I'm not entirely sure it's the location's fault. U-Haul needs to get their shit together in central FL. These trailers/vans/pickup trucks are meant for in-town use according to your customer service and there is never any equipment available in the area. The store was a victim of U-Haul failing to contact me when scheduled and getting things squared away before I showed up at the store.Justin R.

First time using uhaul always used Penske before I have been charged $94.00 twice and $71 for a rental from 10:00 - 4:30 have called the store when rental took place they were no help called the main number and they say they don't charge me but my bank would not have just pulled those charges out of thin air now I have to pay my bank $70.00 to dispute charges that should have never been made poor customer service pick up the truck had coke cup and box of Krispy Kream donuts in the cab and broke batteries and cord in box of truck took over an hour for the lady to even check the truck out to me I am a medical traveler who moves every 13 weeks for work and will not use this company again I will be letting everyone and my boss know what has happened I will be post pictures on Facebook if this is not b fixed todayLori H.
They were not ready for me, the truck had garbage in it; including broken glass, no contract was given to me, they didn't check the mileage or the gas level. I drove off with almost an empty tank.Lindsay R.

I believe your rates are very high! I filled it up after and they didn't reimburse me for the gas I over put in it!And the miles wasn't correct either I didn't drive the miles it saying! I feel like for the couple hours I had it that $167 is way to much I didn't leave state I went 30 and 30 back I just will definitely shop around next timeLynn P.

Truck reaped of cigarette smoke, took 2 hours to process the rental even though we booked a month earlier. Could not give us paperwork due to no printer. Got to the house and the back of the had a huge wood entertainment center that took 45 minutes to remove. Then another hour to tear apart for the garbage man to haul off. Had to pay two workers extra for the wait time on uhaul and to take care of the garbage left in the uhaul. Not happy at all. Have rented several times before from uhaul in Eustis, but get a phone call the night before saying they rented ours out and we would need to travel the extra 19 miles to pick up the uhaul from this place.Naomi J.
The people at this location are extremely rude and I would never go back or refer any one to this location ! We waited over an hour and 30 minutes to pick up our uhal because the lady running the store kept pushing us to the side because of other customers and on top of that she had all my paper work wrong and made us redo everything even after I had a. Not having trailers parked in a huge mud puddle! Being organized and attentive! I purposefully did the pre check so they wouldn't have to go over everything and yet still needed my #, truck tag etc! Took over 15 minutes and I was the only one there. We will not use this location again!Casey C.
First off, the person at the store had no clue how to look up my reservation. But before calling her boss, she asked," why did you come to pick it up at 8? we close our uhaul at 8". Then, the boss had me go through the whole reservation/order process again, so basically there was no point in trying to save time and reserve the dolly online. Almost 30 minutes later I was able to use the dolly, at that point it was pouring rain. Very unhappy and poor customer service at this location. It's not the first time service has sucked there for me, but it will be the last. On a scale from 1 to 10, 10 being best, definitely a 1.clint B.

The receiving clerk was also friendly and personable. Her Area Mgr, Rodney, should be fired! Rodney was rude, abrasive, and unhelpful. He needlessly, but clearly upset the clerk who was just trying to figure out where to put the truck. She asked me to speak to him, but I ended up hanging up on him because I would not tolerate his grossly unprofessional behavior. And if that wasn't enough: SOMEONE from UHaul, (I naturally assume it was Rodney - but I don't know that for certain) attempted to steal money from me by putting through an unauthorized charge on my credit card after our business was complete - even though I returned the truck with half a tank more gas than it had when I picked it up. I disputed the additional charge on my credit card and had to change the account number to keep Rodney (or anyone else) from trying to steal from me again. Rodney's got to go!!!tim W.

customers coming into the store were waited on before me, even after we initiated the uhaul transaction. to no fault of this location/staff, the uhaul systems were not functioning properly. i couldn't use a credit card, so i had to get cash at the atm, and i didn't get any paperwork and only a picture of the receipt taken on my phone.Eric T.
Check out the trucks to ensure that the engine is running properly. Had a terrible time with the shifting of the transmission real rough and engine raised really high in certain gears before it automatically shifted into the next gear. Was kind of afraid I would not make it back but it made it. It made to difference if I had haul/tow on or off. I had it on when it was full but still had the same noises and problems.JOLISA B.

