Mask use during the pandemic was inconsistent. My drop off location was changed to one twenty minutes away, and I had to raise my voice and call the customer service line at uhaul to drop off at the contracted location. It was an hour waste of my time, but I had no choice, my car was there and I didn't have a second driver.

I told the employee that I had an AWD vehicle I needed to tow, and she told me that the tow dolly would work well for that. Well, you can't tow an all wheel drive vehicle with a tow dolly without removing the drive axle, which I don't think most normal people can do, so I'd work on training your staff to know what can and can't be used.

When trailer returned, you need someone strong enough to take the trailer for return.... it's heavy and a little girl could not handle the weight to take it off the hitch.

Bad customer service. The out side of the truck was very dirty. The inside of the box and truck was clean. The sales person helping me said I was being to picky showing damage during my inspection.

I started by waiting 45 minutes to talk to someone (I was the only one in line) if there were any customers I could understand but I appeared to be one of three people in the entire store for the hour+ I was there - OK I still would have given 3-4 stars after that because the girl who did help me was nice despite the fact she should have told me I didn't need the insurance instead of making me feel like I had to have it (checking with my car ins later I was fully covered without it but since the worker had no training on what it was even for I found this out later because I wanted to know on case it were to come up again) but I suppose the best I can do now is learn from this mistake and warn others not to be misled by the made-up/nonsense ads for pricing. First of all the worker couldn't tell me anything about the insurance options except that she didn't think my car ins covered me (like it would with any other car rental) so I felt forced into buying the lower option of $23/$25 even though no one could tell me anything about what that covered except the bigger $70 something dollar one was only for canopy damage?? The van I wanted was listed at $19, that was likely a website problem that said they even had that as the gal told me they never carry those vehicles - so ok I understand that - I go for the smallest available option $29 plus $0.69/mile. I went 36 miles total, I had reset the trip before I left the rental place, returned it an hour or two early and because no one was around again from u-haul they said “I'll do my best to make sure no late fee goes on” around 1pm - this was no after hours business or anything. I was charged $91 NINETY ONE dollars to use a truck - oh and I had to put $15 in gas in it so make that $116 ONE HUNDRED SIXTEEN DOLLARS to use a truck for less than a day to go to the next town and back once. This is so far past false advertising I don't even know what to call it?! I should have left when no one was there after 30 mins but I thought I was getting a decent affordable option where I didn't need to ask a friend for help - little did I know... So I stayed and waited for someone to be tracked down, I just lost my father and was on a tight time table to move his things, I really didn't have time to think it through again - when the price goes from $29/$50 up to $81 plus gas, plus I was charged $10 mystery dollars on top of that after I returned it - I can see now I should have walked away, but at the time I somehow thought I'd be refunded some money as she told me “some of this will probably come off when you return it” OH and thankfully I caught that I was being charged a second day because the total charges were close to $200 and I was told “don't worry about the $100 unless you're paying cash” which I planned to but decided to use my card as she said that was easier - I realized later she meant that was an extra deposit charge but I was so unclear at the time and I was very nearly charged for 2 days and very nearl

Have more people at the store who know how to process a U-Haul rental. Had to delay my trip a couple hours or pay for an extra day if I picked it up the night before. Wanted to get the move done in one day.

The wait inside was long. The computer equipment was not working. The truck was covered in snow and did not include a brush. (It was late November. It had already been snowing for weeks. The location sells brushes. It was reasonable to expect that there would be one in the truck.) The parking lot had been plowed such that there was a small snowbank blocking the truck in, and the truck was on ice, so it was very difficult to get it out of its spot. One of us went back inside to ask for help, but the other was able to get the truck out before help came. Other than that, everything was fine. The truck was in good shape. Everything worked as expected.

We made a rental agreement for a 5x8 cargo trailer. That was changed by your company to a 4x8 which did not fit the furniture we had to move. We were moving my son out of school 8 hours from home. The agreement was also changed to a location 15 mile farther away without letting me know in a different city. The location therefore did not have the proper trailer and the staff had no idea what to do to fix the problem. We ended up using the smaller trailer and could not fit my sons dresser in it to bring it home. I'm really upset with the fact the I rented this 2 months prior to actually need it, confirmed it 2 days prior to needing it and was basically told we don't have what you rented.. tough luck. On top of that the trailer did not have the proper wiring harness so someone had to steal from another trailer to make it work.

First I was told I owed an extra $119.00 I asked why they said I returned equipment late, I said it was due back on Tuesday (November 19) I returned it Sunday November 17th how can it be late? Then I was told it was because I returned the uhaul with less gas in it. I said but you have my 100.00 cash deposit, they said it cost 118.00 to fill it up. (For less than a 1/2 tabk?) I'm calling b.s. so I still don't understand how I owe a. Extra $119.00. When I should of been getting a refund.

