Double charging on reservation and not giving a receipt. I caught this issue on my bank statement. Called corporate for my refund immediately do better Uhaul.

Because of the system being down I waited for an hour . The male that worked at the gas station didn't seem as if he knew what to do . He kept trying get he transaction to go through . I then had to asked the cashier to contact U-haul to let them know they needed overide and do a manuel sale . The store cashier then gave me the number for U-haul customer service (the store cashier should have contacted cutomer service on behalf of the customer ) However to cutomer service to tell them the problem. Uhaul made everything ok. I will never rent at this location again , not because the U-hauls system were down , but because the 3 men that worked at the store seemed as if they didn't know what to do ! Terrible experience. sale .

Karina GThe truck had garbage and blankets in the back of it. I let the clerk know and he cleaned it. The front cab was dirty mainly due to the snow. The truck ran out of wiper fluid after using it for the first time which made it difficult in snowy muddy conditions. There was no ice scraper provided for this type of season. The truck also must have a gas leak because it was burning gas way to fast, I spent a total of $180.01 and only traveled 205 miles. My front driver side tire blew out on me on the highway. Roadside assistance did come pretty quickly which probably was the best experience. The roadside technician said he could also smell gas but could not locate a leak. This truck needs to be checked out before renting to another customer as it has saftey issues.
MICHAEL KWhen I arrived, there was no information on the rental for the U-Haul. The process itself took over an hour, when I preregisteted the night before. I will never return to this location, as I had movers at my apartment waiting on me to show up because the U-Haul was not ready in time. I would give 0 stars if possible.

Cydnee JI was disappointed because the van I rented had no go in it and I had to fill it up which cost $90. When I asked to be reimbursed, they gave me a $12 refund. I’ve always had a great experience with U-HAUL but this was a really big concern.

CASEY CThis place closes early so that is a detraction however I was able to get my UHaul do to the kindness of the staff. One issues was that they did not have the equipment I needed after hours and the truck was on empty. I was grateful to be able to get the truck however so it was a wash for me.
SHEILA MDid not provide the equipment we had requested in our order. Had to use a smaller truck size than requested because there weren’t any bigger ones around. The trucks windshield was literally taped to the roof. There was barely any gas in it. The staff was incoherent and charged us for an applicance dolly because there was not a furniture dolly.

For 4 miles fuel after fuel level was on the same mark and it was the straight truck for 19.95… horrible customer service and a waste of money.

michael eYou guys rented us a truck that leaked coolant and overheated you did send out mobile mechanic out who basically poured coolant in the radiator and told my employee to put coolant in it every morning when I called in to swap out the truck I was given the runaround for two hours and had to spend $900 on a new truck because I was losing 250 an hour waiting not to mention the time and money I lost waiting for the mobile mechanic you guys cost me three grand total between the two truck rentals delays in Deliveries and Wages for my guy and fuel cost. Currently our attorney is reviewing your rental Agreement . We rented three or four trucks a year. We will never use your company again and we’re gonna advise all our partners in the Asset management community not to use you guys, absolutely disgraceful To be clear, it was got to pick up location That gave me the runaround on the phone. It was customer service,roadside assistance, and whatever traffic is I am also writing the Better Business Bureau. In addition to writing an email to your corporate office.
hunter GStaff had limited ability to speak English , truck had trash inside of cab and when returning to location there was no return process staff took key and said” ok your good” . I would find another location if I need to rent a truck again .

Naiya JTruck reeks of cigarette smoke that was quite nauseating for my wife and I. Did not have the equipment we requested either. The pick up location was an hour away instead of the five minutes from my home where I booked it a month in advance.
Cole HWe just had to wait a little bit because the manager was a little busy with a business associate but overall he was very professional and helpful. Otherwise it would be 5 stars ⭐️! The truck did have a leftover pastry container in it but it was okay as far as cleanliness.

