My booking got a bit muddled due to what I'm guessing was either a miscommunication or a human error, but my pickup time, drop off time, and email address were all entered into the system incorrectly and I was enrolled in the insurance without my knowledge, all by the person who took my reservation over the phone. Luckily we were able to correct these issues when I arrived to pick up the truck.

Jeanne FI made my reservation online. My pickup was scheduled for Sunday at 11 am on 4/13/25. The sign on the door of this actual location says yes, it is open on Sunday at 11 am. The space was dark, sign off. Thank goodness there was a phone number posted. I called—no answer. I texted and got a response that this location was closed on Sundays. I explained the issue, and the individual drove down to meet me, which I greatly appreciated. BUT. My concern is - and I guess the question becomes - what is the point of making a reservation online if the information is not reaching the location being assigned? I've always used Uhaul and never before had an issue. This experience won't stop me from using Uhaul again but I couldn't let this opportunity go by without saying something. Thanks for reading. David LTruck was covered in snow and windshield frosty - counter staff couldn't initially even offer a scraper. 2nd employee later came to find out why I hadn't left with the truck - I was waiting for heater to defrost windshield, he found a scraper and cleared the windshield. This cost me approx. 40 minutes. At loading location I found that there was no dolly and no furniture protection blankets in the truck (fortunately I was able to make do with what I had). There was also a 2' x 2' sheet of glass left on the floor of the truck that I had to dispose of.

HAMZAH HI really liked how the keys were ready in the truck and it was heated up and ready to go. There was also no like and they got me in and out really quick! The people at this location were friendly, went above and beyond, and were amazing overall!

STEVEN LThe woman who waited on us was very good. However, it took me over 1 hour to get the rental and leave the location. You were very understaffed. I have no complaints with her.
Michael REverything was very informal. I appreciated that they got me in and out, but they didn’t make me sign anything and told me they would send me a link to check in later. I didn’t get that link and then was worried I’d get penalized for not doing it. They also didn’t have the blankets I ordered and told me to try another location. I asked if they could verify the other location had them and they said “you can call”.
Rachel ESomeone that rented the truck before me that I used on 8/31/24, left a refrigerator on the truck. When I called the location where I got the truck from he told me to get rid of it myself. I told him no I can't do that and he said there's nothing he can do about it. So when I dropped the truck off at the Taylor location they charged me a cleaning fee for the refrigerator that was left on the truck by someone else. I will not rent from this location in Ann Arbor no more.
WILLIAM EWas told I returned the car with the tank half empty from when I started, despite me having driven the car a total of four (4) miles and still topping off at a station before dropping off the car.
RUDRAJ KThis location does not keep posted hours. Nor do they deal out the proper equipment per the rental contract. In my instance, I showed up on time for my rental, and waited two hours as I was scheduled for an in-person check in. I was forced to return at a later time, to find I was being charged the entire time. I paid for moving blankets, did not receive them. Four hours of my day, and three hours worth of a rental (that I paid for) were lost due to negligence. The only reason I am not leaving a review anywhere else is because the mechanics at the shop were great guys, and were not involved in the process. Next time, please do not let someone schedule an in-person check in process during hours that you aren’t going to be there. P.S. Upon returning the truck at 6pm past closing, I met two other parties who were in the same situation as I had been earlier. I like UHaul, I like the Broadway shop and its employees, but something needs to change because decent people are losing time and money. Thanks
Connor EI am disappointed in being charged for over my miles but I was no where close to that. Plus the truck had 1/4 tank of gas when we received it but over 1/2 tank of gas when I returned it. Then getting charged even more. Not the locations fault at all, this is a UHAUL issue.
Amy RI will be contacting your office about this too, but I was given a larger vehicle than I signed up for because all 10’ trucks apparently needed to stay in Michigan. My stuff didn’t even occupy 1/3 of the truck but the mileage was so much worse than a small one that I went $150 over what I had budgeted for gas. We also had to pay extra for parking because a hotel we stayed at had a clearance high enough for the smaller truck but not the one we ended up with. Overall this was a lot more expensive than I signed up for and would like a partial refund.
TESSA RI used the U-Haul for a total of 7 miles before having to go get gas which brought me to nine miles. So I basically used one gallon of gas but I had to pay to refill the gas to above a quarter tank, so I wouldn’t get the extra fuel fees. I think maybe the tank should be above a half when someone gets it so then I wouldn’t have to pay for more gas than what I used.

Mark DWe dropped off after hours so we never went in or spoke with anyone. We did leave a second electrical hook up cord with the trailer because we found it inside the trailer after we picked it up in Lansing.

Kevin HThe person who works at the location asked us to be there at 9:00 am. When we arrived there, nobody was there. We called and nobody answered the phone. He did not show up until after 10:10 am. Several people were like us waiting there on that day. This is very frustrating.

leslie dThe Android Uhaul app has a major bug that would not let me check in the car properly. Took me a bunch of tries and a call with customer service to find a work around to be able to pick up my rental. Otherwise the location itself was great.
