My last uhaul experience was good, but this experience was horrible. I showed up on time to pick up my cargo van at the Big Bee Cannon Hamilton and I was told my van was not there. After talking to customer service for 30 minutes I was told there was an administrative error checking the van in. The furniture dolly I booked was not there. The van interior was covered in dirt and mud. I had to pay $50 for a terrible experience, lost time, and a muddy van. I am extremely dissatisfied and will look for other options the next time I need a moving van.

At pickup gas tank level was less than stated in rental contract - had to get that corrected. Truck was dirty when I picked it up. After returning a $25 cleaning fee was added to my account. It was only returned after I filed a claim.

The guy I met when I went to rent the truck told me, it’s 0.75 per km but I was charged 0.99 per km on returning the truck 😡

When i entered the truck a warning light came on stating that front driver side tire was "low & add air". I went back into the store and the clerk told me that it was not an issue and not to worry about it. Well let me tell you that it was NOT OK. I was heading home and the front driver side tire blew up. I had to pull over to the shoulder of the road where I sat for 90 minutes waiting for a technician to show up. When I finally got back to the store their response was "DEAL WITH U-HAUL". This store put my life in danger by allowing me to drive this truck, I am lucky that I was not on a major hi-way. The store offered no sympathy. I was angry, shaken up and cold as the truck was near empty and i did not want to run out of gas. The entire situation could have been avoided if they had only fixed the tire before renting it out. Very disappointed in the service. The only person who helped was Noah at customer service who I spoke to when I got home. And within minutes of returning the truck I was sent an invoice. Just another slap in the face.

Reserved my vehicle through the U-Haul website along with a furniture dolly on Dec. 28th and was directed to come to this convenience store to pickup my 15ft truck. A couple hours later, got an email from U-Haul advising to contact customer service regarding changes to my reservation. When I contacted them, was advised by rep that there’s no furniture dolly’s anywhere in Hamilton at this time and that I would have better luck if I were to go to the actual U-Haul location at 2275 Barton St. E(Hamilton) in person and ask for a dolly there as they have all types. Rep stated he would give me additional mileage to compensate me as this was a one-way trip. Picked up my truck on Dec. 29th and drove 11km to U-Haul store at other end of hamilton. When I arrived, spoke to rep and told them I was told to come to this location to pickup my furniture dolly I rented as part of my contract. Rep explained to me that there’s no future dolly’s anywhere in Hamilton and that reservation agents should have called to confirm dolly at that location before sending me over or atleast removed the furniture dolly charge off my reservation. I saw two furniture dolly’s sitting in the open near the entrance and asked how come there’s two dolly’s there and I’m being told there’s none available, was told they’re there for purchase only. Rep advise me that he can give me the other U-Haul address up on the mountain and I could try there to see if there’s any returns there and I told him that its not my job to do corporates job to ensure the customer gets the service they’re paying for. As I was on a time limit, I told store rep I would just buy the damn dolly outright but I want to be compensated for the major inconvenience by having the full cost of the dolly($35) given as a credit/refund to my final bill and extra mileage. Rep called someone from the “one-way department” and advised of the situation. As the rep was on the phone, I walked away from the counter in frustration and upon returning, was advised by the rep that I was approved to received the extra mileage and a refund upon returning my truck at the final destination in Brampton. I asked if there’s any notes on my account indicating this verbal agreement and was told there is. Left the store with receipt of purchase for furniture dolly.

It's difficult with just one person working at the shop. Also, I had wanted the rental earlier and it took quite some time to finish the initial paperwork/ sign in.

In a pinch yes, I wouldn’t recommend this location it did not see overly trustworthy and the building just felt dirty or unclean. Gritty. It could look and be a lot more professional

I think U-Haul is very over price for a 40 min trip they charge $117. That is simply ridiculous. Plus they charge me for additional fuel when I put back more fuel that what I got. I don’t get how you can charge $19 and all of a sudden the bill is $117. Personally don’t think I would be using U-Haul again in the future nor would I recommend them. The most I had expected to pay round trip was $50-60.

The truck wasn’t ready, they didn’t have all the dolly’s I wanted and offered me to go to the opposite end of town with my U-Haul as I pay per km so no thankyou I didn’t leave until 12:45 I was there 11:45 took them an hour to get me ready like wtf why wasn’t everything on the damm truck kept having to call the boss that wasn’t even there and then kept asking me if I needed insurance and everything else because he had to talk to the boss it was ridiculous all the info was done in advance using the U-Haul app all he should of done was give me the keys and have the truck ready. I recommend that location not do U-Haul if only the boss can handle it as it’s supposed to be simple. Not a good way to start a frustrating move as it was.

The vehicle was fine but the air didn’t work and the were some napkins that flew up from the dash when I opened the windows. I pointed this out when I returned the truck, but other than that everything else was fine. Great service and communication with me. Thank you.

Didn’t have the furniture dolly I specifically ordered. The truck had garbage from previous occupants. Check in was slow and when I returned the truck the store didn’t bother reporting that in so I had to get a call from you the next day.
