No bulletproof glass in a better neighborhood that had English speaking workers

It took a really long time to get the truck checked out. The person at the counter did not seem to know what to do. She couldn't get the app to work. She did not have me sign anything and there was no paperwork at all. Very strange. The truck was fine so it turned out okay.

I never use u haul again. This is the second time the people at your facilities made mistakes on my reservation and I had to take the vehicles back to original locations because they didn’t submit it as a one way trip. This cost me a lot of extra gas and miles and when I spoke to the person on the phone in the Weber road Romeoville location where I returned the truck even admitted that the person who helped me did it wrong but it was still my responsibility to return the truck. The calls are recorded, it was Saturday October 27th between noon and one. Listen to it and tell me I’m wrong that your attendant admitted they mage the mistake not me but I had to drive the truck back 112 miles and gas because of one of your representatives. Times are hard enough and the extra hundred dollars I had to pay really put me in a bind. And if you look at all my reservations you’ll see the original order was changed twice in the last minute taking me even farther away from my house to pick and it got switched from a ten foot to a fifteen foot which was grossly unnecessary for my needs and I never drove anything that big. Scared the hell out of me. So yes I’m very upset and will never use or recommend this company to anyone ever again. Thank you

Actually fill the tank to 3/4?like the paperwork said. Gas was less than half. Have representative speak American English so we can understand her. Let us choose drop off location. We did not request or use blankets. Overall a bad experience!

Kind of a raggedy Shell station in a sketchy part of town. No assistance at all. I had to return on app and no instructions on site about what to do with key. I took key inside and gave to cashier

This person helpful in returning the equipment and no one was there with unhooking the trailer. The spoke little English and walked away when I tried to speak with her.

This should not be a drop off location! There was no signage indicating this was a U-Haul location. It is inside of a gas station and the attendant could not leave the building. The drop off location was in a cramped area behind the gas station. The attendant had to call someone to help with the return. She was rude and bothered to be there. This entire drop off experience was unacceptable.

It took almost four days to get my reservation closed out. I had to contact Uhaul support three separate times and three closing requests were sent to the location before it finally happened. Additionally when I reached out to the location myself to try to close out the reservation the person on the other end told me they didnt understand my question and proceeded to hang up on me. I would never recommend this location to anyone ever.

Don't confirm my booking if you don't have the equipment I reserved. I needed an appliance dolly and was sent all over this town look for one. This took up an extra hour of my day and you didn't even have what I reserved! Was told to go to another location for this dolly and they didn't have it. SO let MAD. My pickup was at a gas station with no direction on how to get the truck. I received 10 emails the day I had the truck which was very irritating while I was busy moving. Then found out after I already returned the vehicle that I needed to download an app to do the return. This was never explained to me when I specifically asked how to do an after hours return when I got the truck. This was awful experience. No direction or communication for your expectations at all. Will never use again.

We were not told by the person that we rented from that we should return the vehicle filled with gas. We were charged a ridiculous amount, including a $30 fee that was again, not mentioned to us upon rental.

The truck I rented needs to be retired. It was so bumpy it felt like it was missing shocks or something. Horrible ride.

I dont complain much but everytime I pickup a uhaul from this location the furniture covers are all scattered around the back of the uhaul and the dolly is detached laying on the floor. I always have to move the furniture covers and stand the dolly back up. Never had an issue with picking it up bit job with them trying to overcharge me, I've had enough. I'm sure they are using these uhauls for themselves and charging there customers more to cover the cost. This place needs to be checked out immediately.

My trailer had a broken axle dampener and the guy who did the light check lied and said the lights worked i left and got pulled over because the passenger side lights did not work and when i took the trailer back he acted as if all the lights worked 10 mins before i got pulled over. Poor place to go to they do not need to even be able to rent these out they dont care just go to a regular uhaul place

Have someone working for UHaul at the store. Didn't like just leaving the truck and trailer with a gas attendant. No one checked us in or the truck. A lot could happen from when we dropped it off and the next day when it was checked in. Next time we will go down the street to an actual U Haul store. We chose a drop off place close to our new home. Patsy Davis

Agent forgot to put the 6 blankets I ordered in the trailer so I was out $5. Other than that, he was very nice, efficient, easy location.

Convenient pickup and drop off. Very nice attendant. Speedy service. Truck was not clean from previous guest. I don’t recall dirty trucks at uhaul facilities.

I was a little nervous about there location at first but the service relieved that. Very pleased with the truck. It was clean and performed well. Would use them again.

The vehicle was very bad. The snow on windshield is also not cleared and their is nobody to help or not even any tools to clean it. The light of the vehicle also not good.

It was pouring rain when we picked up the truck. It would just be a lot easier if we were able to go in and work with a representative and somebody that can help us through everything that needed done

Information from the store wasn’t communicated properly. I reached out to U-Haul regarding my invoice with screenshots of information because I was overcharged. I’m disappointed I haven’t received a response. I will likely use a different company if I ever need to rent a moving vehicle in the future. This wasn’t my usual good experience with U-Haul that I’ve come to know from past moves.

There are zero signs to say it is a U-Haul location. It is Shell gas station. There were no markings or signs to indicate where to park. We weren't sure if we were at the right place. The gas station attendant was the person who checked in the truck. He was very nice and professional. The attendant didn't have a name badge or a uniform to indicate that he is a representative of U-Haul so we were a little leary about leaving the truck there. Overall it feels really sketchy.

Uhaul was not cleaned, tank was less than half full, tow dolly wasn’t hooked up and ready for us.

Worst customer service ever. I told them I had a uhaul trailer to return and they asked me if I filled it up with gas. Then told me to park it over there where they were pointing. No help unhooking or lifting trailer off hitch or anything. Very disappointing customer service or no customer service.

It’s odd, my drop off location got changed after I picked up the truck. Also, I had signed up for SafeMove but it was marked as declined when I got my contract. I had to call U-Haul in town to request my drop off location be changed back to what I had specified in Chicago. I had also submitted photographs of my driver’s license when I made the reservation online, so I’m unsure why I had to submit pictures of them again at pickup.

The person checking out and hooking up our trailer had difficulty because the manager accessed the record at the same time. This caused some confusion as to whether we had already paid, what we paid for - safe trip, etc..

Employee at this location you cannot understand.. he gave me wrong information... Needs to know what he's doing before he tells other people wrong information. Was told he was going to charge me $100 deposit but I would get it back when I returned the truck that never happened and also told me if I bought it back a day early I would get credit that did not happen as well. I ended up calling you U-Haul and was told a completely different set of rules and regulations and information. If people are going to work in the business of renting out trucks they better be knowledgeable of what the rules and regulations are so the customer is better prepared... My bill was $200 more than what I was quoted was not very happy
