This location should be removed from the list of available weekend rentals because it is not staffed during weekend business hours. The trucks are kept behind locked gates, so self-check-ins and returns are impossible. Phone calls to the number highlighted on the invoice went directly to voicemail; no messages were ever returned. The 10-foot box truck is mostly useless for transporting unwieldy or heavy items because it does not have a ramp. All items must be manually lifted off the ground several feet to the truck's floor and back down again. Good luck with that.

The business was OK. It wasn't the location's fault, but I was REALLY jerked around by Uhaul with my reservation. I reserved and contracted a location close to my house to return my rental trailer. Uhaul evidently decided after they had my money and mid rental to CHANGE my drop off return to a location much further away. After multiple phone calls to Uhaul Inc and hold times....40 minutes total, they were no help in getting my original drop location restored. ZERO help from Uhaul and since BOTH my pick up AND drop off locations in our contract were changed by Uphaul I will not use them again. SHAMEFUL treatment of customers who have a paid reservation contract with them!

You’re a Rip-off …Disgraceful to have been charged a total of $217 ($160 + $57) for a mere 122 miles total in 24 hours of a tiny 10 foot box truck to remove our precious deceased mothers belongings from the nursing home …. We will NEVER utilize UHaul again…you’re Shady!!!

Cab of truck was a little dirty probably due to the inclement weather. Muddy boot prints and pine needles. Otherwise the truck was clean, newer and the check out process was very fast. Google maps had a hard time getting me to correct gravel driveway, as it is tucked back behind some other businesses, but I figured it out.

I was charged 80 dollars for missing equipment for a furniture dolly I rented, but I never received the dolly and went ahead and moved my furniture without it. When I dropped off the uhaul no one was there so I put the key in the drop box and immediately called and left a message and asked them to remove the furniture dolly rental charge. A few days later I got my final bill and not only was I charged for the rental but I was charged an additional $80 for it be missing. I was also charged $104 for fuel charges. When I rented the uhaul the lady I worked with it told me to put more fuel in then it had when I got it. I only traveled 17 miles that day and so I put the appropriate amount of fuel in before returning it and still was charged this much . I have called and no one has made this right with me. Do not recommend.

This was my first time starting and completing a rental virtually with the app. Best thing ever. But this location was the best ever as well. Easy to access. The lady that ended up helping me w something outside the app was cheerful and positive. This location will be what I use in the future and where I will tell others to go.

We dropped the truck off they never checked it out they never asked our name acted like we were not even there 2 days later the lady from Sutherland called and said when were we going to take the U-Haul back we said it had arrived 4 hours after we rented it. This happened to us twice in 2 weeks the same way very very poor service

Truck was dirty and had multiple handle trucks and blankets that had to be removed by myself prior to departing. Fuel level was concerning as it was touching empty and had barely enough miles to reach a fuel station.

Rose Auto in Springfield Oregon is horrible. Rented a van for one day and was charged by them 111.00 and then 195.00 . Was contacted by U-Haul representative and he gave me 95.00 credit and yet it still cost me for one 195.00. Unacceptable. Rose auto did not inform me of costs when I picked it up and never answered their phone!!! I consider rise auto to be out to screw the customer with unknowns. I have rented from UHaul in other states and never had an issue!!!

Having to return using a QR code in a area with questionable cell service, or phone not capable, and staff that is unreliable(didn’t follow through) makes for a frustrating return experience

I had to look for help. He didn't seem to have a lot of knowledge of what he was doing. The facility has a poor entrance and unclear markings. I understand that it is not their main business, but they weren't very business like.

Very personable and kind people helped me both of the times I've used this location. The owners name of this location is Treston. Not only did I receive great service from him I also met an energetic new puppy he had which was a lot of fun. And, I feel like because of this experience I will give this auto shop a try when one of my vehicles needs repair. Thanks Treston.

Not impressed with the staff person. He was busy washing a car and gave me no assistance in unhitching my trailer or volunteering to help put it where it went. I was not impressed at all. I would never go back there again.

The location was hidden, no obvious office. U-Haul is a sideline, not their main business. They were very busy, and I had to wait over half an hour to get someone to check me in. I did not want to just park the trailer and leave, without being checked in.

The process was seamless and very professional. Unfortunately I didn’t catch the name of the gentleman who helped me, but we had connection issues with the trailer we reserved and was offered a different, and larger trailer for our needs; at no additional cost to me. I was overwhelmed with the over-the-top customer service; they made sure I received what I needed. The return process was even easier than I remembered. Will definitely return for any rental needs!

The office was not clearly marked. The first truck I rented couldn’t even move the drivers seat so I could reach the pedals. When I switched trucks it was dirty inside. When I returned the truck the original gate I picked up at was closed and locked. Had to call to get let back in. I will never rent from that location ever again

This was just a drop off location. Not a actual uhaul store. So it was hard to find someone to help me. but once i found someone they were very helpful and sweet and very kind. It was a blonde younger girl that helped us.

I picked up the truck full and drove maybe 15 to 20 miles. The fuel gauge was still on full left my house and Returned it with a full gauge and still got hit with a refueling fee. I will be telling others to avoid renting here along with telling my business partners the same.

The short version: I called ahead and was told the Albany location had what I needed around 10:30am. When I arrived the item was there but they wouldn’t rent it to me because the computer said it wasn’t recommended. I called the call center and they sent me to a place in Springfield where they were willing to rent it to me but they said I had to go buy an adapter for the light cord. So by the time I was actually connected to the item it was after 5pm. I will not be using uhaul again.

Upon returning the truck I was told just leave the keys on the counter. No one took the time to inspect the truck with me, or give me a receipt. After the fact I have now been charged for overage, which is incorrect I was a good 150 miles under the miles given for my trip and 11 gallons of fuel, which according to the chart I was provided I was only about 4 gallons short on fuel and that is why I skipped the gas stations. I will never rent a u-haul again going forward.

Make sure to take the time to show the customer how to operate the locking door system in the back of truck. Luckily I had someone with me that knew what to do but for safety reasons I should have been shown since I was the driver. This was my first time renting a uhaul truck. Checking in to get truck was good service as well as returning it.

The way gas is processed needs a serious overhaul. The guessing game used to determine what level the gauge should be at when returning the vehicle is borderline criminal. The penalty for not reaching some arbitrary point on a gauge is very difficult to measure. I was over the gauge mark and my best guess is by at least $20-25. Very simple process, when it is checked out the tank is full and when it is returned the vehicle is full. Before I rent again from uhaul I will look at how your competitors manage the situation.
