Excellent service at pick up and drop off. Staff was friendly, prompt, and helpful. I would not hesitate to rent from this location again.

DANIEL HBecause the employee that works there DOD NOT tell me I would have to bring my uhaul truck i rented back to the place I rented it from. I have NEVER HAD to bring the trucks I rented back to the same place. That's what made your company good NOW IT has a sour taste in my mouth. Will NEVER RECOMMEND UHAUL

MICHAEL AIt took so long to be able to physically initially pickup the truck that the person told us to bring the return the truck to the new location at a quarter of a tank (which is where it was when we got it) and the gas was on them. And now we are being billed for the gas, adding more trouble to the trouble we already had to deal with.

App is telling me to find the keys that the clerk is holding and won’t give me until completion of a paper contract even though I’ve already completed online contract.

LISA PHad a 5 month rental for a move, it was seamless, get the code, store the junk, call the mover move stuff out all clean and tidy, Very good convenient facility. The only thing wierd is to buy the lock and keys, which I returned because no use for them, so why add a charge to buy, this is a little much when you are paying $400 a month…cmon guys don’t add a charge for the keys!

This initial company owned site on 8th St Fernandina Beach, Fla needs a review for customer service, empowerment, meeting customers needs.... I am a very request one way customer of u-haul... The lot in Fernandina has maybe 30% of usual inventory.. My first ever experince of being told there is no one-way rental for size that was available, did not have size I wanted, made no initial offer to find/locate for me, when did was not given the physical address, the location description was the wrong office, I had another 5 mile drive to the location where trailer was located, the new pricing is well over $100 vs most recent same trip one way was just over $80 total... All prior experiences have been great with u-haul... This one may be a decision changer... Hope that this effort to inform is helpful for you and me in the future... Regards Freddie

Having rented a few times from U-Haul this location is totally awesome, the Human Resources are very friendly and very pleasant to speak and discuss and ask any questions. If I have another opportunity to u_haul and I am close to them I will surely them AGAIN!.

Todd CThere was a problem with the wiring, I believe. I kept getting an indication that the trailer was disconnected and then it would reconnect. I checked the connections multiple times and it appeared to be a wiring problem.

Mike DAll I needed was a truck for (1) day one way (182 mile trip). I was told the system would only schedule for 2 days. I explained again that I only needed it for (1) day. I was told to call 904-781-9404 to let Uhaul know that I only needed the truck for 1 day and I should be able to get a refund for the send day. I called the number on the ay I rented the truck and the representative explained that I would need to call after I dropped of the truck the next day to see about a refund. So I did. Then I was told that this was a flat rate which meant that whether I had the truck for 1 or 2 days, the price would have been the same. First time I heard this. I explained that had I know this prior to renting, I would have NEVER rented the truck. Why would a rent a truck for one day for $300??? That's $100/hour!! If I don't get some sort of reprieve from Uhual from this ridiculously high charge for a 3-hour trip, I will NEVER use Uhaul again. Very disppointing.

Jay EI rented an 6x12 trailer a week in advance at the Fernandina Beach FL location. The previous renter did not return the trailer and we had to scramble to rent at this location which is a half an hour away. We barely got there by closing Otherwise I would have been screwed. The renter did not give notice that they would be late and would not pick up when called. Just realize that a reservation is not a guarantee. You may be stuck without a trailer no matter how far in advance you book.

Ermelinda AI was excited to see such a nice facility was being built next to I95 in Yulee so I rented a 10 x 20 inside in the airconditioned portion, bottom floor, middle of the building. I felt unsafe as a woman entering the building by myself and seeing a man I didn't know, inside tending to his unit as I passed by him. I did realize that there were cameras but the camera footage would not have help me if I had been attacked so I opted for an outside unit (10 x10- unit 1203) where I could drive up and unload in front of the unit and I was near the office. The staff was very nice and accommodating . After a week in the new 10 x 10 unit I stopped by to add some more items and opened the door to find that the entire floor was wet!! The metal walls and ceiling were not wet just the floor. Of course my cardboard boxes were disintegrating and my grandmother's upholstered chair was very damp, plastic storage containers were dripping wet on the bottom and sides. It had been raining off and on during the week so somehow the water is seeping into the cement floors. Not sure if it's a drainage problem or the cement foundation was poorly constructed and water is wicking up through the cement. I did notice a high humidity inside the building in the airconditioned area too. I told one of the staff and showed her and I asked for a refund and she said "This was Florida and Florida has a lot of humidity. And I couldn't get my $197 refund for the month." Luckily, I didn't have VALUABLE things , just old sentimental items of my grandmother's that I valued. So it wasn't worth anything monetarily, but I could've used the $197 to help pay for my granddaughter's dance classes. Of course, I IMMEDIATELY moved my stuff out that day - Jan 25, 2024 ( and down the street , 10 miles, to another storage facility and rented another outside unit that IS DRY !!! I turned my keys in and the unit emptied on Friday, Jan 26, 2024. I had the staff look at the unit and they could see the wet floors too. They did say they would speak to the manager, but I haven't heard anything( January 27, 2024, Saturday) They still have $ 197 for February. The wet floors in the outside units should be addressed and the problem solved before renting them out. And the humidity should be checked inside the building. I don't believe this is the fault of the owner. I think this is a design and construction problem that now the poor owner will have to solve . If the cement wicking and drainage problem of this facility is not fixed, it will affect the business. Maybe a total loss?
