The pick up place was fine. It's Uhaul that sucks!! The last three times I've booked on your website I've been called a day or two later, and told the equipment I booked isn't at that location and if I want that piece I have to go to another location. You did it to me again with rental, and to top it off I requested to be able to drop the trailer in another location, MUCH MUCH closer to my home, and was told that fine and when I went to pick up the trailer was told my contract had me dropping it in a location 40 miles from my home instead of 4 miles. I'm done with Uhaul!!!

I ordered a truck AND a movers dolly AND a set of moving pads. I used the mobile checkout after hours as uhaul recommended. I had difficulties with the mobile check in because of low cell service at this location! Although the truck was ready and obtainable by the mobile function, the other items were not in the truck and inaccessible. I tried to call customer service and was told my wait time would be 10 minutes. 20 minutes later, the wait time changed to 90 minutes and I requested a call back (no one called back). I never did get the additional items! The next morning I was able to talk with customer service and supposedly these items were removed from my bill. I still need to verify this.

The customer service women on the phone gave me no help what so ever. Was vary rude and unhelpful in my search for a different Uhaul and would not reroute my truck. I asked specifically for a fergus falls location and a possible location change if there was one. She told me there was no way for any of those things to happen and that if I didn't show up right when they opened I'd loose my uhaul and wouldn't get a refund. I checked online about what she had told me and it was all FALSE INFORMATION. She had done no research what so ever. I asked for specific details from her and I got more info from the website. I found out later that day that there were not just one but EIGHT OTHER UHALS AVAILABLE. Not only did she lie to me about the truck be also relocation. I found on the website (same day as phone call) that I could have rerouted the truck from fergus to my own town in Fargo which I had suggested but received no honest answer. I will never use this moving company again. And I will be telling everyone I know about this expirence. Good day sir.

I had scheduled my U-Haul for pick up at 9 o'clock in the morning and when I got to the site nobody was there so do you have a company contacted theOwner of the site in otter tail and he stated that nobody would be there because it is a seasonal location so then I was advised by him that I could hook up the trailer by myself.. mind you I am a girl getting a 6 x 12' cargo trailer and I'm expected to lift this thing up by myself and get it set up on my hitch and get it all connected. I'm supposed to hook everything up properly take pictures of what I'm doing and send it to him while I'm doing this. My 9 o'clock pick up for U-Haul ended up me leaving the pick up site for U-Haul at 10:30 in the morning and I had a set time that I needed to be at my drop off location because I need to be there to be able to sign my application for my apartment and I had a safety deposit and everything else before I was last out on my security deposit and my apartment because I was 45 mins late getting to my location. I had to go across the street to a gas station to ask some random guy if he could help me lift the U-Haul trailer onto the hitch. And I'm pretty sure I paid the five dollars extra for the coverage to make sure I had help with trailer hookups. I was also expected to verify that my equipment was the right equipment that needed to be used for the 6 x 12 trailer and nobody was there to Confirm that and I'm pretty sure they're supposed to.

I never knew what a pain it was to rent a simple trailer. Step after step after step and I understand u haul has to keep everything in order it just seemed more difficult than it had to be. I'm glad I had a great guy to work with at Advanced Storage in Ottertail MN if I didn't have him I would have given up!

The truck was covered in snow. The windshield had about an eighth of an inch of ice on it. I had to walk thru shin deep snow to get to the side of the building where the key lock boxes are located and over shin deep snow to clean the truck off which had no scraper or snow brush. Since my truck wasn't in Alexandria where I made the reservation I had to travel an hour each way out of my way to get the truck I reserved. If I'm able to reserve the truck online at a location it should be available upon the reservation being booked and if not, it shouldn't be offered as available for that location. LASTLY! After driving the truck back to the Alexandria Mn, where we are moving from, I go out the next morning to find the key isn't working to unlock the truck and after trying the key for an hour and a half it finally unlocked. Guessing this is due to it being a key someone made, not original to the vehicle. I tried to lock and then try to unlock the door while I left the door open to assure I wouldn't get locked out and was never able to get the key to work in either drive or passenger door. Therefore, I was never able to lock the truck with my belongings in it the whole drive from Alexandria to Sioux Falls. NEVER AGAIN!

Ordered a 5x8 trailer about a week ahead of time. 5x8 not a available, so Uhaul upgraded to a 6x12 which was way too big. I settled on a 4x8. I scheduled pickup for 9:30 am. was told I could not hook up trailer myself. When attendent did not arrive on time I called him. He indicated he was running an hour late. I was then told to hook up trailer by myself. Trailer was okay, but the hitch lock down was so rusty I could not turn without using a Pipe Wrench. (Regular lubrication would help). I also had to take pictures and email to the attendent. All took extra time which I did not have. Better communication is needed.

The method of that multiple pictures of various things is infuriating. I don't remember how many attempts we did of the front of the drivers license. The self service locations should give a discount for the time to go through the system. No U-haul person is required so charging the same rate as others is a windfall for you.

In manned location. Could not get 6 x 12 trailer off hitch by myself. U haul rep would not come for 6 hrs. Finally had to use my jack and spare tire for block to get trailer off. Uhaul should have a jack include on these trailers!

We were never told this was our pick up location. I had booked a pick up at Stoneman Oil in Wadena, MN. Did not find out until the morning of pick up that the location changed. I drove 45 miles out of our way to pick up our UHaul. Called UHaul 1-800 number to get assistance. Nothing they could do. Running very late and the truck had not been cleaned and did not have a full tank of gas. PLEASE remove Stoneman Oil from you website if this is not a valid pick up location. Sooooo frustrating! I have also sent an email to a UHaul rep. and no response.

The Ottertail drop off location exceeded my expectations. Although they were listed as a seasonal location and self-serve drop off, the site was open and staffed and the drop off was seamless. No additional costs, delays or issues.

24/7 service was hard to understand. Called the numbers on the building for help and they were wrong numbers. (Name was Ryan and doesn't work for uhaul so he had no clue what we were talking about.) Called the customer support from the website. They were no help and then on top of it a supervisor was disrespectful towards me and I had to request upper management to speak to. Shaun was a great person to talk to. Walked us through the online stuff, apologized for the trouble and got us on the road 2 hours after we were supposed to be. Having someone working at the building to avoid all of this would have helped. Shaun said someone would contact us about our experience but no one has. We were supposed to also talk about a discount for our trouble.

We never actually met with anyone when dropping off the trailer. It said they were open but nobody was there to receive the trailer. We called and we wer told to just leave it. That was unnerving. We then received an email three days later stating the equipment wasn't returned. Again... unnerving. That doesn't give a consumer a lot of confidence.

All in all I was contacted 5 times for my C #. They said gas was at 3/4 ..it was at 1/2. Thevworst experience ever!!!
