I paid for moving pads, but did not check to make sure they were there before I left. They weren't. Did not have time to go back. When I returned the truck, I told the guy they weren't there. He said he would refund the extra $10 paid for them. So far, that has not happened. Pretty easy online process to get the truck, however, and the pick up location is good/convenient. It's amazing though how a $19.95 (advertised) truck ends up costing $80. Sigh.

Guy working the counter in the morning did not know how to use anything with the uhaul. I had to rent one for my friend because he was lost with the system. When I ordered it through my app and went to get the keys he told me to stand on the side of the register then he left to walk around the store. When he came back he started checking people out ( this uhaul was inside a gas station). I did all his work through the app and just needed to go inside to get the keys. My friend reserved the truck for pick up at 7am we didn't leave uhaul till after 9am. I rent a lot of U-Hauls over the country and this was by far the worst location

Drop the truck off the same day I rented it. When I dropped it off I was told their system was down, so they would complete the return later. Two days later I'm charged for an extra rental day.

The lack of variety meant I ended up with a fridge that could not sit upright in the truck - had to be laid flat and caused me to make multiple trips (3 trips total) and cost me more money.

The uhual "facility" was a gas station and we stood outside for 20 minutes at least with no option to "pickup my truck" as the directions were telling me to do. The gentleman inside made us wait while he helped other customers check out for their gas station supplies. We lost almost an hour of time from the entire wait.

This place was disgusting and the staff was horrible. I am shocked uhaul lets a gas station rent uhauls. It was an awful experience and afyer using uhaul 20+ times in my life I will never again. This place should not be allowed to rent ihauls

The store clerk didn't seem to know how to run the uhaul system. He required three phone numbers, but gave no reason for needing that amount. He didn't know which of the dollies was the "furniture dolly" which I had ordered, and he didn't have the mattress bag I had already purchased. Guess I'm just out that money. When we asked which vehicle was our's, he said, "Don't know. Look at key." I requested pickup at a uhaul facility and was instead sent to a gas station. It took nearly an hour to do the pickup, because the clerk kept stopping to checkout the actual gas station customers

1. Employees don't know the features of the various trucks (for example, which ones have ramps) 2. The truck rear door would not open and close making it very difficult to load and unload

Had an awful experience trying to get into the truck. The server was down for both the app and the application inside the store. Had to wait in the parking lot literally over an hour and a half. Then finally the U-Haul server started working. This was after countless attempts and phone calls to U-Haul customer service.

vehicle was very dirty , I had to clean the windows myself . the fuel tank was below 1/2 mark was recorded as above . the attenddant was too busy to go around the vehicle , just gave me the receipt as said it was ready. sent me to the wrong return center (1700 hwy 75 sherman) they sent me to the Lamar site.

I had made my reservations to pick up at a Uhaul facility. The system changed it to a convenience store. Not what I wanted nor what I expected. The man helping me was nice and the truck was ready. But it did not give me the opportunity to purchase smaller boxes and other packing items that I thought I would have the chance to do as I was coming straight from the airport to get the moving truck.

The attendant did not communicate well. He was not very helpful. He told me that I needed to pay him for the use of the truck and I shared with him that I had already had paid for the use of the vehicle but he demanded that I make another payment without explaining the purpose of the charge. I agreed because I knew if I was doubled charge I could settle up through AMEX. When he gave me the key to the truck I asked which truck he said, "Look at the number of the key and go find the truck with the matching numbers. He was rude and very disinterested in my business and service. He acted as if I was disrupting his day. He was not a very good representative of U-Haul.

If lacking kindness and manner is okay, (maybe they are not in a mood to serve you), spitting in front of your face will be quite rude even for a stranger, I would say go somewhere else.

The truck was old and drove like a cement mixer. The gauge to help improve your fuel economy didn't work. The tow/haul option engaged automatically when you start the engine. This destroys fuel economy. I reserved an appliance dolly online and was told, when I arrived to pick up the rental, that the location doesn't have any. This caused me to have to leave my freezer behind since I couldn't move it.

Ingrid in live chat is really rude. She left a bad taste in my mouth and is for sure the main reason I won't use your company again. Besides not being able to help me, the men at the gas station that sell the U-Haul have no idea what they are doing and they don't even speak English. They could not understand anything I said so it is hard to do business effectively if they cannot understand me. They also do not answer their phones when I try to call them to resolve the issue. On top of that, at a different location on Burnet road the people are really unhelpful and do not care about how many customers are waiting in line. I waited 45 minutes to buy 5 boxes. They don't care at all about giving a good customer experience. As your customer, it appears that this is rampant in your company culture and that you will just throw this review in the trash. I'll pay extra money to deal with people who care about me and my moving experience.

The truck seemed like in a shoddy condition. The left mirror was broken. A/c did not work. I had booked this service online and had SPECIFICALLY asked to waive the insurance. However I see that it was automatically added to my final purchase. This is unacceptable. I want my money back.

