The office had a closed sign when we arrived and the man had unavailable voicemail. We came back 15 minutes later and knocked. He had his hearing aids out and was missing equipment we had reserved. I had to type my own information in therefore we had to come in close contact and he failed to print me a receipt. It took us over 45 minutes to finally get our trailer and none of that was installation as we had already taken care of it by the time he was finished with the purchase. I had all of the information filled out online and ready to go for pick up, however when we arrived at the location in Platteville, we still needed to sign paperwork and give more information. The man we worked with was an older man, very hard of hearing. When we arrived promptly at pick up time, 9 am, he didn't even have his computer started up. He proceeded to eat his breakfast sandwich and drink his pop while the computer booted up. Then he was incredibly slow going through the screens, and again, he was VERY hard of hearing so we had to repeat ourselves multiple times and almost shout, so it took a very long time to actually get the truck. We didn't leave the location until 9:30. This is unacceptable as we were on a time crunch. Then, when we returned the truck, I knew I had to take a picture of the gas/mileage, but I did NOT know that you cannot upload a picture. You actually have to take the photo while going through the return process. We had already returned the keys to the lock box before realizing this. This needs to be improved in your online app. There should be an option to upload a photo. Overall, this was the worst experience I've had with Uhaul.Michael J.

The windshield wiper blades were completely destroyed I had to replace them on the drive to my new home due to rain it was an extra $26 definitely should be part of routine maintenance. Also union further close inspection the inside rear tire on the drivers side was completely flat and I had to put air in it again routine maintenance.Christopher B.
We had trouble returning the truck. The online system couldn't figure out our location and there was no option to finish the return. When we called the 800 number was put on hold. After 15 minutes we had to get going. Not a great system. The truck was fine. The location was greatpatrica W.

The agient didn't put the trailer on my contract and gave me a trailer that she rented to another customer in the system. The computer process had to be restart multiple times because it stopped working.Brian M.
Obviously didn't do his job - I returned the trailer to him over 24 hours early (called him first and scheduled it), and was called 2 days later by someone else stating I didn't return the trailer and they would report it as theft!Dawn H.
I rented a 17 foot Uhaul and was notified two days before the pickup that I was getting a 10 foot truck. I was frustrated because I was going to have to make more than one trip with the smaller truck. I was told to "Take it up with Uhaul". The guy did try to make it right by offering me a cheaper mileage rate. He was less than friendly at first.Sara W.

We did Mobile Rental. The keys were for the wrong truck ended up having to call uhual to get the owner to come give us a key then dropping off was a nightmare nothing went right on the app no one was around spent lots of time on the phone with uhaul. After this experience I don't think I'd ever rent from uhual again.Dustin M.
Was supposed to pickup rental at 9am. Owner didn't show up until after 10 am. Cargo area of rental was disgustingly filthy and had not been swept out. After I left facility, I realized owner had not given me back my driver's license. So had to go back approximately 5 miles to retrieve. A very poor experience. Would like some of my funds reimbursed for having to put up with such a lousy experience.Dan D.

Customer service is poor. No one answers the phone. I was called the day before I was to pick up the van asking if I planned on picking it up, person's mannerism was rude and gruff. I said yes and he said are you sure. I told him I had confirmed it on line that morning. I would recommend a different person to answer the phone and better yet somebody that does answer the phone.Gary K.

The man there was rude and made my daughter and I very uncomfortable. He had several knives on his desk and commented that he was sharpening them, explaining it was the reason for all the paper shreds on the floor. The office stank, and was a huge mess.CHRISTINE R.

The truck was returned after hours so nobody was onsite for the return. The location wasn't an inviting place but it worked for the return. We received prompt check-in email when the business opened the next day.Jim P.

This is my second experience here. The first time I was a young naive college student, whom, when stating that I did not own a credit card sent the owner into a downright self-pitying spiral. The second time, my roommate and I went to pick up the u-haul. Literally the first thing out of this man's mouth was that his opinion of the millennial generation is that the government needs to reinstate the draft. I have heard this man drone on about everything from how the uhaul business is horrible and he doesn't even know why he's in it, to how the foreign students on campus are more likely to keep their word conpared to the American students. He even went on to base his initial trust on us (because we are American students) on whether or not we voted in the presidential primaries. This establishment only stays open because Platteville is in need. Browning Motors disgusts me on more than one level, but I'm sure I'll be back if uhaul.com continues to decide where I'm going to pick up my uhaul from, because, I am from Platteville, and I am in need.Corey H.

Really, don't you get notes from your ignorant dispatcher? ?That truck was filthy inside,broke down on interstate, rear breaks locked up,power steering fluid leaking making turns almost impossible, had a uhaul mechanic come and pick up truck,because I refused to drive it any further. ..Then you keep my deposit and charge me more money??!!! I think you better be refunding me all of money,attorney general is going to be notified as well! !!I would NEVER use or recomend anyone to use uhaul to move across the street! !!! My son picked up the trailer for me and the lights were not working properly, the person at Browning Motors sent him home and told him to try plugging it in to a different vehicle and see if that fixes the problem. Obviously that did not fix the problem, after being transferred several times on the phone you sent a repair man to fix the problem; and he did fix it. We picked up the trailer at approximately 12:00p.m. and we were able to start loading it at 7:00 pm after it was repaired. While traveling from Iowa to Tennessee the brake lights quit working, we called Uhaul AGAIN only to be told that they would not send a service person to repair lights. We were told that we could take it to a service center over an hour away from where we were. By now we are out of time and patience, so my husband decided that he would fix it himself. We were told that these trailers are inspected, obviously NOT!LAURA H.
