Marion RThe self checkin is awful, we had to drive back and forth to the truck and then back to the check-in site. Couldn’t upload pics to return process, the back of the truck wasn’t locked when we picked it up. We’re really happy with the truck itself, that worked great but the checkin and return isn’t great. Thank goodness Christine is available to walk us through the checkin (she’s great!) but dropping off late at night we had trouble and after a really long day of moving, we just wanted to be done with it. Computers and phones can’t replace people for everything!

ERIC PVery inconvenient t have to go to 2 separate places to get key and truck. Drop off was confusing. As it was different instructions from the app. Also I didn't notice when booking that there would be different locations to get the keys from the truck perhaps it should be noted as this would have impacted our decision when booking. When picking up the truck the app was not allowing us to add pictures.

Richard RGreat customer service but the inside of the truck was disgusting. The inside of the front windshield had some sort of bodily fluids half way down the glass. The upper dash storage had dirt in it and the folding cup holder basically hit the floor when opened. The truck itself heavy vibrated between 60-100km/hr. The steering was way out of alignment. The steering wheel was 30+ degrees off center just to drive straight.

Kristina MOnline truck pickup, truck return is a pain in the ass, needs to be simplified, puts all the work on the person renting the truck and no effort on the dealer. Strong believer as well that truck should always be returned full of fuel for the next renter.
Wayne KThe Interior was a bit dirty and smelled of second-hand smoke. The check engine light would frequently turn on/off. The U-Haul app to collect/drop the keys was atrociously slow, buggy, and impractical. The vehicle did its job just fine. I also appreciated Blackfoot Baits picking up the phone after hours to assist.

MICHAEL GThe truck share process of picking up and dropping off the truck was outrageously complicated. Not hard to follow, but the hoops to jump through were ridiculous. The interface on the website/app was seemingly unable (at times) to process the elements required of me to pick up the truck. Generally speaking, the ability to pick up/drop off a vehicle beyond the operating hours of the location is great. The process? Terrible.

KENNEDYH JI won't be renting from the Cumberland location as I didn't like the service that I received and the price is outrageous for just using the truck. I still had to fill-up the tank because it was empty when I got it.You would think that the truck would have been filled for only going from thunder Bay to Sioux Lookout and back to Thunder bay and their trucks are rough to ride in and are gas geysers. What they can do to improve their business is be reasonable with prices and ungrade their vehicles if they want to charge $1060 and that's exactly what I was charged they never gave me nothing back for returning the truck in good condition or for putting gas back in the truck or for cleaning the truck after using it but they say that they will charge you a fee if not done.

MARYELIZABETH MTerrible system to self check in. Confusing and lots of running around. In order to get the key, need to perform the initial check which includes checking the odometer and gas, which requires the key. Only way to get it is to confirm unknowingly. Truck is parked 1.5 blocks away so you’re going back and forth to complete steps.
Brian HSpecific details and clear instructions for pickup were lacking. Would be good to know before pickip exactly where truck is located, and exactly where key is located, and a specific time it would take to do the kine pickup. I lost 90 minutes trying to track my truck down including having to call 1800 Uhaul and waiting on hold, passed along to different provinces etc. Lots of room to get better. Will try same location in future to see improvements made.
david CCup holder was a pool of water and window handle loose/ falling off Drop off wouldn’t let me upload odometer from camera roll as you have to drive back and forth from the pick up spot where location needs to be and the actual truck drop off lot . Confusing pick up/ drop off because of this.
Sarah GIt was a terrible experience I had to go to to agents because the first agent didn’t set up my truck for mobile pickup. The price is completely misleading and then when I was about to drop off my vehicle the business owner didn’t take into account my pickup being later and called me and was so rude! I will never recommend or use uhaul again. And I will make it my mission in life to tell everyone how terrible this business is!!

Luanne SThe truck was disgusting, cigarette and drug paraphernalia in the ash tray, spilled drinks and food wrappers. The truck then had a catastrophic mechanical failure that almost made me have a head on collision with a tractor trailer on the highway.
Darren SHaving to go back and forth between the parking spot and the store where the lock boxes are was a large inconvenience, especially because there is no easy spot to cross North Cumberland street in that area. Other than that, the service was great and the process was very clear and straight forward.

Pauline PSomething was not working with the web site when I returned the truck yesterday. I used a iPhone 6. I phoned the customer help line for some help, and it took 30 minutes to have someone to help me. I don’t know the final price yet, but above 100 dollars for this rent is not an experience I am going to repeat anytime soon.

