The cab smells of cigarette smoke. Otherwise a great experience.
ANASTASIA FMy issue is not with the pick up location it is with Corporate. The people at the pick were nice and tried to be helpful. My reservation got screwed up and it took nearly 2 hours to get my rental at the original price quoted. I was rerouted to another location and was not informed. And by far WORST of all, the people at corporate I was speaking to on the phone were rude and had zero sympathy for my very frustrating situation, which threw off my entire day and being 2 hours late cost me money. Specifically 2 different women at this number (413) 535-2432 were down right nasty and did nothing to even try and understand the situation no less help. The man i spoke to at least tried to be helpful. I get it mistake happen but how the company handles them means a lot. I am so frustrated by this experience i will likely not use U-Haul again and I will spread my bad experience to all if this matter goes unrectified.

KENNETH APoor Wifi at location for doing needed task via text link. When I did have WiFi service once we stopped in Hinsdale, the app was faulty and would not allow for taking photos of the trailer. Gave an error message. Not being able to complete the upload of photos felt risky, like I could potentially be charged for damage later on.

LAWRENCE FU-Haul, you need to make your interface more accurate for reserving online. I specifically wanted a ten foot truck. Don’t let me purchase it online and then change me to something bigger and more expensive. That’s called low-balling.

robert sThe van was the most challenging to drive. I have driven a lot of Uhals in the past and this was the worst one. It struggled to accelerate. It also took nearly 20 min to just check in. I know the staff were new to this, but it took painfully long just to get the van.
Tyler MWhile the pick-up was a good experience, and the owners & staff there were very friendly and helpful, our experience with U-Haul on the 1-800 customer support level was NOT good. We had reserved a truck in Greenfield Massachusetts for pick up on May 29. It wasn't until I chose to call the location 2 days in advance to confirm our reservation that I found out our pick up location had been moved to over a half hour away and in a different state. I did not receive an email about this change until AFTER I had called to find out what was going on. In an effort to get some understanding on the inconvenience of this change, I called the 800 number again to see if maybe we could simply ask to not be charged for the 30 extra miles our different route (avoiding NYC & DC) would take us. That's all I was asking. But I was told by the agent that 1. the agreement clearly states they can change the pickup location on me up to 48 hours in advance and 2. we had been offered a different truck but since we declined it we had waived that assistance (and NO - a 26-foot truck is NOT an acceptable replacement for a 10' truck - it is WAY bigger, handles way more like a freight truck than a large "van", and is much less fuel efficient, ultimately costing us significantly more in gas for our multi-state trip) and 3. Brattleboro VT was the closest pickup location that could offer a 10' truck on that day (which was apparently not true, as we drove by a U-Haul location at 286 Federal Street on May 29 that had what looked like TWO 10' trucks sitting on its lot). And finally, when I asked politely but directly what might be able to be done to assist us with customer service, considering our situation, I was told that there was nothing that could be done, and that everything was clearly in line and that I should have known any of this could happen and that U-Haul was in no way in a position to offer customer support. I was scoffed at and told that driving a 26' truck was really no different than a 10' truck. I was made to feel like this inconvenience was really my fault. And it was clearly communicated to me that I was not valued as a customer, and in no way could have a valid issue. All it would have taken was an acknowledgement of the inconvenience, an apology if the information I needed had been missed in the fine print, and a courtesy extension of a few extra miles in what was allotted on the trip to make me feel valued and respected. But this U-Haul agent wouldn't budge, and seemed intent on making sure I knew I was wrong.
