Get a new franchisee /location/and employees. Facility is a dump and aside from a bunch of derelict vehicles, I only saw one other uhaul product where he told me to park behind a tire center. There were no spaces and I went back in to see where I could leave it and sole employee pointed to neighboring grass strip so I left it there after dragging it myself across rough ground because he said, per contract, it was on me to unhook, move and park it. When I did what he said I asked for return receipt and confirmation of clean and no damages, he said No he didn't have time or someone to man office and I would get email receipt at some future point (I have not received this). Due to this, I took pics of all trailer sides and interior and reached out to your organization. Lastly I note that when I reserved vehicle, it was one way to your Easton MD location; Easton would not accept and sent me to alternative, disastrous location. A full afternoon was wasted for what should have been a 15 minute return. Very unfortunate as I have always had good experiences with Uhaul in the past.
BREESE DThere was only 3/8 of a tank of gas when we got the truck, which we weren’t sure would be enough, so we put more gas in, without knowing, of course, how much we would use. Ended up not using as much as we put in, so we lost money on that. It would have been more helpful if the gas tank was already full and we just refilled it back to full after using the truck.
Lisa PAs I arrived to drop the trailer off, I was told they couldn't take it. Then they said a trailer was just leaving so they could take it. Then a problem accepting the incorrect dolly that was put in the trailer by the location that rented the trailer to me. Seemed like my doing business with U-haul was just a big interruption to their day.
jeffrey sIt is a small U-Haul operation at a car repair facility/gas station. Everyone was busy, but friendly. The truck was a nice surprise; newer, clean, well maintained. I will rent here again if I need a truck rental.

Alexander MI tried 5-6 times to open the lock box to get the key out since it was after hours in the pouring down rain. The employee of the gas station saw that I was struggling and came out to help. It took her about 3 times but finally was able to open it up. They need better locks and also instructions on how to open up the box. The employee at the U-Haul office was very friendly and helpful on the phone before picking up the truck and the next day.

The lady at the front desk double booked our uhaul then lied to me and told me they never got my reservation and wouldnt even bother to hear or see my reservation confirmation.She was extremely rude and unhelpful.

Donald rLet me start from the beginning so you understand my frustration. Your notes reflect I was telling at someone on the phone. I was not yelling - I was very upset by a very poor quality of service. The dispatch for MD eastern shore needs serious customer service training. When I initially started the quote process, I had circled back to U-haul and clicked on an offer that said maybe a better price could be had. A woman called back based. She offered the exact quote I'd already been given. When I pointed that out, she begrudgingly offered 5% and asked for my card to book it. I had a question regarding logistics due to where I moved, and she got irritated raising her voice repeating, 'when, When, WHEN you pick up the rental -' at which point I hung up. I surely wasn't going to book with her. I called back and spoke to a nice young lady who said if I explained when I picked up about the discount she thought it could be applied then and did not think it would be a problem. She said she noted my quote. She also said someone would be available to help us when I picked up the truck as I was concerned about how to manage the equipment in route as I could not get up the dirt road at my new home with the trailer on as I'd not be able to back down and we were arriving over the weekend when the drop off facility would be closed. When I picked up the rental, the guy gave me a key and said he wasn't responsible for U-haul or discounts. He was put out when I asked if he could explain the equipment. I just left him a one star review on google. My husband couldn't believe what a jerk he was. We sat in his swampy mosquito filled lot behind his gas station working with u-haul over the phone. Luckily there was a nice man named Bob at U-haul customer service who actually helped us. We had to leave the trailer because without shims, my car could not be secured. The dispatch was also rude as we were trying to fix the issue. When I dropped off the truck, the guy was very kind as well. But I'll never use u-haul again.

William DYou are asking the wrong questions. Trailer was reserved 10 days in advance. The online system seems to show random local places to pick up equipment. Day before pickup, I received an email informing me the equipment actually needed to be picked up 80 miles /1.5 hours one way away from where I “reserved” it! This is false advertising or “bait and switch”. Recorded message on the call in number says changes can be made through web. This is not true. There is no way to make any changes other than cancelling the order and starting over without calling and sitting in the phone queue.

Lindsey WThe keyless pickup is a terrible system. UHaul Corporation should make sure they open with a representative on the mornings of early rentals at every location. Have certain early hours available. Most are open at 7 a.m.
Mary SI did not realize that I would need to take pictures of the mileage and gas tank as part of the after hours turn in procedure. I locked the vehicle and put the key in the lock box then went to the link to do the check-in procedure. When I read the requirement for the mileage, it was too late as the vehicle was locked and the key in the drop box. Perhaps making this part of the after hours turn-in more visible would be good. This was my first time turning in a rental after hours. I will know better next time.

Timothy MThe gentlemen that worked at this uhaul are exceptionally welcoming, kind, excellent customer service, they were polite, sufficient, detail orientated, overall I have had a lovely uhaul customer service experience ...the down side is that there are expeptionally large dirty 20 meter pot holes and it is very muddy..the whole parking lot needs to be resurfaced and they office is situated right in the middle of a gas station and a garage...if the office block was newer and situated further back and the uhaul truck parked in front not only does it look more pleasant and welcoming but by hiding the truck at the back ...where it is cluttered and extensive large pot holes ..I just think a little investmemt into this uhaul facility would be nice for 2020 ...they deserve it.

Brian WAdvertising can be misleading. You claim low fees, until we sign the contract. Weekend rates, in town only, other fees. Gets costly.

Carol CFix the ignition problem! We had to play with the key very time to get the truck started. The staff on day of pick up was not professional and seemed upset to be working on a Saturday. The staff on return wasn't able to process payment without assistance. This may have been due to system error, however, it took over 10 mins to check out.

Edward CCheck in and check out process was a nightmare!!! Took at least 30 min at both check in and check out to get all stuff downloaded etc even though I had already done this in advance at home. Will be very reluctant to use uhaul again. Even the reservation process was a nightmare although I tried to reserve the truck almost 2 weeks in advance. Douglas BThe truck was in very good condition the customer service was good but I was in a crisis I own a 16 foot box truck myself and it had broken down on me and I drive 360 miles per day with it for work and I was wondering if I could get a better deal on the mileage than what I get because I would use the U-Haul more often for when I have to take my vehicle in for service but I can’t really cannot afford to pay those rates for what I’m using it for So is there anyway that I can get a waiver or a discount for the mileage rate that I was charged I paid $400 for renting a truck for one day that was very expensive really cannot afford that in the future