kyle vThe lady was rude at the dealership. We dropped the truck off with no idea that we needed to sign the keys back over. We also took 40 mins to find the truck because the truck was two blocks away from dealership. If my friend wasn’t a professional mover and knew about the location. I would not have been able to move. Then we came back to the area having to sign the keys out, the cell service is aweful and we took about 1 n a half hours to do the paperwork. If this is a known issue, like your rep statted - why not hook up a Wi-Fi hotspot for customers. 2 hours to fill out paperwork - ridiculous So the keys were returned to the drop box. The woman called me at 930am after moving from six am. Till nine pm. “Hello, you called UHUAL - who is this?” Me: “You called me I’m calling back “ “Well I don’t know who this is” very rude Me “it’s kimiko” “Oh where’s my truck” cut me off So anyways she cut me off she was short after I told her we dropped it off, we didn’t know about signing the truck out. She was rude and said “where the fuck is my truck” I told her again sorry I would go to the truck myself. Sign it out. She wouldn’t even help me figure out what website to do that at. Then she was rude again and talking over my questions so I said enough and hung up. We drove while a manger was on the phone. She helped me. Found the truck. The keys were in the drop box. So her truck was always where we had originally found it with 300 dollars worth of gas in it. Also your reservation operate never told us there was a note on this truck and that it was empty. So we didn’t even know about that cost. VERY UNHAPPY WITH OVERAL SERVICE
KIMMIE M2 inches of ice/snow on the windshield from storm earlier in the week. Took me 20 minutes to clean it off. Charged me $38.80 for fuel and I brought the truck back with same amount in it as when I picked up.
GARTH PThe owner herself is very friendly and helpful at this location. The Uhaul website though is terrible and makes every booking experience really awful. Uhaul needs to improve its booking experience before asking people to rate the locations. It's dreadful.
Kennedy JThe Thursday before I booked and was confirmed a 26' truck for the 6th from Jessica (lovely person) @ Woody's trailer sales. Nice and close to Big Bucks self storage. Also requested helpers to load truck. Poor cell signal. Couldn't get it set up through online as you tap that option nothing avail. Since no truck was to be avail. @ their location it would have been a godsend to have one taken to Woody's for Wed. Trying to leave Tues. for 7am, I had a 1 hr.detour in Winnipeg due to an accident and construction on hwy(blasting) which made me another 15 minutes later. I was to pick up truck for 4 somewhee else. Uhaul would closed for pick up. I had no cell signal and missed a couple of texts/emails reguarding their changes of only 20' avail. and change of pick up locations (other end of Thunder Bay,ON). Started trying to pick up truck Wed.am and being tech. challenged, with a cracked cell screen failed many times to register etc. on cell. Call for tech help and was put on hold for 2 hrs. and was left hanging with no help as promised for a person to meet me at truck which is not where the business is. I hung up.Snow storm moving in... A block away is the business is. Lovely Christine, helped me get on line registered etc. and was on my way into central location to pick up a FREE trailer(more gas to pull and insure). John,(also nice person), had a frozen computer trying to clear the $100. charge for trailer. Tech. guy (nice man) manage to come over and over an hour later got me moving. I got 2 bags of no charge light moving blankets free. Now the roads are closed due to bad weather and highway accident. Got stuck @ storage with 3 season tires on truck. Had 2 nice friends of a cousins come and get me out of there. They loaded me Thurs. Left by 2pm. Arrived 10pm.
Emily GThis location was minimal in operation. Extremely basic. The parking spots for the trucks were on a grade of mud and snow..loose ground. Christine was great . Friendly, helpful and informative and courteous. Christine's disposition made up for the lacking surroundings. The truck and smart phone operations were performed perfectly and efficiently. I overall would recommend this location and Uhaul trucks.

The rental was not ready for pick up as it was snowed in its parking spot, uhaul customer service was just as disgusting as the interior. I will never use uhaul again, and i make sure to show the pictures every chance i get to friends/family and there friends and family.
James FTruck was not at the address I was given. It was parked in a lot down the road. Truck was covered in snow with an inch of ice on the windshield and totally snowed in. Passenger window was left open an inch so there was snow on the inside of the cab. I couldn’t document everything with pics as my phone was dying from the cold and being used to call uhaul (transferred twice and put on hold, ended up at voicemail and I had to call back). Truck was completely snowed in. I would not say it was ready for pick up.
Thomas CI was extremely disappointed with this whole experience. The truck was extremely dirty inside and out and in the box as well. The couch I moved picked up dirt from the inside wall of the box. The truck was totally covered in snow and it took me 10 minutes of rocking it back and forth to get it unstuck. And to top it off there’s wasn’t any windshield washer fluid in the truck which means I had to stop 4 different times and put snow on the windshield to clean it. The price was also not reasonable for all the hassles I had to get the couch. Again, I am extremely disappointed with this whole experience. And to top it off, the app wouldn’t allow me to return the vehicle properly which meant I had to sit on hold for almost half an hour to return this. And then I still had to pay full price for a truck that was filthy and stuck in snow and covered in ice and snow. Gregg GDifficulty with the locks on the lock boxes when attempting to retrieve vehicle keys Truck lot located at different area from key pick up. The U-Haul app needs a serious overhaul. Difficult to use and not user friendly at all.
Anthony KThe Uhaul online check in procedure is beyond frustrating and not user friendly!!! After being unable to log in to reservation we called the help line who merely told us to go inside but the office was closed!!! Thankfully someone answered at our local number and came to our assistance and gave us written instructions to get key and a local number to text to finalize our rental. Uhaul needs to realize that many people are not familiar with online technology! This is the second time we have dealt with this issue resulting in taking over an hour to actually pick up a vehicle!
