The owner of this location was hesitant to accept that I had paid on line, and told me that he would have to run my card when I picked up the truck. Not a problem, but then he wasn't there when I arrived at the scheduled time (10 AM). I waited around and finally his associate gave me the truck and I told him I'd come back later in the day, before heading out of town for good, if he needed me to do that. This is a company that services RV and their hours are very short so it's difficult to tone the drop off when they are there! All the units sit out in a field so as far as drop off goes, I park the unit, drop the keys and leave! I haven't been contacted so I have no idea if it is okay or not! Area needs to be cleaned up worst part of experience was how poor the U-Haul truck condition was in. The whole truck was dirty, falling apart, the dash fell off while driving and worst of al was the gas smell from the engine, all made it impossible to drive.Allyson C.
Two out of the last three times I had to use the location in ellenboro North Carolina there was no one there to assist. Had to make phone calls and wait quite a long time for someone to show up even during business hours.one time was a pickup from the ellenboro location that was scheduled at a specific time and no one was thereHarris P.

John was not there at our pick up time of 1:30 PM. He left a note on the door stating he was at lunch until 1:30 PM along with a phone number to reach him. We called the number several times over the course of an hour and a half, with no answer. He finally showed up after 3 pm pulling a boat on what appeared to be his personal vehicle and a passenger. He behavior was not professional at all. He told us he would not accept cash and tried to talk us out of renting the truck because he said it was 'more than the internet said it was' despite the fact we had plenty of money. After having to leave and get cash out of the bank, we did not get the truck on the road until after 4 pm on our already hectic moving day. It was a terrible experience! I would not recommend this location for pickup or drop off!JASON C.

Had a hard getting my information to go through. I have never rented a Uhaul before, but my name didn't want to go through. Said that I had done damage to a Uhaul in the past, and I have never rented one before. After many attempts, it finally went through. I also cannot pull up my receipt on my email. The facility was in the m iddle of renovation so that hurt their score. However, the manager and staff were great. Evreything was ready when I needed it, they worked hard to make arrangements, contract and ;payments. I would recommend the people and the service and use them again.richard T.

The location is convenient to the main highway, which is good. It took about 30 minutes to check in because the man was using his cell phone to process it. Too long.sue P.
I had reservations for a one way no insurance and a appliance dolly my total after taxes was 124 and some change the guy at the pickup location asked me all of the questions again to make a new order after I pre signed in he charged me 175 for insurance and two Dolly's as well as a in town rental I called customer service and they said they would fix it but when I went to drop the U-Haul off in the other location they trued charging me the 175 so now I'm out over 300 and I rent U-Haul on a monthly basis and have never had this problemAustin S.

Have someone there to check out the truck when you know you have someone coming at 8am, having someone sit for an hour waiting is cutting into their time to get things done. The ramp had to put a lot of force up to get it latch into place to use it. There was no paperwork to sign when checking out to state the millage and fuel so that you have that information for your knowledge to be able to remember where the fuel level is for the return.terry W.

Again, I did the online reservation to drop the trailer off at one location and it was changed to another. I did receive a text for this but I don't understand why since I confirmed at the originating location that it would be fine to take it back to that location. Then a couple hours later I get the text changing the location. Again it was about 15 minutes away and I really don't see the point of that. The online reservation system should be able to take care of these things when you are making the original reservation.Delroy W.

I rented a car trailer for 1 day from Boon docks campers and U-HAUL. Asking how much it would cost for a rental I Never was given an actual price on what the rental would cost "it's gonna be around $70-$100" Brought the trailer home and found the ramps had no latches. They were literally hanging out about to scrap the ground. After I had to use my own equipment to fix the issue. I proceed to used the trailer. Finally, I Returned the retal next morning. I Didn't even have the trailer for 24hrs. Two weeks later $800 dollars was taken from my account with absolutely no warnings. U-Haul had thought I had stolen the trailer. I was out on a "watch list." Well come to find out, after wasting my time, to fix an issue that should have never happened. The trailer was never checked in properly. So instead of uhaul contacting the renatl service "Boon Docks campers and u-haul" to see if the trailer was, or wasn't there, they automatically assumed I had it and tried contacting me first. Like it's my responsibility to make sure the trailer gets checked in. We had to jump through hoops to get the money back. Our dealer laughed as if it was a joke. This was the worst uhaul experience I have ever had. I'm sure all I will get is a great big we are sorry for the inconveniences. We will be spreading the word on your brands name. You should really inspect your dealers equipment.CHANDLER J.

Experience was awful. I had to jump it off with my car twice and the brakes scrubbed horribly. I will never use this company again. I spent too much money that I worked hard for to not get what I paid for

the place I was suppose to pick up my trailer did have it they sent me here, they had a very hard time with the computer could not print out my paper work the place is in a field very muddy. trailer was not clean the person working the desk did not seem to know what he was doing this must be a new location.tammy D.

We did not like the idea that we had to drive to another town to get our truck, we originally rented from a place in Rutherfordton, NC and when we stopped by the day before we found out that we probably would not get the truck we asked for but then it was not until late that afternoon that we found we had to go into Ellenbourg and instead of getting to pick up the truck at 7am we had to wait until 8:30. We already had movers coming to the house at 8:00 so this change had us paying for guys to just stand around. Also we rented a 15' truck but I do not consider a 13' truck with 2' over the driver area a 15' truck. We had to leave our out door fire pit and we feel like we should be compensated for that.Melody C.
