Please check the front suspension and steering. I had a wobble from the play and needed constant correction . Also my online quote showed $1.09/mile, but was charged $1.19/mile. That’s roughly $6 in overage. I will need to call in about it

The front suspension of the 15 feet truck has a steeeing play. When driven at 60-70mph, there is a noticeable sway in the steering and needs constant correction and this was not a windy day with temperatures at 85F. Also, I have pictures of the odometer reading with the fuel gauge in the pic before departure abd at return. I also filled up the gas. The agent was busy with another customer and asked me to give the keys and leave and I did so. I got charged for gas. Now, I need to make another trip to go and dispute.

LEON HThey switched the trailer I was picking up at the last minute as the one they had assigned was buried. He made the change on the paperwork with a pen and assured me it would be changed in the system. I called the next day before returning the trailer to the drop off location in another town. He stated he was sure he had made the change in the system. I did not trust that this was done so when I returned the equipment to the drop off site I took pictures of the trailer and the trailers next to it in case I needed to prove that I had returned the trailer I was given. 5 days later I received a call from UHaul corporate inquiring as to why I had not returned the trailer. Fortunately I was able to explain what had happened and send the pictures I had taken as proof of my return. Had I not done this they could have tried to charge me for the trailer.

BENJAMIN LWhen I rented the truck there was a little less than 1/4 tank of gas. When I returned the truck there was a little less than a 1/4 of gas. I was charged over $55 for gas. They said I returned the truck with 1/8 of a tank. Total rip-off and I won’t rent from U-Haul again.
EDWARD SThe employees were very rude to me on the phone when I called them about a damage charge on my account. They wouldn’t hear me out on it and told me to contact corporate. I have and they resolved it. I’ll never go back to this location again and will caution anyone not to do business with them.

JOSEF EIts kinds crazy how I rent a truck for 3 hours and it cost almost $200. I would've just used my truck instead. I just had to move 1 couch put and the new one in. The truck was in terrible condition and stunk. I should've never rented here. Also what the fuck is 2 rental charges? $19.99 x2. What a joke.

WILLIAM RThe clerk was completely rude. He charged me for gas when I returned the truck with the same gauge. I even showed him a picture when I picked up the truck that it showed the same level. He simply did not care. He is an absolute thief!!! No customer service. I wish that place would close down.

Kim FTruck extremely worked out, fixed with Jb weld I assume, I have picture of this it’s beyond ridiculous, truck also does start well, takes about 10 second every time to crank and start, staff is rude, wants you to sign everything before reading it over, when I ask him question about fees, he reluctantly gave me an answer that’s not even half way correct, had to ask multiple times to get him to go online and find out about answer, over heard a lady arguing with the staff about being overcharged hundreds of dollars, thank god the lady knew what she was talking about and held her grounds.

Robert BLocation is extremely crowded and hazardous. I received a vehicle trailer, that had a bad tire on it. It wasn't until I dropped off at the next location that someone told me the tire was bad. I was quoted One Price yet charged another. Their computer system is not working properly making the transaction take much longer than expected

Holli OI rented a 26-foot truck on 8/8/25 for 9-10 hours and drove a total of 28 miles. I bought three gallons of gas, which I thought was sufficient for 28 miles, but the owner charged me for additional 6 gallons of gasoline at $4.15/gallon, so I was charged for 9 gallons of gasoline for a 28-mile trip. I told the owner that I had added three gallons and he said "he'd take care of it". The back part of the truck also had not been swept and the truck itself drove very roughly.
STEVEN CCustomer service was great. Agent was very kind & attentive. Attempted to give the best customer service. *The actual location is extremely difficult to get into and out of the parking lot making it a very dangerous & unsafe location So I'm not sure it's the best location.
BRANDI MPickup was simple. The reservation system can use some work. Preferred locations should be actual locations when miles allowed are low and cost $1 extra per mile. Allowed miles were just enough to get to destination(drop off) I picked. I called and had a few more added for free which made it better.

They helped me out when UHaul dropped the ball (U-Haul asked me to drop the trailer in a different spot than I picked it up and the spot they told me to drop it off at would not accept the trailer and the customer service number told me I would have to drive to Lillington to drop the trailer after originally agreeing to drop it off in Apex at a different location that wasn’t Apex Moving & Supplies). Apex Moving & Supplies stepped up and gave me the only real customer service I had during my rental.
Matthew KKim and his helper do a GREAT JOB , but could probably use more land on which to store vehicles and trailers. As for maintenance upkeep queried in this rating, my guess is that they have little time to handle this busy rental location
RONALD TParking lot is nonexistent and very chaotic. No clear directions on what to do or where to park truck safely.

CHRISTOPHER JAgain, there were two attendants. The older one was on the phone talking with someone about a topic that didn't seem related to the U-Haul business. I only wanted to know how to leave off my trailer, but I had to wait a long time. Finally , he made a vague gesture that there was someone at the other end of the building that would help me. I came back to him when I couldn't find anyone, and he said he was outside, not in the building. I went outside and still couldn't find anyone. He told me to go further down the lot. I did so and finally found someone taking moving blankets out of a truck while a customer waited for the truck. I asked this person about leaving off the trailer, and he said I should back it down to where he was (about 200 yards). I said I was not good at backing up trailers, so he finally came to where my car was parked and took the trailer

David ETo Whom It May Concern, I am writing to dispute the charges associated with my recent U-Haul rental under agreement #78444054, dated 6/23/25, and to request a full refund in the amount of $438.16 due to a breakdown that made your equipment unsafe, unreliable, and unfit for the purpose it was rented. On 6/23/25, the U-Haul truck I rented experienced a sudden and total mechanical failure during an active move. This left us stranded, creating not only extreme inconvenience on a critical day but also a serious safety hazard to my family and others involved. We immediately contacted U-Haul roadside assistance and followed every directive given, the truck had to be towed away but the damage had been done: our moving day was thrown into chaos. To add further insult to this unacceptable situation, we were subsequently charged for not refueling the truck, something we were physically unable to do due to the truck being inoperable. We had every intention of returning the vehicle as required, and this charge is not only unjustified but completely inappropriate under the circumstances. To summarize: The vehicle broke down mid-move, creating a serious disruption to our schedule and compromising our safety. The breakdown was caused by mechanical failure of U-Haul’s equipment not due to misuse. We complied with U-Haul roadside procedures and acted in good faith throughout. We were unfairly charged for fuel despite being prevented from completing the trip due to the breakdown. The entire experience caused significant inconvenience, expense, and stress on what should have been a well-planned move. Accordingly, I am requesting: Immediate reversal of the fuel charge, and A full refund of the rental fee, in recognition of the serious failure in equipment and service on U-Haul’s part. I expect written confirmation of this refund within ten (10) business days of receipt of this letter. If this matter is not resolved promptly, I will have no choice but to escalate my complaint through formal consumer protection channels including the Better Business Bureau, my state Attorney General’s office, and social media platforms that inform others of this incident.

ROBERT Gnegative feedback is not for the site but for uhaul. i reserved several weeks in advanced. i went ahead and even called initial reserved site location: 524 Old Apex Rd Cary, NC 27511 to confirm if trailer would be available and they confirmed. the night before pickup location was moved after business hours. trailer was not available and was given the run around. called 9198750059 for support and was passed to multiple support members to get service. all stating that they need to connect me with local reservation call center. after having enough and asking for a manager in richmond, va call center. a trailer was finally able to be reserved but for the next day. uhaul find a containment for the immediate issue and a solution for a permanent fix. your system is flawed with nothing in place for product improvement. do better.