The only problem it took too long to get the U Haul reserved, it was not the clerks fault she worked very hard getting this to happen. It seemed to be the U Haul company, they had changed the web site and she had to contact the company the first day we went in to reserve the truck. I also wished they would have had a the small truck but the mid size was ok, the Citgo station was close for us and I would tell others.Yvonna P.
First off my reservation was for 9:00 am nobody was there to help I had to call lady the and do all my info over the phone.Didn't get out of store until 10:30 am When it started getting dark went to turn on lights guess what NO LIGHTS had to find nearest motel and stay until morning light. Terrible experience to have, especially being that I was traveling with my sick wife who is oxygen dependent.I looked at the trailer it had wires that were hanging out on the driver side front that looked like someone just tried to rig and make them work. Worst experience that I ever had using U haul. Need to seriously look into the Altoona Discount Store Location because they don't represent U Haul very wellmartin V.

WENT ON LINE AND MADE RESERVATION. ALSO DID EXPRESS CHECK IN. TOOK 45 MINUTES TO CHECK IN BECAUSE I HAD TO DO EVERYTHING ALL OVER AGAIN WITH THE OWNER OVER THE PHONE. SEEMS THEY HAD POOR COMMUNICATION WITH U-HAUL RESERVATION SYSTEMFrank P.

The gentleman operating the store was very nice and helpful. The only negative in the experience was the smallness of the facility. They aren't able to easily handle equipment other than the smallest. Very accommodation staff though !!Alan H.

It is best to use a U-Haul Center vice a (non)convenience store such as this one. Initially, they would not check me in due to "not being in the computer" and once this was cleared up - after 45 minutes, they could not give me a receipt since the owner was at home (why should that matter?) and then after telling me it was done I received a notice from U-Haul 3 days later saying that I did not return the trailer. Poor, very poor.william T.
Terrible. No knowledge of U-HAUL products/procedures and the clerk of the convenience store did not want to check in the truck because he was the only one at the store and could not leave the counter (understandable, but this was on a week day morning - not at night). The clerk tried to be helpful and did the best he could, but this is clearly not the owner's primary (or secondary) business or interest. No receipt was available because the "owner" had to phoned and the official receipt would be "emailed at a later date". Turn in a $45,000 truck and have to rely on the clerks signature on a photocopy of my initial receipt, vice a formal receipt is not an acceptable to do this. Best to drive farther and go to a UHAUL center; or use a competitor.WILLIAM T.

It's inside a convenience store so the clerk is focused on selling snacks, beer, etc. Perhaps 2 people on duty during daytime may help. It's not easy for one person to ring up customers, check in a chip vendor, make a sandwich at the deli and then expect to serve a Uhaul customer.William W.

the unit was parked out back on a dirt road covered with hanging moss and so dirty you could not see out of windshield. I reserved other items to help with the move and they had none of them. HORRIBLE!!!! I will never ever rent from this location EVER again. First, it took FOREVER for the guy to get my paperwork together, I was in there for almost 40 min. The truck itself was just fine. When I returned the truck a different guy was there (Michael) by himself and I had to wait another 45 min. just to get the truck inspected. Then I get an emailed receipt and the mileage in was wrong, both myself and Michael wrote recorded 43433 but whomever inputted the mileage put in 43439. When I called to complain a rude woman who barely spoke English answered and after she took my number she just hung up on me. NEVER again!Cristina M.

Absolutely will not recommend this place to anyone. When I walked around the truck and opened the back of the truck ROACHES scattered everywhere. The back of the truck smelt like urine. The clerk was not helpful at all and had to call someone on the phone numerous times to help her with my rental. I never signed any paperwork before taking possession of the uHaul. This location was ok. It started at the u haul in Leesburg on 441 by the mall. I did my reservation online & then when I arrived they said they did not have any one way trucks. When asked about the drop off online it said it was optional so I did not enter anything. Needless to say this could have been a quick experience And it took 2 hours.DUANE P.
This was by far the worst experience I have ever had renting a U-Haul! The person did not even show up, he called from his house. He had his gas station attendant rent me the vehicle. Neither one of them did an inspection of the truck before renting it to me, even after I asked them to because there was extensive damage to the truck. The guy "Yogi" was absolutely rude. There was a trailer hooked to the truck and I had to unhook it myself. The transmission almost blew up while I was driving it. I called customer service several times and kept getting transferred to the road crew, who kept hanging up on me. I will never rent another truck again!SARAH D.

The store that I made my original reservation at had uhauls but refused to rent them to me because they said that they stopped becoming a rental store but uhaul had not taken them off the web site or removed the trailers yet. So I had to hurry up and find a new rental location. When I found a new location I had to talk to the ladies husband on the phone who was just in the other room who was hard to here and would not come out of the office and did not even come help hook up the uhaul or check it out with us. We waited for an hour to try to get the paperwork and then had to leave as we had U-haul moving help waiting at the house. U-haul did not call me to verify the location of the truck the day before.