They changed the price from 3,486.00 to total 3.974.26. This would have been nice to know ahead of time when comparing rates, and making a trip budget for our move!!!
John MFriendly service, but the employees/owner also run a full gas station/convenience/liquor store at this location and those customers take priority. The majority of the employees do not speak English, and I guess that wasn't such a problem, other than the timing and readiness that need improvement for U-Haul services & customers. They asked If I had a reservation and I said yes, but I was told to wait for a moment, and told to hold on regularly, and that they would be right with me, and I unfortunately ended up standing and waiting for about 45 mins to an hour. Overall it just took too long before an employee came over and handled everything and he seemed like he was the only one that knew how to handle U-Haul dealer services or speak fluent English. That being said, I believe that they should focus on training more employees on how to handle this. Anyhow, after he arrived it took all of 5 minutes and then I was handed the keys and a receipt was printed out. I did have to clear the snow off of the truck before I did my walk around inspection too. The truck was reliable, but only in the sense that it got me from point a to point b. There was a point during my trip that i started to get nervous when the engine started chirping at idle. It sounded like maybe it needed a new belt or pully but, by the time i realized that, I was already too far down the road (2 states over) with 4 more to go. Getting the road side assistance with the rental did give some ease in this concern. Lastly, I will say that I do recommend this dealer to others, but for local in state travel only, inspect your truck well because you never know what your going to get. This could of just been one of those times that this location inherited some older trucks and for all i know they'll have some nice or newer vehicles down the road. So anyhow, I encourage you to drive by a couple locations within close vicinity to where your at so you can make a well informed decision always or at the very least have an idea of each dealers inventory of equipment-trucks & the sizes available. If you have to travel quite a distance, a good rule of thumb is to just find a location that has newer model trucks. Don't every put yourself in a position where you have to question the reliability of the equipment during your trip. Everything on my truck functioned as intended, the radio, heater, a/c, lights, cab lights, locks, keys, windows, seats, rear door & latch, etc. But the interior of the cab was not very clean, nor did it look like it had been wiped down. Some extra TLC from the dealer could of taken care of that. Also, the back of the truck looked like it hadn't been swept or cleaned since the previous operator/renter used it. When a customer spends thousands on a rental to drive across the country, a little extra effort and time can go a long way. 3 Star - Average (Because this dealer can do things to improve if they begin to care more about U-Haul Service timing, Truck Appearance/Readiness and Customer Service)

Allen GThe truck we reserved was not available when we went to pick up. The instructions for 24/7 did not work so we had to do a 30 minute process with an agent on the phone to be able to get the 15 truck. We finally get the key and opened the car. It smelled like cigarettes, mud was in the floors, the cup holder was an ashtray, the floor was disgusting. Then we start the car and it had less than 1/16 of the tank. So we needed to add gas. When we asked the agent about gas reimbursement if we filled up the tank she said they don't do it and if we wanted to go anywhere we needed to add gas. So we did. The back of the track had a weird net on it that we didn't use but probably someone forgot it there. Returning the truck was better but we had to park the truck back in the same mud/dirt area. It was the worst experience I've had with u-haul

Jean MThey run other business and said they were too busy to take my truck. I drove to a location that was open so I could confirm everything with a person and not just drop. They refused. Said there would be no extra charges. Then came the $106 charge. My complaint and the correction from the dealer without the apology due.
GARY DFirst truck had little gas after doing external inspection, fortunately, because as I attempted to fill up the truck the gasoline just poured out into the concrete at my feet/shoes because the fuel line was cut. Went back inside to let the store employees know; they seemed confused and almost didn't believe me, until I physically showed them. Called UHual to inform them as well. Took about half an hour to get keys to a different truck. Did another inspection and this trucks dash said one of the left tires was low PSI and needed air. Choosing that it would not be in either parties best interest I informed the store employees again. Had to physically show them the issue again and rather than swap the truck out I was forced to wait while they unsuccessfully tried to clear the dash message/warning about the left tire by using the coin operated air pump which had a faulty PSI gauge (kept showing 30). Frustrated, the employee said nothing to be as the hop back in the truck and drive across the parking lot to a semi truck and talked to someone who was not working inside, the driver. I walked over as they chatted back in forth in Punjabi. The truck driver uses their handheld PSI gauge which confirmed the tires were a little low still. They insisted it was okay and insisted I take the truck. At those point I was almost 2 hours into this process and lost too much time I needed to be moving. The first UHaul employee I spoke to on the phone suggested I call back after returning the truck if I was interested in reimbursement/discount for my troubles. Second employee I spoke to after returning the truck the same evening seemed confused by this and said they would email a manager. All and all this was a pretty painful experience. Might think twice before closing UHaul and definitely never returning to those location. It was clear these vehicles were not well secured, taken care of or looked after by the employees at the detriment of the customer.
Daniel MIt took a very long time to get truck, they couldn’t find the keys. Didn’t know any answers to my questions. And just generally weren’t helpful. If I were UHaul I won’t let them represent me!

