The pick up location is more than a block away from the key pick up / drop off in a rough neighbourhood of our town. I would never use this location again. Drop off area was poorly lit to consider any drop off other than daytime hours.

The truck was disgusting, cigarette and drug paraphernalia in the ash tray, spilled drinks and food wrappers. The truck then had a catastrophic mechanical failure that almost made me have a head on collision with a tractor trailer on the highway.

Having to go back and forth between the parking spot and the store where the lock boxes are was a large inconvenience, especially because there is no easy spot to cross North Cumberland street in that area. Other than that, the service was great and the process was very clear and straight forward.

The owner of this location is one of the friendliest and most knowledgeable/helpful person I've had to deal with at UHaul. Everything was ready when I got there and and the whole process was very quick and efficient. I will be renting from this location again in the future if need be.

Something was not working with the web site when I returned the truck yesterday. I used a iPhone 6. I phoned the customer help line for some help, and it took 30 minutes to have someone to help me. I don't know the final price yet, but above 100 dollars for this rent is not an experience I am going to repeat anytime soon.

The lady was rude at the dealership. We dropped the truck off with no idea that we needed to sign the keys back over. We also took 40 mins to find the truck because the truck was two blocks away from dealership. If my friend wasn't a professional mover and knew about the location. I would not have been able to move. Then we came back to the area having to sign the keys out, the cell service is aweful and we took about 1 n a half hours to do the paperwork. If this is a known issue, like your rep statted - why not hook up a Wi-Fi hotspot for customers. 2 hours to fill out paperwork - ridiculous So the keys were returned to the drop box. The woman called me at 930am after moving from six am. Till nine pm. “Hello, you called UHUAL - who is this?” Me: “You called me I'm calling back “ “Well I don't know who this is” very rude Me “it's kimiko” “Oh where's my truck” cut me off So anyways she cut me off she was short after I told her we dropped it off, we didn't know about signing the truck out. She was rude and said “where the fuck is my truck” I told her again sorry I would go to the truck myself. Sign it out. She wouldn't even help me figure out what website to do that at. Then she was rude again and talking over my questions so I said enough and hung up. We drove while a manger was on the phone. She helped me. Found the truck. The keys were in the drop box. So her truck was always where we had originally found it with 300 dollars worth of gas in it. Also your reservation operate never told us there was a note on this truck and that it was empty. So we didn't even know about that cost. VERY UNHAPPY WITH OVERAL SERVICE

2 inches of ice/snow on the windshield from storm earlier in the week. Took me 20 minutes to clean it off. Charged me $38.80 for fuel and I brought the truck back with same amount in it as when I picked up.

The owner herself is very friendly and helpful at this location. The Uhaul website though is terrible and makes every booking experience really awful. Uhaul needs to improve its booking experience before asking people to rate the locations. It's dreadful.

The Thursday before I booked and was confirmed a 26' truck for the 6th from Jessica (lovely person) @ Woody's trailer sales. Nice and close to Big Bucks self storage. Also requested helpers to load truck. Poor cell signal. Couldn't get it set up through online as you tap that option nothing avail. Since no truck was to be avail. @ their location it would have been a godsend to have one taken to Woody's for Wed. Trying to leave Tues. for 7am, I had a 1 hr.detour in Winnipeg due to an accident and construction on hwy(blasting) which made me another 15 minutes later. I was to pick up truck for 4 somewhee else. Uhaul would closed for pick up. I had no cell signal and missed a couple of texts/emails reguarding their changes of only 20' avail. and change of pick up locations (other end of Thunder Bay,ON). Started trying to pick up truck Wed.am and being tech. challenged, with a cracked cell screen failed many times to register etc. on cell. Call for tech help and was put on hold for 2 hrs. and was left hanging with no help as promised for a person to meet me at truck which is not where the business is. I hung up.Snow storm moving in... A block away is the business is. Lovely Christine, helped me get on line registered etc. and was on my way into central location to pick up a FREE trailer(more gas to pull and insure). John,(also nice person), had a frozen computer trying to clear the $100. charge for trailer. Tech. guy (nice man) manage to come over and over an hour later got me moving. I got 2 bags of no charge light moving blankets free. Now the roads are closed due to bad weather and highway accident. Got stuck @ storage with 3 season tires on truck. Had 2 nice friends of a cousins come and get me out of there. They loaded me Thurs. Left by 2pm. Arrived 10pm.

