I was charged a cleaning fee on the vehicle. The vehicle exterior was not clean when I picked it up making visibility of the road very difficult. Please help investigate why these charges were added.

ALAN FThe truck I had booked was not ready when I first arrived and the manager had to ask me for information I had already entered on line because, according to him, the information doesn't always come through from the website. He then encouraged me to return the truck after hours because although I had originally intended to return the truck by 4pm closing time I was late leaving the yard and, according to the manager, I had paid to have it through to 9am the next morning. I returned the truck after 4pm and got charged $20 for after hours return, a charge he had not warned me about.

ERIN RThe passenger side front door did not close properly. It swung open while I was driving on two occasions. It was very dangerous. I had to lock the passenger side front door to prevent this from happening the remainder of the day.
Matthew AThis location does not allow for one-way trips and should not be accepting reservations for one-way trips. If someone is reserving a rental and requests a one-way trip, don’t include this location as an option.

SCOTT OThis store should be inspected the condition from inside looked like a 90’s tool store. Very filthy. And also, on the top the person managing is shady. He did not inspect the truck before and blamed me for damage to the roof. There is no way my loading area had low clearance. I drove for 8 kms, and I can go through the way again and show them. I have lost faith in easy service. The store needs to be looked by management.

SAM LAll good, but two small issues. 1.) the van was clean but smelled of rancid garbage after leaving the site. B.) the previous rental went bad due to the on-line booked van was blocked in by other vehicles when picking up and we had to rent at another UHaul location.

BLAIR ELook the equipment not being perfectly clean Is NOT an issue , I'm just being honest and am really here to say that the man operating the facility goes above and beyond-. I had inadvertently left my car key in my rental van and he made sure it was brought back to me under half an hour - mind you the new renter after me wouldn't have got very far - nevertheless it was so welcomed by me to feel that this location had my back after a very long and stressful day of moving. Cant recommend the man who runs this operation enough - he's really and truly a very good human. .

MAXWELL CI like the convenience of this location and have recommended it to friends, but this time the guy behind the counter seemed dishonest. I thought I had seen him take a picture of my credit card which I don’t like. And then he billed me all kinds of extra money for not filling the gas when we drove 7 kilometres and the gas gauge didn’t even move!!! Furthermore, the van was dented up pretty badly on one side and had stains on the seats - I felt a little grossed out to have to sit on those seats. I guess I’m gonna just have to proceed with caution. Very much not a great experience this time.
CONNOR BSuper super sketchy location that is incredibly hard to find. There is no signage out front. I felt very uncomfortable inside especially leaving my personal information (ID credit card info etc) I would never go back here.
OLIVIA DThe staff were helpful and accommodating. Location is convenient. However, van smelt so badly of smoke made me feel ill even during short drives with the window open. The van was not clean when I picked up the vehicle (lots of animal hair etc) and this smell of smoke was unacceptable to rent before cleaning. I had a hard time making my trip which was drives of less than 20 mins at a time. Please do better about enforcement of smoking in vehicles and cleaning before rental.

Kym HThis booking was cancelled or changed due to there not being a truck available at the chosen site. A new location was chosen but this cause stress in my schedule and the location was VERY slow to process a 8:30 booking, my driver arriving before 8:30 and leaving the location at 9:07. The truck was advertised as a 20ft but the floor space is just over 16ft and the high space was 2ft at best, no where near 20ft. This means I could not get my full load in. I will certainly have to reconsider my rentals with U-Haul.

Debbie VEverything was great. U haul made it easy to rent the van. I called, reserved and picked up the van. It was easy with no hurdles or obstacles. O would recommend UHaul to anyone.
Thomas FYour app is horrible. It timed out while I was picking up the truck. I wasn’t able to follow through with all the steps in the video instruction. And when returning the truck the app timed out several times and once again I was unable to enter in the mileage and return the truck properly. I waited for over a half hour to speak to someone on the phone with no luck in reaching someone. I had to call back the next morning. The truck was fine but your pick up and drop off system truly needs work.
carina fDouble check and fill up the fuel if it requires it. Got the vehicle with 3/4 tank of gas and though I understand I could have returned the vehicle the same amount, I forgot to take a photo of it on the app (did not realize it was a procedure) I do have a photo of the dash prior to me driving off with the vehicle. I just had hoped there was an option to upload that photo even if the link has expired. Apart from that, everything was well. Good rental. Process of renting and returning was smooth.

Michael MGreat unknown location in the Riverdale neighbourhood right across from Gerrard Square Mall - friendly staff and efficient process. Many types of vehicles available for moving. We had a horrible experience with a well-known rental company on Polson Street - did reservation online, received several email reminders until the day before we called to ask a question and they said they had no record of our reservation, no vehicles and despite being given a confirmation#, it didn't matter, we were out of luck with them. U-HAUL saved our moving plans, can't thank them enough.

MARK HI use a regular few U-Hauls on a regular basis. I have an account I use to book vehicles online most times. I did so again at this location, one I use less than normally, and the "operator" asked my driver for my credit card, which was on-line and I use regularly. Unacceptable action. This with my past two experiences, changes in Montreal and overcharged by a Toronto operator makes me question my future use of U-Haul.
LJ SThe vehicle’s wiper arm directly scrapes on the windshield as they’re completely worn out. The vehicle was supplied with 3/16’s of a tank of fuel, which for a vehicle this size is practically empty. The cabin needs a thorough cleaning as there was a definite odour that wasn’t indicative of it being clean.
Sean DI tried to book the movers that were recommended on your site, but they were very rude and I wound up moving the furniture myself. I would recommend researching these companies more as they are associated with your brand. Otherwise, the gentleman who helped us with the truck was fine and the location is convenient so I would use them again.
Jennifer WFirst, I'll say the location was fine and the truck was fine. The person I interacted with over chat for support was also lovely and helpful. HOWEVER - the app was very glitchy on my phone and it wouldn't let me sign in even though I had singed in earlier in the day (i tried on app and on web browser on my phone). I had to use my laptop but some features weren't working on my laptop so checking out the truck was extremely challenging and stressful. From a tech perspective it was an absolute nightmare. This does not reflect on the location but as a U-haul issue overall?
