Hold a reservation and not make me travel double the distance and cost me double the price for something I booked ahead of time and was said to be available. No fault of the location but the truck was dirty. Both the cab and the box were dirty The windshield was filthy. The truck had an exhaust leak, and the fan for the passenger compartment only worked when it felt like it so the AC wasn't particularly effective. The truck was dirty in the cab, and had dirt and rocks in the bed of the truck which we had to clean out in order transport our furniture. The gas level was at 3/4, which we brought it back to at the same level, but there was a random $9 charge. They also added an additional $20 insurance fee which they did t tell us about. I'm not happy, there are more honest and customer friendly companies that I will choose next time.ken P.
The representative that I dealt with and renting and returning the truck did not seem to want to do his job at no point would he go out to the truck with me he went out came back in and gave me the key and told me to go out for the truck out. It was a little offputting so when I entered the truck I took pictures of the mileage and gas as well as the entire outside of the truck and the inside of the box truck I was unable to upload anything to the website I only got errors when I try to click on the link that was sent to me when I return the vehicle with more gas than I took it out with I asked him if he would come out to check the vehicle back in he told me no to just leave the keys and he will send my receipt later. When the receipt finally came I was overcharged he told me $10.88 for fuel when I suppose it I called and asked him to reverse the charge because I had brought the vehicle back with more gas and I had taken it out with he kept trying to tell me that I did not I wound up having to send the photos that I've taken before and after as well as the receipt from the gas that I had purchased throughout the entire conversation he was extremely rude and condescending only to find out that my documentation was correct and he eventually reversed the $10.88 overcharge.TaJuana B.

Worst experience so far! I was notified that the 26' truck I rented was not available due to the prior renter not returning the vehicle. I was downgraded to a 20' truck at a new location and I asked to have mobile pickup so I could come early in the morning. When I arrived, the truck was behind 3 other trucks and the person working there wasn't in for another 45 minutes. I had to wait for the employee to arrive, and then he gave us a different truck than we were scheduled to have. When I attempted to drop off at the location I originally selected, the app notified me that the drop off had been changed to another one 20 minutes away from where I was! On top of that, the employee who gave me the new truck didn't notify the system of the correct vehicle number, so when I dropped the key, the system thought I hadn't returned the vehicle. I spent another hour dealing with it over the phone to get it all resolved. Quite frankly, the communication between Uhaul and third parties is terrible, and the hours the employees keep are awful too.Michelle M.

The check in experience was pretty bad. When i arrived, I was told to login into the app which I did. However, the choice to check in did not pop up on my app and I was stuck waiting for someone to help me via the phone number. The girl who helped me was extremely nice and considerate having to come into the office on Saturday and help the few customers who were stranded like me. The move itself was ok but the gas was almost completely empty to begin with and would have been better if started with a full tank.Dale H.

Two items- labeling the key box and the gas gauge. 1. The key boxes are not numbered correctly. My key was located in box 1. However, my code did not work on the box labeled â€˜1'. There were 2 boxes to the left and I tried my code and it worked on the unlabeled box. 2. When checking out the truck the gas gauge and odometer came on quickly and accurately. Unfortunately, while I was gassing up, I constantly checked the gas gauge and it stopped moving around the 5/8 level. I continued to pump but it wouldn't move. I know it has a large gas tank (40-80gal). I stopped the pump and started the truck to watch the needle, it didn't move. I repeated this four more times. Then I replaced the gas cap and started the truck and the needle didn't move past the â€˜5/8' mark. I pumped more gas and then the pump stopped. It was now full of gas. I only needed to return with 3/4 full. This gas station was about a mile from my drop off. While I was driving the needle stayed on the 5/8 mark, I was so confused, I figured I would be charged for the gas shortage on return because of the needle. The needle didn't start to moving until I was about 3/4 a mile up the road and it slowly creeped up and finally went to the â€˜full' mark after I parked and let it run while it kept creeping to the â€˜Full' mark. I only used a quarter tank of gas but filled up a half tank to return. I was out of extra money. I would like a refund. I am aware of no refund on gas but this was not trying to be avoided at every chance on my part. I know how to return rentals at the correct level by checking the gauge, and I did several times check the gauge while pumping gas. The gauge wasn't working properly. This gas gauge should be fixed or future renters warned about it.Gaye J.

I had a horrible experience. The guy showed up 45 minutes late to open the location. When I got in the truck it was on Empty. It said 20 miles until Empty. Had to go directly to the gas station. When I went to return the truck no one was at the facility again. When I called the number on the door he said "I am out getting gas." I would not recommend this location to anyone. Horrible experience. The rental was moved to a city 30 miles away last minute (and I was charged extra for every mile), ordered a 20' truck and it hadn't been returned so forced down to a 15' truck which meant I had to take multiple moving trips when it should have only taken one (also more miles/gas and more time), then I absolutely filled the tank up to the exact spot it was when I picked it up (photo evidence) but they still charged me 4 gallons extra. I used mobile check out, but still had to go inside to complete the pick up. When I did, the location's power went out. He completed the 'equipent check' on his phone, but wouldn't come out to the truck with me to verify. When I got in the truck, the gas was on empty- so empty that there was a get gas message on the dash screen, thus I couldn't see the digital odometer. I immediately went back to the business door, but it was locked and no one was there. No one answered the phone. When I got gas and the digital display changed back to the regular odometer, the mileage was 20 miles off. I called and left a message but never got a return call. When I returned the vehicle, still no one was there and no answer on the phone. I ended up having to do a mobile drop off, meaning I just got charged for miles I didn't drive and had to replenish gas I didn't use because I couldn't ever get ahold of anyone to rectify the issue in real time. customer service in the beginning when picking up the truck was totally fine but when dropping it off the gentleman was not even there in the office and I left the key with some random person who ran a smog business next door. So I was not even able to do a final walk-through and then see my final charge and then I was overcharged telling me I did not put gas in the car when I did and I brought it right back to the same spot on the gas gauge and I even took a picture of it left a lot when picking up the truck and then the owner of this particular U-Haul sent me a picture of the gas gauge when I returned it and then I sent him my picture and it's the same and I still haven't been refunded the $25 that they decided to blindly charge me and not even call me to let me know but they were going to do this they just did it poor customer serviceAndy A.
