I picked up my U-Haul on Friday 7/18/25. The fuel was not at half, way under. Early morning Saturday 7/19/2025 the check engine light came on. Road side was called. I spoke with roadside agents and mechanic (s). Road side assistance was provided but couldn’t do anything except describe and give a diagnosis code that resulted in Catalytic issues. And promising Lowe power when win the customer was pulling auto trance and required a better working U-Haul truck and equipment! This delayed our trip by 5 1/2 to 6 hours and resulted in having to go to a facility in McDonough (U-Haul) who had no idea we were picking a reply truck up as promised in phone call. All paper Les and contract to be transferred. Then had to wait for truck arrival and cleaning from crew. Next, I spent more time with customer complaints. While unpacking the current broken U-Haul and packing new replacement U-Haul and auto transfer hook up. This by far was stressful with kids and pet. This has been the work weekend and move ever. I promise not to refer anyone to uhaul. especially myself. I’m stil wanting on customer complained to call me and rectify this situation. Never had I experienced this with uhaul. When I receive the receipt, I was charged close to $100 when I was quoted 67. I was told that the added money was due to the van being returned four minutes after it was scheduled. We sat in the lobby, waiting to be checked in for almost 10 minutes behind other customers. After a long phone call, we were reimbursed. There should be SOME kind of grace for returns! Car companies give you up to an hour!

We arrived at our pickup time of 2:30 and there were no keys for the truck. Manager had the keys and he went to lunch. Had to wait an hour for him to return and get the keys for us. He was VERY rude.

When we went to drop the truck off one of the guy said just leave the truck in the lot so we parked and went to give him a key he didn’t even said thank you and said my system is down and we will email You later and after a week I got an email to return the truck and I was surprised and shocked. I told we returned as per schedule and he told I’ll check and let you know. Totally unforgettable experience this time.

That U-Haul truck needs to be serviced immediately breaks bad kept skipping making loud weird noise not really pulling barely made it and the battery went dead. I had to give it a jump. I will never use y’all rent a location again.

This was the 3rd location. We were headed to the initial location when we were informed we were moved to a 2nd location. Once arriving at the 2nd location, it was closed. Although the store hours indicated they would be open. We finally made it to the 3rd location and the 20' truck may have been one of the most used and oldest vehicle on the lot. Needless to say, we were put behind schedule and my client was not happy.

I have been told on three occasions THIS MONTH that renting the facility was cancelled, then I was told to reschedule on April 12th, then when we went to the office on the 14th was told there are no units and I should not have been told there WERE any units!!!! What is going on there????

Truck had left over things that the last customer did not want. Agent did not go out with me to check truck. Gas light came on as soon as I got a block away. I was told I can view my bill on the site, I was not told information. When I asked for a business card he said he didn’t have any. Customer service was great when I returned new agent.

Malcolm is great with communicating with customers. Any issues get resolved with a clear, concise path to a resolution. He is also friendly, professional, and shows that he cares about the people who use or have used the facility. Hours are inconvenient, but it didn't affect me as much as others since my schedule is flexible.

The interior of the trucks are typically not clean, but this one was truly gross. I had to drive home and clean the sticky off the steering wheel, drivers door, and console. Ewwwww. And the driver's window doesn't completely shut making a cold loud air gap.
