I unfortunately had an extremely terrible and disappointing experience with U-Haul at the Mians Forest Home location. It started first with the check-in process. I entered the store and was the only person in there and began to work with the employee at the front desk. Whenever a customer for his gas station came to the counter, he would stop what we were doing together, put it aside, tell me to move aside, and then check out his gas station customer. This happened multiple times while checking in as well as checking out, adding several minutes onto the overall experience. The check-out process was an extremely bad experience. When I returned the truck, the employee told me I needed to go back out to the truck to take a picture of the dash for him. After I took the picture, he then took my phone with him behind the counter and started working on his computer. This made me feel extremely uncomfortable and having me go take pictures for him felt like poor customer service. The employee also falsified the equipment contract and wrongfully applied a fuel charge to my final invoice. He stated on the 'Out' Receipt that the truck had a 1/2 tank of gas. It was just a tick above a 1/4 tank. Upon returning the truck, I was told I was being charged a fuel charge. I returned to the truck to fill the tank to the same level as I picked it up as, a tick above a 1/4 tank. The employee then proceeded to charge me a 5 gallon fuel charge for my 20 mile trip. I think the U-Haul trucks get better than 4 MPG. I called him out on the fuel charge and falsifying the fuel tank level on the receipt and requested a refund for the fuel charge. He refused. I then showed him pictures of the dash with time stamps when I picked up the truck to prove he falsified the documents. At that point he got defensive and told me I needed to contact U-Haul. The truck was great and I've always enjoyed using U-Haul, but this experience at Mians was terrible. I am requesting a refund of my order.

Directed at UHaul, not the individual site! UHaul, stop the bait-and-switch reservation system. There is a reason I chose a site to pick up and drop off. When you change that the day before it is an extreme inconvenience during already stressful time. The equipment ordered was not in the Uhaul. No one has contacted me since then to adjust my invoice. I find it convenient that you only allow customers to rate the pick up and drop off locations, not your customer service. That would be a negative number of starts.

ANTINITA HCustomer service was nil to say the least. The worker didn't explain literally anything to me about the process , contract, rules or even cost. Brake light on. Constant seat belt bell ringing throughout. Back inside of truck smelled of pure trash/garbage. I was sent bill and cost in morning. Mileage was wrong from beginning to end. I only drove 11 miles and was charged over $50. I could continue but I think I've said more than enough. A gentleman/stranger held his hand out for the keys outside of gas station location where I dropped off truck. I refused. I went inside and worker told me to give keys to him. I did. The gentleman then got in truck and drove off without employee checking the truck and/or inspecting it. He also told me all he was to do was check the Mileage. Their beginning and ending Mileage was incorrect. They didn't even come out to check it when I went to leave at the beginning, so don't know where they got a beginning Mileage anyway. My pictures will show that. Both beginning and ending Mileage with time of both checkout and return.
