Help at the Big Pine location was efficient and friendly. BUT, the truck blew a spark plug about 80 miles into our trip. We spent five hours at the Ridgecrest UHaul location trying to get a mechanic (who finally showed up after three hours from Barstow). He was able to fix it but only after getting an OK from his boss who at first wanted him to bring it in and give us another truck (which we would have had to unload and load ourselves). We lost 300 miles that day and missed two of our hotel reservations (which were paid for and the money just gone now), and had to spend additional money for hotel rooms at sites we hadn't planned on staying. The truck's engine light stayed on the entire trip and several times felt like the transmission was slipping. It was a tension filled, stressful experience and I would warn anyone else from using UHaul again.
