I contacted uhaul in order to return the truck and I basically got led with a poor excuse of “our system is actually down so I cannot help you with the return process on the truck” it was around 11pm, about 15 minutes before truck needing to be returned and they couldn't help me so I was billed for a completely separate day. It was of course after hours for the place of pick up and returning. That's not all, the truck really wasn't the cleanest, there was several things under the seats that moved forward upon driving, the truck had a weird smell and it was just an awful experience. I contacted them upon returning it and questioned the charges as I don't believe that's fair for what I got billed as it was poor customer service and an issue upon needing to return and they did nothing in their power to make me a happy or satisfied customer. I am most definitely going to be talking to someone higher up than who I talked to and I would like this to be resolved in some way. Reservation # 2954846 so you guys know i had actually a reservation which ended up being from the 21 to the 23 of march. I am one upset customer.

The online pickup experience is the worst I have ever experienced. To make your customer stand in the hot sun in the middle of an industrial area for 45 minutes, just because the verification process is so tedious, unnecessary, inefficient and slow, is almost criminal.

The person who helped me when I picked up my truck was friendly and very accommodating. Unfortunately my experience with renting a U-Haul from this location went downhill after returning my vehicle. I didn't have my phone on me when I went to return the van after hours, so I accepted that I would be charged a small service fee. This is for the convenience of having someone check the surveillance system the following business day to verify that I had returned the equipment on time. This was explained to me by the person I spoke with at the time of pickup. What actually happened, though, was that whoever checked in my van neglected to verify when I had dropped off the van, instead opting to bill me for three extra days where the van sat parked in their lot with the keys in their drop box. It took me 7 days, talking with 7 different U-Haul representatives, to finally track down the $175 that had been charged to my credit card in error. If this mistake had been fixed promptly, or if someone had bothered to reach out to explain why it was taking longer than initially expected to process my refund, I would have been more than understanding. But the local and regional managers I was referred to took days to acknowledge that they were working on my dispute. I nearly lost faith in the customer support process entirely and I was hours away from giving up and reporting the charge as fraudulent to my bank. I am not sure whether this U-Haul location or the U-Haul corporate office is to blame for this experience. I suspect it is both. Either way, if you plan to rent from U-Haul, I would suggest trying one of the other near-by locations.

Online rental process took at least 30min. Would be great if that could be done up-front or you should at least mention that. Cost me 30 min of my rental time and could not finish everything because of that delay

Wasn't given direct instructions on how to ensure the rental dolly and furniture pads in the truck wouldn't get stolen since I returned the truck after hours. I didn't want someone stealing it those items overnight and then being charged for lost items, so I forfeited my own personal pad lock.
