The location and people at location are very nice. the MOBILE CHECK IN AND OUT is a total DISASTER. will never use that feature again... so slow.... so many more steps (yet another person and their phone number you need?!?!?) much quicker to just go in and have the person check you in and out. Not sure how this was listed as my drop off location. I've never been to Illinois or the US for that matter. I rented a trailer for 2 days to move my son into his first apartment and returned the equipment the night of the 2nd day to the same location where I picked it up. I just received an invoice stating that I kept the rental 85 days past my agreement and am now being charged hundreds of dollars for something I returned before I actually was required to. I've rented numerous trailers from uhaul however I will reconsider my choice in the future.BILLY JOSEPH D.

This is the second time in a little over a month that I've rented a Uhaul and both times, I didn't get what I asked for. I didn't ask for Safemove and was charged anyway. I had to make two trips which caused more miles used instead of being able to get what I requested, or given another location. I am very disappointed with these excessive charges.Marnetta B.

Inspect & clean the vehicle. Vehicle floor was covered with crushed stone. The windshield was really dirty on the inside. A Tampax carton was very visibly stuffed between wood tie-down rails. At rental, the dashboard warned "Service Tire Monitor System" because a replacement wheel did not have a working Tire Pressure Monitoring System sensor. Incurred two hour travel delay in learning why, and reason for U-Haul policy regarding flat spare tire, from Roadside Assistance company. U-Haul chat rep was clueless and extremely slow in responding.Kevin B.

The truck broke down because there was no oil or coolant in truck. Truck repair employee confirmed there was no leakage, so truck was rented to me without basic maintenance. After truck repair replaced oil and coolant, I was able to finish 400+ miles of trip but not without being stranded along the highway for 3 hourscurt B.

I have spent more time getting the paperwork and billing correct than using the uhaul. First computer problems during pick up. Double billed, called location and told to call uhaul. Called uhaul and on hold for 30 minutes to get transferred for another 30 minutesJim L.

It was very cold outside and I was only able to check in once I was at the location. I could send my driver license picture before arrival at the very least. It took about 5-10 min to check in, which isn't that bad if weather is above 30*F lol but outside for 5 min in anything below that is like a lifetime lolAMETHYST D.
Nice workers both arriving and departing: had quite a large inventory to choose from. No hidden fees or charges. I guessed 17 miles in town, went about 22, overfilled gas for free by me not paying attention. Estimate was just a few dollars more than ended up paying. Will use againScott R.

When I went to order the truck, I asked for one of the shorter versions The office manager asked what we wanted to move and then suggested that the longer one would work better. With the snow and slush, it was just EXACTLY what we needed as the item we moved was about six inches too long to fit the smaller truck. The job was much easier with her suggestion.Howard A.

The truck I rented had a dashboard light & sound going off most of the rental. I called the rental place & they said it wasn't an emergency, but VERY annoying. Also, the drivers side door had to be slammed to shut properly.Spencer D.
I wasted an 1/2hr trying to figure out what vehicle I was suppose to take. Finally someone answered. Then they gave me the wrong cargo van so I could not return properly because the miles didn't match. I only used until 4 in the area and they claim I went 28 miles when I stayed in the area. I didn't have the proper information to compare what they claimed the miles were when I started. It's supposed to be $19.95 a day and $25 for coverage. Why did I pay so much more??!! What a nightmare !!! I kept calm but they wasted much of time picking up and dropping off. I will never rent from her again nor suggest.Yvette C.

I had issues with the call from the uhaul rep. Was told that the cargo van was not available at the location I initially chose (Darien Collision Center), even though I spoke with the manager at Darien Collision Center & was told by him that they did in fact have a van available. The first rep that called said she had to call facility to verify & would call me back. Neither event took place. Ken at DCC never received a call from uhaul rep. Uhaul rep did not call me back. I called again Thur 9/24, waited well over 30 min & finally got a rep who unfortunately didn't help much (though professional & friendly), put me on hold for another rep, waited even longer, and got disconnected and no rep called me back to remedy the situation. I had to call B&E Auto Repair myself to find out what was going on. They were friendly & knowledgeable - way more on top of things than the people at the Uhaul customer service number. The whole process of having to do it all online stinks & I'll likely never use this again!Arturo C.
