I reserved a truck at a location closer to where I am moving. 2 weeks in advance. The night before I was supposed to get it, the email said it was at another location 7 miles away. I guess it was ok for Uhaul but I am the one paying for the extra 14 miles at 1.29 a mile. Our budget was tight enough as it is. When I called th 800 number of uhaul the person said "its only a few extra miles"-out of my pocket! Customer service didn't care. I told the new location where we picked it up and she couldn't do anything about it. Other than that the service was great. I wish they would give you more notice and understand that the customer is paying for all the extra mileage.Thomas H.

The largest truck I could rent was a 26 foot truck. I had a lot to move. It took 2 & 1/2 or 2 & 1/4 truck loads. I told them I did not need blankets or a hand truck. Upon opening the back there was a hand truck that took up space and several blankets above the hand truck. They could NOT be removed to make room I caused me wasted space, that I paid for. In the past, U-haul trucks did NOT do that. It was very annoying.Saltora G.

I had chosen to use mobile pick up to pick up my truck outside of business hours for the Furniture and More location in Camden DE. I confirmed my reservation and location 48 hours ahead of time with uhaul. The person confirmed that my truck was at the location. When I arrived that morning to pick it up the mobile pick up option wasn't working - I called uhaul customer service and they told me that the closest available location for the equipment that I needed was 45 minutes away. Whoever I talked to gave me the number for the scheduling department. I then called the scheduling department and this person gave me the same information. After going back and forth with this person and explaining how this was a HUGE inconvenience for me, she switched me to another location a few minutes down the road that had a truck I could use. The location I was switched to was not available when I tried to book my reservation. Why did my mobile pick up not work when I had confirmed the location and equipment availability ahead of time? Why was this not communicated with me until the last minute? Why did I have to talk to two people before my problem was fixed? I'm sure that I'm not alone when I say that my moving day was very carefully calculated and scheduled down to the minute when it came to the time I needed to pick up my truck and get on the road in order to get to my destination at the time I had scheduled for my movers to arrive to help me unload. This experience with uhaul was terrible. If I could rate this 0 stars I would. I've also had an issue with uhaul mobile pick up in the past at a location in Philadelphia. My truck was not there when I needed it to be after hours and when I called the location the guy who answered the phone yelled at me and said that he wished uhaul would stop telling people that there were trucks available when the truck size that I had reserved DID NOT EVEN FIT ON HIS PROPERTY. It is ridiculous. Uhaul should not have mobile pick up as an option if they can't come through and fulfill the needs of people. A moving company like this should be 24/7. I reserved the uhual for 24 hour rental. I was told upon picking up the rental that I had to return it well before the 24 hrs. I spent over an hour on the phone with waiting/talking to a representative. I was transferred to the wrong representative during that time. I will NOT use uhual after this experience. I had to make all new arrangements because of your mistake! I was made to feel like it was my mistake even though it is not listed anywhere that you are not guaranteed the 24 hr rental. My truck was not safe at all. I am requesting a refund. I could not go over 50 miles per hour with out the truck steering being hard to keep the truck on the road.
