When the customer brings the truck back with more gas than when they picked it up because the fuel capacity of the truck specified on the rental agreement is incorrect given the price of gas the customer should be compensated for the $35 difference. The drop-off location was changed to bells corners instead of Orleans (i got an email stating this had been discussed, it hadn't) so we had to get a ride to Orleans to pick up our vehicle after we dropped off the truck. The bells corners location lot was too small to park the truck properly and the lock box didn't look like the picture in the after hours instructions so was hard to findKEVINO D.
Pick up process was great, yet unfortunately I was extremely disappointed with the overall experience. Purposely booked for a location of my choice and desired time to then Have a rep call and change my location pick up. I called the new said location 2 days prior to pick up to ensure proper pick up time and access to said truck. Was told online would allow early pick up access. Arrived at new pick up location to have to wait 2 hrs as this location as it was not open for my original desire time, while I had movers being paid waiting for a truck. Called customer service the morning of and the phone rep - did not care one single bit about my problem. Felt like I the customer was inconveniencing him and was a bother - unacceptable, yet felt I was at uhauls mercy as I needed a truck at that time. I wasted a lot of time and resources waiting for uhaul to open , as they couldn't accommodate my original request and did not ensure my original was verified and being able to be honored.CORYD M.
Van was parked three or four blocks ago in a restaurant parking lot out of sight location. There was no â€œwalkâ€ around the van, as it was blocks away and as I got there he drove away. The contract gas fuel reading was wrong by more than a quarter of a tank. There dents on van with and without â€œXâ€ stickers, I guess to indicate past damage, although I took the insurance and was applicable to my situation, it was not noted or a sticker placed on dents when I had to drive the van the location to correct gas reading and mention unmarked dents.ROBERTW A.

The check-in process took longer than expected with technical set-backs for uploading a copy of the driver's license. Not sure though if that was an issue with Uhaul's check-in website, etc. There was also damage on one of the wheel wells of the trailer. I tried to call Uhaul about it, since the online walk around timed out and wouldn't let me complete it. Also couldn't go directly back to the distributor as the trailer was parked in an empty lot down the road.Joseph T.

The truck was not in the location I was expecting it to be. If it were not for a mechanic who just happened to be in there at the time we would have had to wait until the business opened. When we reached out to UHaul customer service, they told us the truck was across the street, it required a few more details than that.Bill B.
Went to the after hours at this location. Couldn't get through to a single representative on the customer phone line 1-800 numbers listed on your sites. Needed to change our drop off location that our pick up lady fucked up and we were on hold for 30+ minutes waiting to speak to an agent. Tried 3 different numbers. Decided to try the chat feature and finally got an agent who redirected our drop off location to one nearby. Extremely dissatisfied with the customer service of uhaul and the lack of professionalism. This location however was fine once we arrived for after hour drop off. Right parking spaces and little visibility of signs that said uhaul but overall did the trick.DEVINSCOTT B.

I had to wait over an hour to get my vehicle, and was put on hold for the duration of the time. Luckily the owner of the car garage called me and I got my vehicle an hour afterJITESH K.
The location and rep Dev did everything to help me. U-Haul the company however is a complete mess and I will look for alternative measures going forward. I received my confirmation 2 days before and the rep was not helpful in telling me it's my fault the truck I booked a month before is not available. The time I booked was incorrect and when I confirmed with her the time and date she promptly hung up the phone with the wrong pick-up time. I then go to the location to be told it had been moved once again. I then called a rep whom said she would have a pickup the same day at 230 pm for the 30 but booked me on for the 31 one day after I was to be out of my curry place. It seems that everyone but the owner of the location I went to had no regard for the person on the phone. I would only recommend the individual however the booking process seems to be in favour of U-Haul not the customers whom follow the rules on returning trucks on time and to the correct locationANDREWJOHN M.

On the 6 x 12 trailers a hand crank lift at the tongue would be helpful I hurt my back trying to lift trailer on to towing ball and needed a person from the garage to help lift When I returned the trailer I brought a car jack to make things easierGILLES S.
Owner didn't wear a mask, was too lazy to type in my driver's license (wanted me to photograph and text/email it somewhere and was anger that I didn't have a smartphone), had to walk through a muddy field to get to the van that was filthy and had garbage in it, and then discovered on the highway when a car splashed me that the van had no windshield wiper fluid. The mobile pick-up did not seem to work with iOS even with all of my location services available. Thankfully, I had a friend helping me move that day who had an android phone and it worked then. The reason I would not recommend this location is because the owner is not enforcing Ottawa's mask regulations for his employees. The mechanics working in the garage allow the customers to be in the garage with them as I witnessed yesterday. Nobody, including the customer, was wearing a mask and they were all standing close together under her car. I mentioned this to the owner who told me he had made his employees sign a form that they would follow the regulations after being trained but he admitted he wasn't strict enough with them. In addition, the small piece of plexiglass between the owner and I at the counter was not enough to protect me from him when he was on the phone when I arrived to pick up the truck without his face shield on and when he walked from where he said he was eating lunch adjacent to the garage area, through the garage and into the reception area where he then put his face shield on.Brenda C.

Truck was not at the location--had to go across st. to get it. It had broken glass and some type of liquid in it (trusted the guy when he said it was clean). Had to wait for owner to arrive at the location. then he helped other customers first even tho' we had reservation. Uhaul is not priority here. Avoid this place if you can.Carolyn S.

I have no issues with the U-haul location, I just would like to point out that the method of after hours drop off; texting to the link provided at this location is tricky (drop off is across the street in an extra lot). I didn't realize that questionnaire was going to ask for photos of the fuel gauge and odometer to be taken while using the link. I did take photos, but the link/service doesn't allow already taken photos; I only discovered this after I dropped off the key and couldn't get back into the vehicle I was using.CHARLOTTE M.

Very disappointed in your staff and service. First time we went into your location there were no trucks available yet they had about 15 sitting In the lot right beside. My grandfather(74) was told to GO HOME and order online! The ordering process online as long and very difficult. He went on the day scheduled to pick up our uhaul to find he had to drive across town to pick it up because they didn't have any. Even though we paid to reserve it. Once he got to that location the sales representative had no clue how to look up our reservation and made my grandfather fill out a whole new report. We never got all the supplies we had originally reserved. The truck they first tried to give him was a total wreck and ready to fall apart. Luckily my grandfather knew a thing or two about trucks and reasonable customer service! He went back into the building and got assigned a better truck however this truck was extremely dirty and had only a quarter of a tank left! He was told he had to go and fill it himself. And still return the truck with a full tank. No reimbursement for the previous gas he had to put in when it should have already been full! I am beyond disgusted by the service that was provided for my grandfather.Robert M.

Worst experience ever !! Booked a 20 feet truck 2 months befor my move. I selected the location in carp which has a counter service to avoid having problems with picking up the keys as I had some negativ feedback on that process. The nightmare started at 8 am when I received a call from that office informing me that finally there is no 20 feet truck and I have to choose between a 15 and 26 !!! So I told them that I will take the 26...at 9h30 I arrived to the location to pick up then another surprise, the 26 truck was not starting and obviously the agent knew that.. after 45 min I have been sent to another location but there, collecting the keys is done online and it was again an awfull experience ...lost more than one hour in making calls to try to open the lock to collect the keys ..since it did not work, they send me to a third location which had a counter service..and there again another surprise they did not have furniture pads !! Lost 3.5 hours, had to sentback the helpers scheduled to help me for the move ... overall a very bad experience and your staff acting like it is a normal situation... !!!!Rachid M.
