Worst experience with U-Haul ever. First time I tried renting and I think it might be the last time due to the experience. My phone number is 213-245-8866 so you can look up my account and see the phone calls I had to make to the U-Haul customer service. I had a reservation for 11AM on Saturday may 31. I did not receive the truck until 1PM. I lost 2 hours of the trucks rental and I had the rental for 11-6PM. When I returned it the guy who received my truck had an attitude he’s lucky I didn’t punch on the guy. Giving me attitude and then tries to justify it with I gave him attitude. Yea because I’m pissed off but as customer service representative you should understand why I am pissed off. They told me I was going to be compensated for the inconvenience but haven’t received any discounts yet.

RENE SWho I assume was the office manager gave me the wrong keys and didn't even point to which vehicle I would be in, so when I went to the truck I assumed was mine it wouldn't turn on. So I tried the next 15' truck as that was what I rented and it again didn't start. I tried to go back to the office, less than 3 minutes after I had exited it and the door was locked and no one was in site. Finally I found an employee and said the key didn't work and he went to a van and turned it on. After a minute, I realized I hadn't rented a van. So I went back to the office, this time unlocked, and told the office manager he had given me the wrong key. He proceeded to speak down to me, probably because I'm a young woman and was by myself, and tell me I was wrong even though my confirmation clearly stated I had rented a 15' truck and even showed a photo. While continuing to speak to me in a condescending tone, he said he would pull up my confirmation which then showed I was correct. He didn't apologize, just said "oh yeah I guess I those were wrong," and I left. He was unhelpful and rude and I will not be using them in the future.

DALE SThe customer service at this location was truly horrible. The Assistant Manager was the person who helped me and he was extremely rude. He ignored reviewing the details of my reservation; instead asking me all these questions. The moving blankets & dolly I ordered were not available. No apology or assistance in obtaining a refund for those items. Truck was dirty and had debris all over the cabin floor. Also had to wait almost 30 mins to be helped.

Randall OBA Storage is TERRIBLE!! I was asked to help U-HAUL out by dropping my cargo van rental to another location. Never done that before. I get to the location before 1pm on Sun, March 10th and the attendant says "Why are you dropping this vehicle off here...we just don't accept vehicle like this". I showed him the text from U-Haul with their address to drop of the van off. He tells me to take it back to the original location (4167 Wester Ave). I begin to drive out and he runs to van and says "Yes its supposed to be here and it wasn't on my schedule, just leave the van". So I did. They charged me for a 2nd day ($69.80) and the Western location charged me for the same rental ($71.31). This rental has been a COMPLETE HEADACHE. I don't think I'll be doing you any FAVORS anymore... I got overcharged and drama at the storage facility. BA Storage his to get there business in order. Their INCOMPETENCE is Breathtaking!!

Brian HOne of your employees battered me after cornering me and shouting obscenities at me, inches from my face (why he was anywhere near a woman half his size is beyond me, nevermind laying hands on one). He postured repeatedly as though he was going to strike me again, kept a flashlight directly in my eyes for several minutes, taunted me, and locked me in the office. I had to call the cops/paramedics. I have photo and video records of all of this. Clearly, this neighborhood U-Haul/BA Self Storage is running a scam and those employed there are violent and seemingly on drugs, given their volatile behavior and pupil size. They refused me paperwork where I could indicate the state of the truck and the fact that they were unable to furnish me with a dolly at the time of pickup, so I resorted to taking multiple geotagged and timestamped photos of the truck at the time of pickup. Two employees accused me of vandalizing the side of the truck with spray paint (though I have photos indicating that this was the state it was rented to me in and both admitted to the cops and later that the vandalism was pre-existing, and in fact, they’re actually had been more before they took paint thinner to some of it). They tried to refuse the truck back and attempted to send me to another location for drop off, despite the police urging them to and the fact that customer service stated that the scheduling office was no longer open and they were therefore unable to change the location drop off at that time. Customer service as well as the police suggested I continue to record the process as I had to resort to doing contactless drop off (although one of your employees attempted to physically intervene as I deposited the keys into the drop box — this is recorded and police witnessed it as well). In speaking with customer service for the umpteenth time that day, they confirmed that the employees at this neighborhood U-Haul/BA Self Storage have not yet marked the drop off as having been received, and have charged me exorbitant and arbitrary amounts of money, which do not reflect the original agreement. This was an unimaginably, horrific and deeply traumatizing experience. I have an attorney on retainer and intentions of pressing charges if we cannot resolve this internally.

Jacob RTerrible parking situation, could not park on site and it’s a bad neighborhood with bars on every window there. Overcharged for fuel. Drove a total of like 14 miles, not in traffic, and got billed for 4 gallons of fuel. The male working in the office could clearly not be bothered to give af. I’m fairly certain I didn’t even choose the $26 dollar liability protection but still got charged for it. I rented a bigger van from Glendale U-Haul and drove to a vendor, then Hollywood and back, two different days, with the total charge being $40 one time and $60 the other. How in the f do I go to this place, which is in Hollywood, to drive to the store and back (much shorter trip) in Hollywood, and the total is $95…. Take my advice and go to a proper U-haul location this place sucks.

Thankfully, while I reserved a pick up at 6pm, i showed up 1/2 earlier and good thing because at 6 they would have been closed. Otherwise an excellent experience

Ian DThe workers are not clear when exposing the gas rebate process when checking out the vehicles. Also, the gas gauge was not accurate to what they originally had down when I picked up the truck. Plus, the return gauge was not entered accurately either. I will definitely be taking pictures next o decide to use Uhaul. It’s no wonder this location has a 1 star rating.

Trevor MI originally booked a 9' van at another location, then customer service reached out and told me they had changed my reservation to this location bc the previous one was out of vans. Then when I arrived, this new location was also out of vans and only had a very old, barely functioning box truck. No one notified me of this change but I had no other options. The truck was difficult to drive and made very worrying sounds (multiple check-engine lights turned on and off throughout trip) but it got the job done. I was also upset that despite turning down the insurance when I booked my reservation, when I picked up the truck it was automatically added again without my knowledge. I had no idea until I was given the receipt AFTER my rental ended. The location and employees were perfectly fine, but my experience with U-haul communication was disappointing.
Kathryn WI was hesitant to rent a truck from anywhere after I had a very bad experience with that fraudulent scam company called Avis/budget. But I needed a truck for moving so I took the plunge, I have to say you’re a good company at the very least you’re honest.

Scott SThere was a guy, who called himself a manager, who doesn't know anything, who brush me off to uhaul customer service and refused to help with billing because he claims this site is a 3rd party vendor. A lady came in and was able to fix the billing error eventually. The truck was filthy, I had to wipe with sanitizer wipe and several trash was in the pickets and floor of the vehicle, which I had to clean. I used the app, which i'll never use due to a random error and inconvenience. I would not rent from this location. I will leave this review on other sites as well. Horrible experience.

Upon arriving, the representative had such a nasty attitude even after he came in late. It was such an unpleasant experience and delayed the plans we had significantly.
