My only problem was when I booked I was given one quote but when I picked up it was more. However I called and got that rectified. Guy making the delivery was extremely helpful and kind.

We waited until after 9am. It was closed. And sort of hard to tell where exactly the door was. But then we left the keys and original paperwork in drop-off boxes. I guess it was OK.

This is not a dedicated Uhaul store. It is a furniture place and doubles up as a Uhaul agency. That's not a problem but they have one laptop which didn't work so they use their mobile phones. I was pressed for time and just getting the truck took quite a while. Could improve their service.

i dropped off after hours. It's not a great looking facility from the outside, but there was space tp park and a working dropbox, so it was everything I needed. Very polite and friendly man assured me everything was good when I followed up by phone. Fine experience.

The service provided in both locations in the New Orleans area was excellent (truck at one trailer at another). They were awaiting my arrival with paperwork and equipment ready to go. In fact from phone reservation to equipment in hand was less than an hour an a half, and that includes dealing with New Orleans rush hour traffic.

I'm not sure what can be done to improve this, but I had to rush to get my move done on a day that it was raining and for some reason the traffic was insane at 1:30pm?? Taking this into account, I asked if I could get the truck for a couple of extra hours but was told "no" because someone else had rented the truck at 3pm, so I had to have it back by then. I don't know what can be done to offer more flexibility, but I was really put under duress even though I tried to plan for the situation accordingly. It was beyond stressful to have to rush my move when I tried to allot enough time for it.

This location is in a very bad neighborhood, moving from out of town there should be a way to either specify the quality of the location or just simply remove all locations in bad areas

For the UHAUL Conpany: If someone reserves a truck ahead of time to make sure you have one at that location and not call less than 24 hours in adjacent to let them know you don’t have a truck. Making someone drive 30minutes out of their way to pick up at a location across town when they live across the street from the location they requested is very rude. The location was ok, wish they opened earlier than 9am in a Saturday.

The location for the pick up was fine and service their fine but your whole on line system to order a truck is terrible. You have to reserve at least 2 days in advance for it to be reliable. Otherwise it’s unrelaible. It’s impossible to do a same day reservation. I even booked a truck and it said it was available the next morning. No warning that it might not be there and I called in the morning to cancel and they said they never had a truck for us. Would never recommend your ride share 24/7 booking. Terrible waste of time

The service was poor and disorganized - we had to wait an extensive period of time to pick up our van even though we had a scheduled pick up time. Once we received the van, there was no license plate - just a piece of paper that had the phrase "License Applied For" taped to the back of the van window. We had the van for about an hour and traveled 7 miles in order to move a mattress. A day after returning the van I checked the invoice and noticed a $25 cleaning fee. When I called to inquire I was met with a very rude response and was told it was because there were a few wood chips in the front seat. The front seat was not used during the trip. We were not instructed to sweep the back of the van when we picked it up as the man said on the phone or warned about a "standard" cleaning fee. This was not a good experience - the customer experience was poor and disrupted the entire process, even after the return of the van.

There was a huge difference between my experience with this location and my experience with the direct employees of Uhaul. First I'll speak to my experience at the location. It took about 45 minutes just to get the truck that I had reserved online due to either lack of understanding the system or the system had been changed without proper training. This may be a direct Uhaul error as when I went to a direct location it also took about the same amount of time and they kept saying that it had changed. After getting the truck I looked it over and at the mileage and advised that the mileage was a mile off. I was told well that might be from him pulling it around to the front. Ok well I'm still not paying for a mile that I didn't drive and he agreed with the new mileage. That evening I drove 50 miles to pick up a vending machine when I got there the dolly that I had ordered wasn't in the truck so needless to say I couldn't get a 750lb vending machine without it. 50 miles back home 2 hours of time and a trip wasted later I went back to the furniture store/Uhaul rental facility. I let them know that I would like a reset as I couldn't accomplish my task due to the dolly not being in the truck, as it normally is when I rent from Uhaul. At first the manager was amicable and offered another day at no extra charge. He then had me get my own dolly, which had a torn strap as they all did and load it into the truck myself. I then asked if he would come check the mileage for me. He replied that he didn't need to do so and I said I understand, but that I will be disputing the mileage due to making an unnecessary trip because the dolly was not in the truck. I accepted some responsibility as I know now I should have checked for the dolly and would eat the cost of the gas, but that I would be disputing the mileage. He then told me to just take a picture of it to which I advised him that I did, but that I just wanted him to verify it. He wasn't willing to do so. He then stated that hes already giving me a free day and I said yes and I appreciate that however I made a full trip that was unnecessary due to the dolly not being in the truck. That's when he turned it around and said that I forgot the dolly. I informed him that I hadn't as it was included in my original order done online. He then said well we both forgot the dolly. Once again I didn't forget it. He said that I didn't get it and load it in the truck...how was I supposed to know that it was my job to load my own dolly in the truck. He then said well how about I just take away your free day and you just do what you have to do and return the truck when your supposed to. I replied ok so 30 minutes from now laughingly and he said yes. Now my experience with customer care after I left and called them. Fantastic! They listened to my concern, gave empathy and understanding, extended the truck out another day for free and informed the Regional Manager. The reservation was made at the Tulane location, but when I arrived there, the truck was not available. So I had to go to the Galvez location. The people at both locations were not helpful. They could careless about customer service.

I understand that most u-haul locations are in conjunction with another business, but I expect a company to have my equipment at the time I was quotes. At the very least, acknowledge me in the first 3-5 min I am in your store, not after 30min. I would appreciate a call from u-haul when you get this 713-542-3788.