This location was minimal in operation. Extremely basic. The parking spots for the trucks were on a grade of mud and snow..loose ground. Christine was great . Friendly, helpful and informative and courteous. Christine's disposition made up for the lacking surroundings. The truck and smart phone operations were performed perfectly and efficiently. I overall would recommend this location and Uhaul trucks.

The interior of the rental was absolutely disgusting . The rental was not ready for pick up as it was snowed in its parking spot, uhaul customer service was just as disgusting as the interior. I will never use uhaul again, and i make sure to show the pictures every chance i get to friends/family and there friends and family.

Truck was not at the address I was given. It was parked in a lot down the road. Truck was covered in snow with an inch of ice on the windshield and totally snowed in. Passenger window was left open an inch so there was snow on the inside of the cab. I couldn't document everything with pics as my phone was dying from the cold and being used to call uhaul (transferred twice and put on hold, ended up at voicemail and I had to call back). Truck was completely snowed in. I would not say it was ready for pick up.

I was extremely disappointed with this whole experience. The truck was extremely dirty inside and out and in the box as well. The couch I moved picked up dirt from the inside wall of the box. The truck was totally covered in snow and it took me 10 minutes of rocking it back and forth to get it unstuck. And to top it off there's wasn't any windshield washer fluid in the truck which means I had to stop 4 different times and put snow on the windshield to clean it. The price was also not reasonable for all the hassles I had to get the couch. Again, I am extremely disappointed with this whole experience. And to top it off, the app wouldn't allow me to return the vehicle properly which meant I had to sit on hold for almost half an hour to return this. And then I still had to pay full price for a truck that was filthy and stuck in snow and covered in ice and snow. Difficulty with the locks on the lock boxes when attempting to retrieve vehicle keys Truck lot located at different area from key pick up. The U-Haul app needs a serious overhaul. Difficult to use and not user friendly at all.

The Uhaul online check in procedure is beyond frustrating and not user friendly!!! After being unable to log in to reservation we called the help line who merely told us to go inside but the office was closed!!! Thankfully someone answered at our local number and came to our assistance and gave us written instructions to get key and a local number to text to finalize our rental. Uhaul needs to realize that many people are not familiar with online technology! This is the second time we have dealt with this issue resulting in taking over an hour to actually pick up a vehicle!

The whole pick up process was confusing the business is basically someone's house where you pick the he's up. Then u have to drive two or three blocks tucked behind a mechanic shop is where you pick up the trucks.

The local customer service was amazing!! She was helpful, went over & beyond. By that I mean she fixed main offices mistake when they deleted my rental reservation and then later when Main Office change location and time on the remade reservation. The van was spotless. Easy pick up and delivery! I would recommend my location to all my local friends and acquaintances. Awesome first time experience with U Haul!!!

The vendor wouldn't even come to the door to help me. Said I had selected contactless pick up. The van had dog hair all over the inside. The van gas tank was not full. And the engine light kept coming on. Apparently this is common because there was a note taped to the steering wheel advising drivers to ignore it. Worst experiences ever. Won't be back to uhaul. Will find a different rental company next time.

Your mobile app check-in is a nightmare and not user friendly! This was our third rental in the past 6 months. Last time we lost 2 hours just getting checkin done. Yesterday was a good 40 minutes. When we picked up yesterday there was torrential rain so we drove 3 miles to our home to wait out the storm. When the rain subsided and we were leaving we saw a hairline crack in the windshield so I attempted to bring this to Uhaul attention and have it noted through the chat feature and they transferred me to roadside assistance!!!! In frustration I hung up as we were already late for the pick up we had scheduled. I

U haul changed my location which should not be done in the first place. The place shown for pick and return is not the place as they park trucks at a different place so it is confusing. No one is available for any help. Other customers were also there confused. I think uhaul should try to make it simple to pick up from this location.

The wife booked truck , for me . WHEN I got there was told I need here phone too pick up truck for GPS, there was no mention of this anywere, she was not with me , it was a nightmare from there , getting truck , plus my credit card wasn't acceptable , which I had used about 4 mnths prior for a big move and had no problem with it at that time , by time everything was straightened out , I was an hour and half past my pick up time , this was a nightmare !!

Please allow the app to add photos from your gallery. I took the photos I thought needed and drove away after dropping off the truck. Just to find out I had to drive all the way back to the truck and then drop off the keys for the second time because it wouldn't allow you to upload the photos. I found it was super inefficient and needs improvement. The staff was amazing and super knowledgable and thorough with all instructions and friendly.

