We reserved 3months in advance to pick up our U-Haul in White Rock. The day before we were to pick up our U-Haul, we were telephoned and told there were no rentals available. We would have to travel several hours to Osoyoos, or cross the American Border to pick up in Blaine, Washington.

I had booked a 1 way and the uhaul rep there told me that I had to return it the next day and I had to change all.my plans based on that. The lack of information ruined the experience for me. This was VERY BAD!!

KURTIS SFraudulent business practices, Uhaul always charges me more than I used the truck for. I drove 64 miles, I added 7 gallons, the associate charged me extra 5 gallons.
LAMIN JThe representative that helped me spoke little to no english. The reservation took so long to complete that it became almost awkward. The English was so bad that the customer service representative had to video chat with a friend of his just to translate. Not only that, there was no communication on what was being charged or how it was being charged. He simply handed me the key and I was on my way. Also, I drove the truck a total of 44 miles. I put $25 worth of gasoline into the truck as well. Now, I did drop the truck off an hour and a half past the deadline and you guys charged me $40 for that. You also charge me an additional fee for the mileage I guess. So why in the world would I have put $25 worth of gas in the truck if you were just going to charge me anyway? It was a complete disaster from beginning to end. I would like some sort of compensation for the inconvenience that I experienced using your company. I will never rent from U-Haul again. Not this location anyway. I have used U-Haul in the past and I have had no issues. This has been a mess. And it needs to be corrected.

Suzanne STruck was parked in a low spot with lot of water from recent rain, but the store manager went out of his way to step on crates to get into the truck and move it to dryer ground for us - we really appreciated not having to get our feet wet!
Joseph MThe guy behind the counter barely spoke English. When I dropped off the truck after a 1 day rental, I handed in the keys and he said he would send the invoice. He appeared to be eating his lunch as his hands were covered in food. By the time he checked it in and I received the invoice the system incorrectly charged me for a two day rental. I had to go back to the store to remedy the situation, and after trying to explain he called U haul and handed me his phone. A very strange and frustrating experience.

Brian MUhaul Our reservation was for 8:30am in Abbotsford but it was changed to 9 am .They contacted us the night before we reserved the truck and trailer not having the truck we ordered or trailer so we had to drive to Blaine making a 3 hour trip that should been 5 minutes. The place didn’t even open until 8:30am but the guy working there didn’t really open it until 8:45. This shouldn’t have been available online if it wasn’t available at all in the Fraser valley. Moving between provinces is stressful enough as it is and we were recommended U-Haul by two people. They said they would reduce the rate because of the 40 minute drive to get to Blaine and 40 minutes back but ended up charging us way more. Our reservation was supposed to be $1006 and ended up being $1084. We were told that we would be upgraded to the larger trailer for no extra so we didn’t have to drive to Blaine and Bellingham but then end up having to pay full price for the larger trailer on top of not getting the promised compensation for having to drive so far. We got to Blaine and they didn’t have the right serial numbers of our truck and trailer so we had to sit for an hour before everything got figured out. The man putting in our information was noticeably and outrageously high he had to ask someone to come in and help him. The A/C worked for 5 minutes in the beginning of our 12 hour trip and then died. Our water kept heating up so we couldnt drink it and it’s was a complete sweat lodge and 3 bees flew into the cab and my wife is allergic to them.

Kerrin YThe truck cabin smells of urine and the shifting knob is hanging on by a thread. Needs to be replaced asap. The rental location was nice and the individual at the counter was very pleasant. He did his job. Uhaul however failed to fulfill my reservation and forced me to pick up the truck from a location over 30 minutes away. $50 does not cover the waste of time and effort involved with rescheduling your entire day plan because the organization cannot meet their obligations. I will be using other services for any future moving needs.
