No signage for the U-Haul and it was 30+ miles from my home, why would I recommend someone drive 30+ miles out of their way when there were and was Moving Van's in Altoona. I was particularly irritated that the Corporate U-haul in the Pittsburgh market moved me for pickup from Altoona to Northern Cambria, when I drove by the Altoona location, there were 2 - 15' vans there. Please provide Al's Tire more equipment so that they can improve their availability to customers. They are high on the results list for a Uhaul search in the area, but are not given enough equipment to service the amount of requests they get. Sherri is wonderful--patient, professional, and went above and beyond. She has to handle the Al's Tire business simultaneously, but never made me feel like I was inconveniencing her, even though she was obviously very busy. When Uhaul provides this location with equipment, it's a great place from which to rent because of Sherri's customer service.Dana K.

This does not concern pick up location, but overall experience online ordering permitted me to order a 20' truck at thisâ€”Northern Cambria.â€”location. However, when I received confirmation corporation call the day before, I was informed I must rent a 26' foot truck. Indeed, the larger truck was rented to me at same price as smaller, but as the cost of gasoline has increased and the larger truck used considerably more gas, I find I should in fact receive a larger discount than what was given. In addition, I ordered a dolly to rent and did not find out there was no dolly available to rent at that location. Therefore, on the morning I moved, I was required to call & locate a dolly at another dolly, as well as furniture blankets, at another locationâ€”Strollo's in Northern Cambria. This, again, I had to do on my own, on the morning of my move. It also caused a great deal of inconvenience to my movers, to make stops at multiple locations, which delayed my move. Therefore, I find, I am deserving of an additional refund for this inconvenience as well. Please be advisedâ€”a refund on this transaction, not a discount for a future move. Also be advised that the employees at Al's Tire & Strollo's could not have bred more proficient, professional, kind, and helpful. They should be commended for their customer service that exceeded expectations.Michelle T.
UHauls computer reservation system needs flushed down the nearest sewer. Even with regional help, it turned into a shitfest, taking nearly an hour to get me out the door. Your system decided my truck was ineligible to pull your trailer, after renting this exact type of trailer nearly a dozen times so far. It forced the clerk to redo the entire ticket, then call support when that didn't work. Yay...finally done and I have a trailer. Until... Since the printed 'ticket' or contract they gave me had no final destination. The original destination made during the reservation was no longer valid, and the ticket only said 'Martinsburg'. I called the number that was provided for the support tech to find which local shop I was supposed to take it back to. He mentioned Ridgeway in Bunker Hill, WV. Said they'd take it no problem. They didn't and the attitude was less than admirable. I will never disgrace myself at their establishment again. I drove the trailer back the 8mi to the house, picked up my phone to find another address had been given for the drop off. I don't carry my phone, nor attached to it 24/7 like most children today. Looks like I'm expected to carry it just in case someone decides to change their mind AFTER they've changed it 2 times previously. The folks at the other address were polite as usual, taking the trailer without issue. Unlike the jackasses at Ridgeway. "Not in our system, we don't want to be bothered, go home and call another regional support tech". Obviously I should have called enough times to get an answer that made them happy.James M.

No assistance was offered at the location to help hook the trailer up. There was also no vehicle inspection at the location. Additionally, the trailer we received had a broken suspension and we were unable to use it.Timothy B.
The staff was friendly and helpful at Al's. Thank goodness because overall Uhaul gets low marks on their ability to take and hold reservations. Al's Tire was great but if I ever have to rent a trailer again I'm looking elsewhere.GEORGE K.

The business was closed and I just used the drop box for the keys but I had to leave my only copy of the receipt with the keys dropped off and that was upsetting because I need the receipt for my mothers records. hollyHOLLY K.

I wanted to drop the van off close to the location where I was taking the belongings, however they gave me a location that was 15 miles out of my way and would have been extra gas mileage. This might not have been their fault. It might have been the location chosen when I rented the van over the phone at a centralized number . Make sure the location given to return equipment is the closest location for the customer.cindy M.

First off its not were i requested my pick up it was almost fifty miles away and i get there and they tack on an additional 50 dollars beacuase i obviously still want to drop it off where i wanted to pick it up and i ask the employee about it and they cant tell me anything at all this is pretty unbecoming of a company as vast and renouned as u-haul. Customer service person was not aware of the U-Haul policy on distance cost estimated and distance actually traveled and potential for refund of difference. I was told that the difference would be refunded to me and told differently at the drop off location. Suggestion: Make sure everyone is on the same page. Get rid of distance estimates and only charge for actual miles traveled.Mark M.

We were assigned a pickup location one hour away from our home and were given only one hour notice. I received a text at 10 am to pickup the truck up at 11 am which was located one hour distance away. Needless to say we arrived at noon just before the place closed. This is not acceptable.hira K.

I had to contact your regional office is Pittsburgh several times. Tea' was great. she was pleasant and helpful. Joe was terrible. I never recieved my 6:00 notification the day before pickup and Joe was very rude, and when I tried to explain my situation to him, he yelled, banged the phone against something and then hung up on me. This was horrible service and Joe should be immediately terminated.Robert D.