My chosen vehicle was not available, van I had ran very poorly and would quit running at low speed. I returned van with same amount of fuel as I picked it up but was charged for fuel and a fuel filling fee. Poor experience overall. Rob Wilken

This was the worst experience I have ever had with uhaul! First I was sent to one location, to find out I was directed across town to another location, once I arrived my reservation had expired and upon waiting on hold for over an hour was told that this location doesn't do 24/7 yet I was not notified of this before hand! Called many times to get transferred to BC?? Following that I paid that estimate amount which I was then told I had to pay another $50 dollars for being under my kilometres?? I asked the dealer for assistance when picking up and she informed me sorry .. not working today! When returning the truck I accidentally locked the keys in the truck , when asking the representative if they had a spare set of keys I was told I was “Fucked” ended up ordering a tow truck which cost me an additional $140 to get back in!! Very unprofessional dealer! And service representatives seemed like they had no idea what they were doing!! Worst day ever!!

the UHAUL app is TERRIBLE, absolutely the worst thing ever. Please fix it or don't recommend people to download the app when it does not work and trying to check in to pick up the rental wouldn't work on the app OR on regular web app on a phone - MUST use chrome to pick up as everything is glitchy about the uhaul app and website!

Blackfoot Baits pickup location was extremely helpful when the uhaul website and ap failed to allow me to check in or checkout. The Uhaul online process is awful, terrible, unusable and wasted about 1.5hour if my day and lots of stress to an already stressful moving day. Despite adjusting all my location and permissions it would not allow GPS location, it would not accept photos. I will never use uhaul again until the website/ap are revamped. And when I tried to call the 1-800 number on checkout they couldn't even close out the transaction. I had to return to my rental pickup location to ensure the transaction was closed out.

The truck wasn't really clean. It was OK but the cupholders how do you spilled coffee, there was used Kleenex on the floor, The driver side back up light was burnt out also.

We were told this was a location where we would deal with a person. It was not and it took 4 phone calls and 45 min to get sorted and on the road. The online "easy breezy, 8 minutes tops!" did not work. Wouldn't recognize our location, and the app (that one of the people we spoke on the phone to told us to download) was not available in our region. After all that, we get in to the truck and it (during a pandemic) was filthy and reeked of smoke (party truck?!). The bait shop where we picked up the keys smelled better than the truck. It was a horrendous experience, adding unnecessary stress to an already busy day. We will never rent a Uhaul again.

The processes of pickup and delivery are complicated by the separation of the properties where the vehicles and keys are kept. The person at Blackfoot Baits is very nice but the process itself is not good.

The 4 hr window allowed to rent the bigger trucks is just not enough time to load and unload. It took about 2 hrs just to load the truck then 2 more hrs to unload, plus, to gas up and then return the truck. One day rental should mean exactly that, one day, meaning 24 hrs and not 4 hrs. Thank you.

I used 18.56 l of gasoline to go 25 miles I don't think that the fuel tank was completely full, it did say full on the gas gauge but it should not have taken that much to fill in up after I was finished.

The 24/7 pickup option through the app on my phone was a nightmare. And it took 15 minutes for approval once it got sorted out. Also, there was maintenance issues with the truck such as the right indicator not working properly and the fuel gauge wasn't reading properly.

Truck was not at the location ( Address list on invoice), truck was not wiped down or sanitized (Covid 19). Have to all customer service put on hold with out being told wait 5 or more mins then get someone else spend from 845 to after 11 to finally have my info released and someone find the the location of the truck that was a block away from the address provided by U-Haul.

The whole process was exceptionally stressful, I have a cell with no data, so the whole electronic check in thing made me angry. The vehicle was NOT available in my preferred location so I had to drive 60 km to pick up and drop off. I only needed it for one load, an hour max, but it turned into a much longer event. Then I could not get in touch with anyone to let them know it had been returned. Dump that electronic check in mess.

Get your act together. A couple of day before the pick up of the moving van. I was contacted by your office in Winnipeg and was told my pickup location was changed. This made it very inconvenient due to the distance i would have to travel to pick it up. The next day I received another phone from the office in Winnipeg. This time saying the 20' van was no longer available and U haul would give us a 26' van. The pick up location changed again, and had to travel even further to pick it up. The day before I was to pick the 26' van up, I received a call from the local dealer in Thunder Bay and reserved the van. A few minutes after that, I received an other call from another dealership in Thunder Bay, saying they had my 20' van available. That day I also received an email saying my contract has been cancelled. I inquired with the dealership in Thunder Bay, Blackfoot Baits, and luckily they keep our reservation. On the local level the customer service was excellent.