Your U-haul attendant said truck had full tank of gas. When I looked at gauge it was not showing completely full. Never having driven this type of truck, I thought that was as far as the needle went. Returned the truck an hour later with only 3 1/2 miles driven. Added some gas. The needle was showing more fuel than when I picked it up. Your attendant refused to discuss it and charged me to fill the tank. Is this a scam that place uses to run up the fees it charges? I rent your vehicles at other locations and have always had professional service. Am very disappointed in U-haul for allowing this to happen.

This particular truck was dirty, had ants living in the cupholder, the windshield wiper blades needed replacing badly, and the headlights were either dirty or also needed replacing as they didn't light the road sufficiently.

Truck was not ready, had a low tire pressure, driver door never closed the entire way. Guy who rented me the truck would not come out with me to show me how to do anything and told me to go air up the tire myself, pointing down the street. He spoke English as a second language. The paperwork had Red thing at the bottom saying: Do not rent this truck. Not ready". That note at the bottom was still attached when I turned the truck in.

We were asked to take a picture of the mileage and gas gauge on returning the truck. I've never seen that done before. Usually the agent comes out and checks the readings, but in this case U-Haul rentals are handled by whoever is running the gas station.

The location was dirty, the equipment NOT ready, the clerk untrained, the truck dirty, the service awful. Not at all consistent with UHAUL's former performance. I wasn't able to even get a contract! The truck was not inspected properly. Vibration and noises at 45 MPH made the trip feel unsafe. Not a good experience at all. This location does not represent UHAUL well.

The vehicle I paid for was not able to drive above 45 mph, hence causing the vehicle to burn gas and cause the trip to be dragged out. When I asked to speak to the manager about the vehicle the employee told me to call back later.

The truck didn't have the 12 blankets I ordered, and when I went back inside, the employee sent me into the back room to dig for them on my own. I only found 10. The truck should have been prepped for my arrival.

Small convenience store, one person working and kept stopping to wait on customers. Small parking lot and hard to get this big truck out, and I'm used to driving large vehicles. No paper receipts, only an electronic one emailed to me. I could not understand the attendant because of his poor English language skills.

Horrible customer service. The attendant was pushy and disrespectful. I showed him a picture of the the mileage on my phone; he grab it from my hand and threw it on the counter when he was done. Gas was stated incorrectly on the form from what was actually showing on the truck. He couldn't properly read the gas amount showing on the gauge and when the left the cab of the truck, he slammed the door.

I reserved a truck and moving blankets online with U-haul. I got lots of emails from U-haul telling me it's all set and how much they appreciate my business. U-haul did a good job of getting my hopes up that they were ready and prepared for my upcoming move. When I showed up in the morning to pick up the truck and blankets things went bad. First, I was supposedly already "checked in" online with U-haul so it was supposed to go smooth that morning. Nope. This guys started the whole process from the beginning. He asked my address, my credit card, phone numbers....I had to do the whole process all over again. It was like he had to fill out all the paperwork from the beginning. Then finally he was almost done and I asked about the moving blankets I reserved. The guy said, "The blankets are in the truck." I asked, "Are they in this truck? Because there are two trucks out there." He said defiantly, "The blankets are in the your truck!" So, I drove to the moving site and found out when I got there that there were no blankets. I was moving expensive furniture and antiques and could not move them without protection. So, I drove all the way back and confronted the guy. I asked him if the blankets are in the other truck? The guy says "no" and levels with me that he never had any blankets in the first place. I confronted him and asked him why he intentionally lied to me earlier. He just stared at me with no emotion. He truly didn't give a crap about me. He could barely speak english. I talked to the U-haul manager on the phone and he told me to drive to another store 15 minutes away to get blankets. I did. When I got there they said they don't have any blankets. However, oddly, they had about 50 brand new blankets right in their store all stacked up pretty. But, they didn't want to open them for me. I am guessing every store is independent and the manager at this store wasn't about to help a generic U-haul customer like me just to bail out another independent U-haul center. He wanted to keep his blanket inventory for himself and his customers. When I asked again if he would help me out, he "explained" to me in a condescending tone that blankets are all based on supply. If they have some that day then you get some, but if they are short of supply that day you are out of luck. I said that is a funny way that U-Haul looks at a "reservation" that was made 3 weeks earlier. I guess you can reserve something with U-Haul and whether they actually commit to what they promised you earlier depends on their supply that day. He basically wanted me to leave his store and just repeated to me that it is based on supply that day and I was out of luck. Those are not my words, those are the words of the employee at U-Haul at 183 and Burnet in Austin, TX. Honestly, if U-haul has no intention of delivering what they promise when they make a reservation, then I would appreciate them telling me up front in all those fancy emails they send me. Simp
