We booked a van and there wasn't one. The guy working there blamed "u-haul", saying he's "only a dealer" and said u-haul "should not have taken the reservation". He didn't understand that as a dealer, he's u-haul.

JOHN Agood location, clean cars.
DENYS SI was told to return the truck with a full tank which is normal. However, after driving 10 miles I had to fill up the tank. I bought 5 gallons of gas which meant that the truck did not have a full tank. The gas indicator was at full. So, I was charged 10 miles plus I had to fill up a tank which I did not use. I will definitely use uhaul on my next project.

MCKENNA PI rented a cargo van online and it was approved. When I go to pick it up on the scheduled day, it was not there. Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't reserving a van mean that it will be there when I go to pick it up? If not, why would anyone want to use UHaul for anything?
EDWARD ZCheck in process was poor. I did everything from the app and then had to wait 15 minutes for my key (as there were 2 other rentals going on at same time and the location was single staffed gas station). Check out process was super smooth as I only had to drop the key off.

Lucas GClerk from the gas station was extremely rude! He accused me of not filling the gas to full when I added an additional $5 there at the pump to get it more fuel. He had the truck running while I pumped the gas! Once I asked him to please turn it back off and then back on the gas jumped to full! Exactly what I was trying to tell him but he refused to listen. He bickered back and fourth. I would not recommend this location for Uhaul service yet alone gas!

LOUIS CFirst of all I ordered a 26 foot truck then that got cancelled on me. I had to substitute to a 20 foot truck. Then once i got there they were about to rent out my 20 foot truck. Luckily they other renters were nice and let me take the 20 foot truck. The organization at U-Haul really screwed me this time. Now i have to move again next weekend too.

Lilibeth MI dropped off the truck with 93 miles of gas in the tank - 30 miles more than what I was originally provided during pickup, and I was charged a fuel surcharge of $12.70. The drop off location is a BP gas station, so it's a huge racket/scam for the facility to charge renters a fuel surcharge upon returning equipment. Thankfully Customer Service waived this charge.

eugene pFill the fuel level to full before renting the truck. When I received my truck the fuel gage read between 1/2 and 1/4 full. I added fuel to get it to the same reading when I dropped it off and they charged me for an additional 3 gallons of gas at 4.50 a gallon. If the tank was full when I picked up the truck I would have filled it back up instead of trying to guess how much fuel to add to get the level back to where it was.

I had to wait until they were open, and that put me behind schedule. This time, it was not a big deal. The folks were friendly and helpful, and I'll use them again, albeit without the before-hours option!

Pablo REmployee had computer issues and the bill came out to bill me for 4 days, when only wants, took over 30 minutes to get the truck. Then when got in the truck the engine light was on,. Went back into the business, the employee stated to tighten the gas cap. That did not work. They did not have another truck to give me. I returned the truck early. I rented from another company. Poor service, they should not rent a truck with the engine light on!

Alex BThe people were friendly and the equipment was in good shape however for those renting a trailer they need to know that it's pretty much a self-service place and you have to have the muscle and strong back to lift the trailer hitch off the ground and onto your vehicle hitch. In the case of a double axle trailer that's a dangerous proposition for anyone with back issues.
David BFirst truck had a headlight out. Replacement truck had a broken cable to help the cargo door open. The driver door was damaged so wind blew in making a terrible noise. The trailer plug was not attached. There were no more trucks so I was forced to use the one with a broken cable.

Lisa ZEverything worked really smoothly. Very reasonable cost. Attendant explained the process completely and answered all questions politely. My go-to spot for rentals. The location at the corner of East Ave and Joliet Rd was easy in and out without a lot of traffic.

I had to convince a person on the assistance phone line that it was there for me by reading the number off the truck. The entire process was horribly slow. I will not return here again and will also never use a non-store pick up again.
