The uhaul itself had problems. The reservation was originally made to be picked up in Bellingham, not Alger we returned it a day early. I expected some type of refund.

The truck was clean. It handled very well. However, It had trouble shifting. on one occasion, the RPMs went up very high without shifting. I pulled over and stopped and then started again and it worked.

JERRY PThis whole, "DO YOU VOUCH?" thing is silly because, for someone to get a call out of the blue and asked if they will vouch for someone, with no idea what that all entails and means as per the details and for them. Is disrespectful and expectation or request as it put a weird dynamic between the renter and whom ever number they gave. A previous option of giving away some one else number to company without there permission was more then enough of an over reach.

Karl JOn return of the truck I had for less than 3 hours and only drove a total of 9 miles I was struggling because the defrost was broken and it was hard to see in the rain, when I arrived the cardboard thing in the window was wet and Tammy really grilled me, I mean grilled me. There was a bit of leaves and dampness on the floor of the truck and she freaked out and at that time I grabbed my broom that I brought from home and cleaned it up. Absolutely awful experience especially the customer service. If she didn’t want the cardboard to get damaged SHE should have removed it upon rental. I also rented a storage unit and enrolled in the auto pay. To say the least not a great start to giving my business to this location.

Candace WHonestly what's the point of reserving a uhaul if the day before your told that you have to drive an extra 40 minutes both ways that you get charged for? Not to mention it looked like there was the size i asked for at several closer locations on my drive. Then the app told me to drop off at the Alger location when I requested one closer to the destination, only to change after I put the key in the box. All in all it was a not a good uhaul experience. I can't get mad at the employees at either location because they can't do anything to help either

MICHAEL SThe use of your return app using your smart phone is HORRIBLE!! And an extra charge of $20 is robbery! I returned the truck late at night to a parking lot next to the storage facility. It was dark, and the requirement of the (3) photos of the vehicle was awful. Why didn't you tell me I'd have to take all of the photos up front on the app? NO, I had to tramp back and forth in a dark area, after a very long and physically hard day of moving taking pictures of specific parts of the truck, or pay an extra! Whom ever came up with this app idea has never lifted a finger as it relates to a self moving project in their life! You folks need to realize it's dark, I was so tired I could have been injured ~ what's wrong with this picture? No customer service using the crappy app!!!!

DANIEL GNo improvements needed. Truck available on short notice. Equipment was clean and new large trucks are easy to drive with good mirrors. Tammy and Steven were both great to work with. I needed truck for an extra day after poor planning on my part. The first answer from Tammy was "no problem, we can make this work". This was a great moving experience because of their customer service.

Tifani WThe remote (smart phone) check-in didn't work. There was a ding that wasn't "X" marked and I tried using the check-in feature to record this but it wouldn't upload the photo. And it would have been nice to have even known about this feature before I was checking out because I had to run back into the office to let them know about the ding and then they let me know about the app feature (which I had to run back in again to show wasn't uploading).

George RThe gas mileage on the van was terrible. I drove 25 miles and when I filled the gas tank it took a little over 10 gallons. This means either the gas gauge is faulty or the gas mileage is really bad.
Frank BPaid on line trying to get everything taken care of before I picked up the key. When trying to pick up key I was told I had to download the uhaul app I did and tried to 3 times but it said it couldn’t find my location. I sat in my car for 20 minutes trying to work on getting my key even though I already paid and was now late while I had people waiting for me at my storage unit! I called the office she gave me a number to call. “Experts” I asked her to please just get the key out of the locked boxed but she said she couldn’t because I had paid on line and had to get a code to open it! This didn’t have to be so COMPLICATED. She said it’s the time we’re living in! I taked to your experts who then called her and had her come out and verify my Drivers license then she got the key out of the box ANYWAYS! I understand that there is a pandemic going on but this is NOT how you treat people! I work at Costco I’m in the middle of hundreds of people a day and I do not treat anyone like this! She in the end had to take her gloves off and her mask off just to get the locked box open to get the key. Worst experience ever!! This is a hard time for everyone but a little compassion goes a long way!

Frederick MI thought the additional telephone numbers required were excessive. I had people I could use but not everyone does and the logic for it seemed illogical! If U-haul needed/wanted to reach me and couldn't on my cell, then how would those other people reach me?? Other than that, the service was good.

ted sThe truck we rented had a large crack through the driver side of the windshield. It made it difficult to see the road at times, especially driving over 3,000 miles during our rental period.
Samuel EI originally needed to take the truck back to Bellingham (from Alger, where I dropped off my possessions) and in my registration process I preferred to take it to the Alger Mini Storage (since it's obviously closer; not sure why they did that). I was able to call Costumer Service and they were able to change the location for me. It was much more convenient for me. Thank you!

Betty AI had no intention to use this location as the equipment was much time and distance out of the way from my task. Also the equipment was much larger than my need. However this choice was forced by my confirmed reservation for a smaller truck very near my need being revised without authorization by U-Haul to a new time and place that was absolutely not acceptable to me performing the moving task for my daughter. U-Haul needs to honor their confirmed reservations without bait and switch to up truck and mileage costs all to the benefit of U-Haul and to the determent of the customer.
