LAURA LIt was a struggle to the get the app working, I ended up having to call customer service. The truck smelled like cigarettes, there was water on the floor and a can of Red Bull left in the cab. Not clean whatsoever. I told the customer service rep and they told me that they will write that down. Unacceptable! For it to be dirty is one thing, but for it to be dirty AND smell like cigarettes is another!!

Let me tell you about my experience with your company: Three weeks out from my move I booked a 26’ truck along with furniture blankets, plastic wrap, mirror box, and some other supplies. I get an email the night before the move saying that my truck is ready at my location. No problems…yet. The next morning I go to my scheduled U-Haul location and while I am standing in line there, I get a call from U-Haul stating that they do not indeed have my truck. The employee who called threw out suggestions, such as getting a truck at 2:00 pm instead of 9:00 am or driving to a further location. Back it up. I had booked to pick up a truck in the city I am moving from for that very reason! After a long phone call, the employee and I settled on a location 14 minutes away for a smaller truck, clearly a later pick up time, and unlimited miles for the multiple trips I would bow need to make with a smaller truck. I get to the second location to get the 20’ truck a d they aren't open. After a quick phone call thanks to number posted on the door, the employee arrives in around 15 minutes. We get the smaller truck, but only the blankets and no other supplies and she doesn't honor the unlimited miles agreed upon with my chat with corporate. When I left, she asked where we intended to drop off and I said at the location I scheduled three weeks ago in Maiden, the town in which I am moving to. She said she couldnt locate the drop off site online and put “ undecided”. The move them started an hour later than expected and we had to pit more miles on the truck since it was further from my apartment where I was moving from. The actual move went fine. Then truck worked well and the blankets were helpful. I did miss the other supplies I had ordered and taking multiple trips was not ideal, especially since the employee we dealt with did not honor the agreement made over the phone. She only added 50 free miles. A little while later in the day I get a message from U-Haul stating that my drop off location was in Newton. This is out of my way from my location. I had specifically selected a Maiden drop off location because it is near my new house. This added more miles. The new drop location, in addition to being further away, was also insanely sketchy. It was at a gas station crawling with people high on street drugs and the employee seemed clueless as to how to handle a U-Haul drop off. I am surprised it actually registered that we returned the truck. If I could rate yall with negative stars, I would. Literally everything I booked three weeks before my move was not honored: the pick up location, the time of pick up, the truck size, the moving equipment, the promised extra miles, and the drop off location. I am furious with your company and how everything was handled. I deserve to be compensated in some way due to the insanely terrible customer service and the fact that I received nothing I had scheduled and paid for. I expect to hear word from someone associated with U-Haul in the coming days about how you can make this injustice right.

GARY MWe were allowed 59 miles but the drive to the storage place in hickory was 7 miles away. I picked a pick up location close to the storage place but then uhaul changed it. The drive from the storage to the house was 55 miles. The drive from the house to the drop off location was 4 miles. We had to put gas in the uhaul which caused maybe 4-5 more miles. We were charged $13 extra for going over the mileage when they didn’t give us enough mileage in the first place.

ERWING VBrowns had the trailer I needed to rent the last 2 weeks in a row. Fast service.
Roger CDropped the U-Haul off only to get a call the next morning saying I was going to get charged for not turning the U-Haul in to the correct location. Also dropped the U-Haul off with 1/2 tank of gas (1/4 tank MORE than required) and was given no credit. Even though when we picked the truck up it was on empty.

I even called hauls customer support line and was on hold for almost 30 minutes. More than a hour after my initial pick up time I still didn’t have access to the truck. I won’t be using uhaul in the future due to how horrible the service at this location was.
