If I could give it less than one star I would. Dirty, run down, should be condemned mattress outlet. Ill-informed unprofessional employee. We reserved one-way Akron to Kent on line. Even though the screen showed local rental - and who knows what that might mean?! - it also still showed the rental as one way Akron to Kent. We communicated this to the employee, who evidently had never learned any effective communication skills beyond mumbling and grunting, which he seemed to acknowledge. When asked which of the three locations in Kent we should return it to, we gathered by his response it didn't matter, they would make finally billing there. The truck had dirt on the flooring, which is so formed as to make it virtually impossible to clean with a broom, requiring a professional level vacuum to suck it out of all the depressions etc. Trash in the cab under both seats which I removed to avoid being charged for not cleaning cab out upon return. Operationally, the vehicle ran fine excepted for very loose steering which made any bump in the road or strong gust of wind a challenge to keep vehicle in lane. SAFETY FIRST! AT NO TIME EITHER, ON YOUR WEBSITE OR AT THE RENTAL LOCATION, WERE WE CLEARLY INFORMED THE CONTRACT WAS FOR LOCAL USE ONLY OR THAT (As we learned when we went to drop vehicle off in Kent) THERE WOULD BE AN ADDITIONAL $200 FOR DROP OFF IN KENT! As a result we paid an additional mileage charge bringing the vehicle back to Akron, that we were not contracting for. Please strip this "business" at Akron Mattress Company 122 W Market St, Akron, OH of it's dealership. It does not represent the national, professional image of U-Haul you are paying your marketing personal to portray! Not pleased at all!
Andrew BThe truck had multiple lights on the dash, the passenger side door would not close, and the driver's seat would not move to adjust to my height needs. The people at the pick-up location did not tell me to gas up the truck when I took it back. Then, I had to pay for extra miles then to go fill it up.
MADISON HRamp was broken, could not get in out. Pick up and drop off location was sketchy and uncomfortable for as young female by myself. Uhaul needs maintenance as it was SUPER loud while driving AND passenger window kept sliding down while driving - had to pullover multiple times to roll it up
Haley SThe business itself is dark and unwelcoming. The guy that was there was the only bright spot. He was helpful and nice. The trailer was clean inside, but dirty outside. It pulled fine.

Sharon SPerson that took care of me had no knowledge on renting uhauls. It took way longer then it should've been. We were not informed if we brought truck back a day later it was a 90.00 dollar charge other then the 29.95 charge per day. Other wise we would've made sure to bring it back on time. He wasn't aware of that charge either which tells you just how bad his knowledge was. They shouldn't be in the uhaul renting business. When he called main office they didn't care we had to pay the 90.00 fee. Pretty sad a big company like that can't train new members of the uhaul rental service. I will never rent from them again and would recommend using someone else.