Tracy OOverall a really good experience. The digital check-in and turn-in is very convenient and efficient. Two comments: 1) The All in One Convenience location doesn't have great cell phone coverage; most people only get one or two bars of signal. I understand that this is situation in other locations as well. It would be helpful in U-Haul mandated that pick-up locations (such as gas stations, convenience stores, etc) had wi-fi to aid in the digital process. That way folks aren't sitting for 30 minutes waiting for pictures to upload. 2) The U-Haul website offers different types of dollies for rent. You may not be aware that NONE of the locations I've visited (includes U-Haul centers) have these in stock. The gas stations and convenience stores certainly don't have them. I would recommend you change that on the website. Many folks plan on using them to move heavy items only to discover on pick-up that they are not available. Other than that, I'm a fan of the remote/digital pick-up. Keep on truckin'
Paul LI came in at 11am which was my scheduled appointment, got inside thinking they will help but everyone was confused and they told me that I should follow the instructions from the reservation, so I did. I downloaded the app and started processing... only to be told that there was no vehicle assigned to my reservation and was instructed by the app to go inside and ask for help. I was told that the person who is going to help is doing delivery and I should wait so I did!! All this took like an hour or so. The guy showed up and helped all good to this point, no complaints. But when I came back one hour after the scheduled appointment I had to wait again because I was told the same thing again the one in charge is doing delivery, he showed up( a different person this time) this one was straight up rude and told me I have no time and left. Someone else came and looked at everything fuel, truck condition... all good but he said he still have to to charge me extra because I was late!! I explained to him the situation but he didn't care and charged me anyway. I was charged 97 dollars and change for moving 5 boxes for 7 miles total!! Stay away from this place, they'll rip you off all they can !!

Margarita RI have always used U-Haul and am getting to move from Reno to Norfolk VA and have looked at U-haul pricing. Having said that, I am now receiving pricing from Budget and Penski due to the worst customer experience from the U-haul location of where I picked up the truck. According to LYFT, I arrived at the location at 9:19am. I asked where I check in, and was pointed to a man who was in the candy isle. I went over and told him I'm here to pick up my rental. He just looked at me and walked away. He then got on the phone and walked outside and made me wait for another 30 minutes, all the while talking on the phone. When he did come over to check me out, he continued on the phone talking in in Punjabi. I have never been treated so poorly. I would never recommend this location to anyone, they would be-friend me!!

The truck I rented key was bent and they tried to get me to drive a 40’ truck. When I declined I had to go to another location 4 miles away. Next location was a Gosh darn gas station, good thing I didn’t drive because who wants to leave a car there overnight! I tried to get the truck and they said my card was declined, after showing multiple ways that my payment was approved on my end, they first had to call U-Haul, then my CC company to prove their end was messed up they gave me the truck with dirty wet blankets.the guy took a photo of my CC before I left so now I have to change my CC numbers. multiple times I was told “I just work here”. Was told I would receive a $50 credit for the inconvenience at the first place. Never received. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE ever multiple locations failed. Zero effort

They did not look at contract, charged me for an extra day when contract showed I had an additional day. Hopefully they cleared up their mistake. The truck itself was great throughout the trip. Comfortable seating, good power, and ok mpg.

Carol GThe young man that rented the van to me did not tell me much of anything before or after my rental. He was too busy serving other convenience store customers. I estimated my mileage exactly, yet U-Haul charged me DOUBLE the fuel, so while the van is rated 6-8 MPG, I got 3.3 MPG! There are also a lot of hidden charges during the rental process that add up to at least TRIPLE the rental cost. For example, insurance is 50% of the rental cost! His communication skills were poor and opaque.

The gas tank was not filled, and there was no mention. Even though I made a gyaranteed reservation, the truck was not ready.

robert lI had called and made a reservation ahead of time. When I arrived, the person checking me out told me he couldn't rent it to me. It was hard to understand why but then he said its because it couldn't leave the state. We had already told the office that it would be a local trip inside the state for fewer than 200 miles. Ultimately we were able to rent it but the whole process took a much longer time than anticipated and the guy working there was not very helpful. I used one credit card to hold the reservation and asked if we would be able to change the card when we returned it. He said yes but when we went to return it, he gave us a hard time initially saying he couldn't change the card. After insisting, he was able to do it. It ended up being okay but a more complicated and frustrating process than I've had at other locations.
Kathryn ATruck was the worst vehicle I've ever driven. I'd never recommend the 26' Truck. Need to live up to the original reservations including time, place and equipment.
