Every time I tried to add the 15 foot truck it kept changing it to a 29 so we ended up just paying the extra because I had to have it.. but all we were moving was a fish tank. Won't happen again or if I have to rent I will go inside and actually speak to them. Pretty sure I was overcharged also. Ended up spending almost 300.00 to drive 2 hours with a huge truck. Check over the vehicles as they come back in, it rained some, and the wipers were in bad condition, other than that truck was okDavid S.
I tried to use online check in before the store open and the site wasn't working properly. After 20 minutes of trying to get that to work the store was open so I went in. Once in, the only person working the U-Haul desk answered a call during my check out and spent 10 minutes with a phone customer inquiring about trucks for sale. After the call was over there was some kind of issue with selling a hitch with my rental. The service agent had to call someone on his cell for extra help. My wife who set up the reservation had similar issues. She tried to buy the hitch but had to keep re-entering the tailor rental information. U-Haul really needs to fix the website to allow for easy up sells like hitches! Finally the agent was able to ring up the hitch on a separate invoice from the rental. The agent was very nice and helpful and was helped getting the tailor hooked up. Our next issue came when we when to drop off the tailor. We had issues again doing an online drop off. This was supposed to be set up for "one-way" but when we reached out to the closes location at our destination they said it was an in-town and we would be charged extra fee's to drop off there. They advised we call the 1-800 number. After talking to the national sales center they said the same thing and advised we call the local center we rented from to sort it out. So the next day we did that. They told us it showed on his end as a "one-way" rental but on-line it was an in-town. He agreed to charge us for the 1 day rental if we returned the U-Haul back to his store. Very frustrated that we had to burn the extra gas hauling the trailer back and spending the extra time doing so. I don't understand how the local agent is telling me he sees it as a one-way but on-line showed it as in-town and he couldn't fix it. In fact when I first called him he sounded confused that we were told there would be extra charges and even said it was a one-way. I think because the on-line ordering issues and then the issues with the add on sale it caused the rental issues? You should allow your instore agents to fix the issues for the customer. In this instance we could've saved the extra time and gas from having to back haul the trailer. I will never use U-Haul on-line for setting up a rental, checking in, or checking out. I will also never buy anything other than a rental as its too much hassle. I will advise anyone to do the same otherwise they will have to pay extra fees or spend extra time and money doing something they didn't plan for! I don't like to complain and work with customers daily, so I have a good understanding of customer service and the value of on-line services! That was horrible!Robert L.

Reserving a rental was confusing. I called the pickup location first and was directed to the website. I reserved what I needed on the website which was simple. When I went to get my hitch inspected, she stated that because it was an in town trailer, there was no guarantee it would be reserved on the date I chose. I think this should be a firm reservation even if it means putting a down payment to confirm the pickup.MICHAEL S.

Got there reserved a 16 ft uhal one way and was quoted 242 and get there and all they had for a one way was a 10 foot and the 10 ft cost me 274 I was not very happy about that at all had to leave stuff behind cause we did not get the correct uhal do not sayisfyedmelisa M.

They only had a 1/4 of a tank in it when I picked it up which I felt it should of had more fuel in it so I could my move without putting gas in it right away. Not very good for the customer experience.Ronald G.

I wasn't sure if I was at the right bldg to return the truck. The Burlington Auto Sales return desk was in the bldg with a Deery Auto sign on bldg. It did say Burl. Auto on the door once I got to the door. ( there was a sign by the road too.)Bonnie P.

Spilled pop on the console, cabin area not swept out. Auto Outlet itself wasn't too bad. The Uhaul website and call center was the problem. Why do you show a van available at a location when you know a delivery firm has it out and hasn't been in contact with you on the return? 30 minute waits on the 800# to get no assistanceStephen F.

Friendly service. However it was 104 degrees heat index and Air Conditioner didn't work at all. Check in went smooth. When picked up uhaul, it had less than 1/4 tank gas!! So frustrated. Then put in over a half tank and no credit when returned. Wasted money on this. I recommend these come with full tank so customers must return with full tank. Saves time for renters to!Cory D.

My order was changed multiple times along with my reservation time without contacting me. I didn't receive the dolley or the couch-mattress pads that I ordered. Overall this stressed me out more than I needed it to.Hope M.
I've complained before, and I still experience the same poor customer service. A customer should not have to hunt down their own uhaul in town because the employee on the phone tells them the nearest is an hour away. Then when confronted with the information blames the customer.Dustin A.
