Vehicle was average but the Customer service was not acceptable. This was definitely a learning lesson that I will not repeat again. The gas tank was not full when I picked it up but yet I was required to return it completely full. This site is not a good customer service based facility.paul H.

I was bait and switched on the price of the rental. The original charge was supposed to be 20 a day and 1.99 a mile for three days. I called on the third day before the truck was due and asked for three more days. I was told that they could give me one more day. The Buckley Uhaul then charged me the weekly rate of three hundred dollars added the insurance which I specifically declined. So I was charged for a week at the higher rate which I didn't agree to and insurance when really I had the truck 4 days and I agreed to 20 dollars a day 1.99 a mile for the pickup truck rental with no insurance which overdrew my bank account. I contacted the Buckley Uhaul and I was told to contact corporate. This totally over the top bad customer service. These people KNOW for a fact I had the truck 4 days. How could they justify charging me for a week. I want a full refund todayBarbara B.

You can start with not charging me 3 different times then you all can't provide me a recite that shows how much you all charged when I used small box truck for 1 day only went 20 miles got charged $326.00 was taken off my card. But then y'all can't give me a recite. Your employees are very foul and y'all need to do back ground checks because this is not acceptable. And best believe let everybody know my experience I had with this company very poor, unorganized and unprofessional!!!Tracy A.

We had a reservation that we made on May 21. That reservation was #22281790. We made it for a pickup at 8am today (May 30), and the McLendons in Sumner. Per the email, we should have received a call from a local agent by 6pm on May 22 to confirm the details. This never occurred. We showed up to McLendons around 12 today. They can't find us. They have no record of us. We look up the reservation online, and now it says pick up in Buckley, and that it wad canceled. Um, what? So we call this place in Buckley. The sheer rudeness of the man on the other end was absolutely ridiculous and uncalled for. He was accusatory that we didn't show up at 8. Okay - but why was it moved there? When did that even happen? And - Uhaul had ALWAYS called us if we were late to a pickup. Was picking up the phone too hard for this man? So, we re-reserve online just to avoid talking to this man any longer. We set the pickup for 2:30 and show up early. He's still rude. Like our presence is disgracing him and he had better things to do. He says our total is 280 something. Why? That's not what it said online. "Tax and insurance". We don't want the insurance, that's why we selected no on the reservation. This man THREW HIS ARMS IN THE AIR and said "well, fine but that just means you need to pay for any damages right away" In a tone dripping with disdain. We tried to complete a light check before leaving the location. He steps in, appalled that we are, and says "all the lights work". Guess what-- they didn't. No tail lights, no turn signals. We took him for his word and as a result, drove illegally. We have our reservation. This man needs retraining in customer service or a different position where he is not interacting with customers. We still have no answers on why we were never called to confirm, why our reservation was moved without notice, or why a courtesy call to see if we were just running late was too hard for him. I reported this to Uhaul customer service. Who did not care whatsoever.Ryan L.

I would of rated Excellent, but I rated poor for ratings on location pick up, because of sending out unsafe tires. The tires were way too bald, and when we reached our destination we noticed that half the rubber actually came off the tire. I was so scared knowing we could and didn't die from bad tires. If you saw the tire, you'd be shaking and upset too. I also noticed the other trailers on the lot had bald tires as well, otherwise I would of asked for a different one. So every location this trailer has been, the store is turning their head and neglecting safety. Tires should always be maintained, especially in the line of business Uhaul is in. Should never ignore keeping safe tires on. Uhaul knows their sending out dangerous unsafe tires, but my question is why do you choose saving pennies over killing someone. Uhaul brings in enough funds to keep up on saftey. Last year the trailer I rented had a burned out brake and turn single, which the uhaul place said oh well you'll be fine. We weren't taking it until they fixed it. They were too lazy to go get one. Ask yourself, "would I want my family in this position." I'm telling you I was so scared and amazed how we survived that tire. This is not acceptable for any of your trailers to go un fixed now and in future. If you do, your basically saying, we don't care if your human life is dead or stranded in the middle of no where.Fredolena L.

My original reservation was for Puyallup,WA, and I had to delay my plans and go to Orting, WA, which was 30 minutes away. I then had to pay an additional charge to drop the trailer off in Puyallup. I was inconveniced because a customer didn't return the trailer to Puyallup on the prescribed date.CLynn W.
The main problem was that it was far from where we original wanted to pick up our rental truck. I would never have reason to recommend that location to a friend. U-Haul needs a better way to ensure your customers know the vehicle is at a different location than where they requested it. The system you currently have doesn't send out any notification, it's just listed in the small print. This is really terrible out of the gate as it's a time waster.James N.

Customer service was horrible. I was given attitude for making my reservation online at Uhaul.com, renting for 2 days and treated very disrespectfully. I never received my closing receipt and according to my bank statement was overcharged. Based on the daily rate, mileage ( I put less than 50 miles ), and returned it with a full tank of gas (as I received it). I should have been charged less than the original price in the agreement as I didn't put as many miles. Will never do business at this place again and not sure about Uhaul either.Sydney D.

Will not rent again! I rented for ONE day and was charged for a month! Over $1100 was taken from my account on a $110 rental! I know have to wait for 3-5 business days that get my money that was needed to pay bills NOW! The charge per mile is outrageous and paid almost $65 in miles on a $20 rental! I will never rent again and will let others know how you took $1100 from me and all I got was it's being credited back in 3-5 days... This is absolutely unexceptable! A customer's car had been stolen from this location the morning I rented. The employee vented his anger and frustration to me and I left my car there feeling afraid. I only needed my rental for a short time so I hurried back to pick up my car. The office seemed cluttered and dirty.Ghyrn W.

U-Haul changed our reservation to a place 40 minutes away. The lady that called me so completely rude I was shocked. She also told me the reservation changed for 9:30â€¦.but sent a confirmation text for 7am. So I called the number on the text and they confirmed, yes 7am. My husband gets there a little before seven, drive 40 min away, and there was no truck ready. He had to call to get a human and was THEN sent to Buckley were he had issues with the car key not working. We also reserved a 26' and ended up getting a 15' which ruined the entire plans for the day. Shame on you U-Haul. That first person I talked to on the phone was so completely rude I honestly never want to use your services again. You should have better inventory trackers, you should know when a certain truck won't be available at a certain location, so don't even let it be an option online. Also at the back of my storage unit there are like 20 trucks â€œout for maintenanceâ€, what the heck? Get those running!Austin D.
