situation. I only drove for 43 miles total and I'm being charged for 143 miles. When I picked up the vehicle it had 2262 miles and dropped off at 2302. The owner of the business there never checked the vehicle or the mileage. I asked him if I had to sign or do anything and he said â€œno, I will take care of itâ€. Now I'm waiting on a regional sales manager to call me. Not a good experience at all!Frank G.

They opened 15 min late, the guy was very unprofessional. they did not due a written inspection of the truck and the back of the truck was not cleaned before I took it. I was call a day after I dropped the truck off to see if I dropped the truck back off so he never checked the truck back in that I handed him the keys for.John M.

I was told that i would not be charged for an extra day if the truck was returned before the location opened on Monday morning(the truck was returned on Sunday). I also paid for 2 utility dollies, a furniture dolly and an appliance dolly, I was only provided 1 utility dolly. My overall experience during my move was very frustrating and I was very disappointed with my experienceJennifer R.

I reserved this trailer at another location. I received an email stating that the location did not have the trailer . The trailer was then reserved at Advanced Car Care. This business is closed on Saturday and Sunday so unhaul told me to pick up on Friday and I only have to pay for one day. Now I was charged for 3 days. Terrible customer service not doing what you said you would do. I want to be reimbursed for 2 days.James T.

Initially went to south Huntington, Long Island location to pick up truck. At 9:55am for a 10 AM reservation I was notified that the truck was not available and that my reservation is cancelled for that day. I arrived at the location and was told there was nothing they could do and was asked to leave. I refused and not until I spoke to the president of U haul operations for long island and 1 hour later were they able to find me a truck. The truck was 70 miles away to pick up. Thanks for the $50 coupon, didn't even use it.Matthew T.

The location was excellent, and the person on staff at this center was excellent. Uhaul as a company was a nightmare to deal with. My location was changed days after my reservation, my new reservation was wrong, customer service was extremely unpleasant and hung up on me multiple times when they felt my questions were answered and they weren't. I didn't have any problema with the personal from the pickup location, they were helpful because I request a furniture dolly and they didn't have it so they gave me a appliance dolly instead, I think the problem was the logistics fro. The reservation, they need to call the customer same day when reservation is made in order to explain about the no warranty of the location when to get a one way plus the policy of the 50 miles, I drove 45 miles just to pickup the truck and it get me delay to the moving dayNoel R.

Not hand the customer a shovel and tell them to dig out the car trailer from the snow. Not just a few inches but a snow bank where the plow had piled feet of snow on top of the trailer. I am embarrassed for you. Oh I took pictures they will be uploaded soon.Keith W.

I wish there was a "clean" rating of "sorta." It was basically clean, but the previous renter had smoked in it and used the arm rest for an ashtray. Ew. AND forgot his two guitars behind the driver's seat - karma for using the arm rest as an ash tray! But i was very satisfied. It was clean enough, super handy and super easy to order, pickup and use. I am sure I will do this again.Karen C.
