I scheduled a pick-up/drop-off after hours. I requested a dozen furniture blankets, but they were no where to be found. I disputed the charge, there was no response. I was charged for the blankets anyways. Poor communication.
Robert GThe location was closed when I arrived--an hour before they were supposed to close. I was told I needed to download the Uhaul app, which would not register the contact information I entered, as required for pickup. I had to use the chat function. The app keyboard covered up the text box for the chat so I could not see what I was typing, so I was communicating with many typos. Additionally, the person on the phone could not verify whether my driver's license info would be encrypted on the app. Overall the whole process took 45 minutes longer than it should have.
Sowjanya K$19.95 advertising is misleading, when the actual rental fee is $89. I know that it is U-Haul and not specific to this location. This location has staff that is very cordial, pleasant and professional.
SHAWN SThe representatives at the Assistive Automotive Care location in Durham, NC did everything possible to make our experience renting a UHAUL Cargo van a positive one. One of them even went out to start the van so it could cool off on what was a very HOT summer day. What is important to know is that their primary business was selling used cars, but they treated their UHAUL franchise very seriously and made us as customers feel well cared for and important.

jawantha lWe had some unforeseen problems arise during move totally unrelated to the U-Haul but it caused delays and a bit of panic by extending the time it took to complete the move. Luckily we found Assistave Automotive Center to be extremely helpful, accommodating and assistive with our moving problems and U-Haul rental. I would definitely recommend them to others. Give them thumbs up

Renee was so helpful, they assisted us with a reschedule due to severe weather, and my favorite thing is that they took care of all the check out/check in with a real human being, so we didn't have to use the annoying online/app check out process. Jennifer mEnsure the location has available equipment needed (hitch for towing) trailers rather than being told have to supply it yourself. Even though renting from a car dealership that rents U haul vehicles, they supply the tow hitch rather than you having to request one from a different location than where you are renting from. Otherwise the experience was good.

Julianne PThere seems to be a common factor in the uhaul dealers in Durham where the vehicles are filthy, beat up and never full on fuel. Luckily I will not be using another one for at least a year. To be clear, I am not complaining about the person on site who helped me. She was very pleasant and personable. I will be sure to visit the locations prior next time. I believe that this dealer should definitely reach out to uhaul to correct the app settings and contact information. It was communicated that the problem was not new though. The hours for pickup ranged from midnight to 8:30AM!!! The location does not open until 9:00AM and the phone number associated with this location is no longer in service. I also had to call the “800” number to find the place because the location address is across the very complicated intersection near the dealer. In short, I do believe that the lack of professionalism and pride in work is lacking across the whole city. With that said, it would not be difficult to achieve a better level of service in an area where the bar has never been lower.

Todd EThe gentleman at this location was very rude!. I rented a van and was charged. 59 a mile my understanding was the price was. 29 per Mile. When arrived to pickup the van I was attending a virtual funeral. There was no other customers present at the time. The gentleman screamed at about being on my phone. Not only was I attending a funeral, but I was there to rent the van to clean out my brother's apartment who had also passed. He was very unpleasant and unprofessional. I would never recommend anyone to do business at this location!!!

Beatrice jMake the lockbox work properly. Provide the equipment I rented (a dolly) and not the equipment I didn't (furniture pads). Be very clear that you need to have an extra contact available, instead of hiding it at the bottom of the email. Every step of this process was so much harder than it needed to be!

ANTOINETTE GTire pressure should have been checked to avoid having to use Roadside Assistance to replace a tire. Roadside Assistance personnel were great and determined a screw in the tire. Nice communication from Roadside Assistance. We did not receive an email prior to check-in b/c email address was incorrect. Billing information was confusing.

brent sWhen making my reservation, I was not fully apprised of the charges. I did not know there would be a $5 Environmental Fee, and I was also not told there would be a charge of 16% tax. Everything at the location was great; speedy, friendly service!
david fI am extremely upset with the location of my pick-up. I specifically requested a location because it was the closest to my old apartment and the new apartment as well (only 2 miles from each other). The estimated price including milage was supposed to be around $40. The day before I was supposed to pick it up I got an email saying pick-up was at a different location and I didn't even have time to call to see what happened. This place was so far away that it doubled the amount that I had to pay, and I will not be using u-haul again.

MATTHEW SExceptional service and cleanliness! I would recommend this location in a heartbeat! Interesting enough I rented a unit from Tn two -three months ago and had no where near the pleasant experience as I had today! Please if possible CLONE this service center...actually expand it so others can have the same opportunity. If you have rented somewhere else like I did and come to this specific location you can judge for yourself. You guys ROCK!!!!