We were very pleased with our experience. Our only complaint would be that the pull out ramp is a bit steep but it's understandable that you have to consider folks that may not have much room for a longer ramp.

Staff at Campioni's was fine, easy to work with. They did a good job. The issue i had was that i did the reservation 2 weeks in advance for an in town rental at a different location.. by the time i went to pick up, the reservation had been changed to one way, my address was incorrect, and all vehicle info was not on the reservation.

The truck was so noisy that a conversation ended up in yelling and playing the radio was impossible.. the box for cargo leaks during rain. The transmission needs service as do the brakes.

Make sure the web sight doesn't freeze up first of all. It was like a 25 min phone call to just reserve the trailer.. how about letting the person renting be able to put all the info in themselves at the time of reserving the equipment. It took almost an hour to get out the door after I got there for my 3 pm reservation. Literally it was 3:50 when I pulled out of the parking lot. When I used uhaul 4 years ago it was the same.

Inside was dirty and stained from beverages. Box was not swept. Found several small peice sod last renters belongings. Seems Uhaul very adamant about a pick up time. Truck all iced up when we arrived. Biggest issue was I had reserved a trailer approximately a week and a half ahead of time and then there was not one available short of me having to drive xtra 140 miles and back to get it. You were able to give me a truck to compensate but if I hadn't had enough drivers with me I would have been screwed, plus having $$125 in fuel costs I wasn't planning for.

Our drop off time was 8 am, however this location was not staffed with trained rental personnel until 11 am. The woman who assisted me was kind and helpful but she was not trained on drop off.

All of the staff was very helpful and apologetic for the computer system taking so long and having glitches. I wasn't in a real rush, who really is when they're about to load a 26 foot truck with all of their stuff and move across the country?!?! Either way, suggestions for improvement. Inspect the equipment a bit better. Truck was actually perfect, but the tow dolly that was already hooked up for me was missing the pin that holds the ramp in and the chains and tire straps were in rough shape. After noticing that I realized that the contract had a different tow dolly listed anyway. So I hooked that one up because it appeared that the chains and straps were in much better condition. And the left turn signal didn't work. Oh well, it got me to my destination in one piece with all my belongings safely crammed into the back. All in all, these guys seem new to the business and with a few minor tweaks will be turning and burning those rentals before no time!

I was looking at the possibility of running a little late and called. The rep at the store said no exceptions, I'd be charged for another day. Additionally the gas gauge read 7/8 when receiving. The rental is at a gas station-why not rent it filled so the customer doesn't have to second guess? This is the 3rd time I've used this location and may be my last. I've been renting for decades and have never had such detached customer service.

I had to jump thru hoops and contact your Wisconsin 800 number to locate a car-hauler. The variability of what locations are open and when is a problem. All locations should have 7day service for pickup. Doesn't need to be manned but should have an on-call agent. If UBER and Zipcar can do it with autos why can't UHaul do it with trailers? This comment applies to UHaul not Camponi's.

Mike at this location was so helpful and friendly, prompt and professional service. after the last experience I had with your uhaul representative in the city of Hancock, MI at Dave's towing I was hesitant to rent with uhaul again but out of convenience I reached out to Campioni's hardware store and Mike helped get me exactly what I needed with a pleasant demeanor to boot! I highly recommend this location.

The pickup and dropoff locations all provided great service! Your online reservation web site could use a little help though. The site does not retain the same information it shows at reservation when it is looked up online at actual pickup.

Well, they run the U-Haul service out of a hardware store, and as far as I can tell, they don't give much attention to U-Haul. The office is in a utility room - I am not kidding. The girl didn't know what to do. The older woman couldn't be bothered. They finally paged an older man and he understood things. But he quickly disappeared and they had to page him again. It took about 30 min to drop off a 5-8 trailer, and that is ridiculous. There isn't much demand for U-Haul in the Calumet area but if they are going to provide the service, then they need to get up to speed.

Campioni's was great, UHaul itself messed up. I rented a trailer from Atlantic Mine a week before pick up, and when we called to see if we could get it early, they had us picking it up in Hastings, MI where we live. We were in Houghton picking up our son from college. They then informed us it would be $188 one way because it was a college town, not the 39.95 I was quoted. The email verification I received did not have the pick up location, time or drop off location anywhere. What a disaster, thank you for helping us out.

The truck was dirty, also the car tow trailer was NOT big enough for our vehicle, but we were told it would tow it. We had to drive our vehicle which cost us almost $500.00 in gas that should have been avoided. Plus we paid 250 for the trailer and could not use it.

I ordered a 26' truck in the UP. A day before pickup, I received a phone call from corporate that I could only get a 20' truck and a small trailer. This was not enough space and now I need to make a second trip to the UP to get the last of the stuff that wouldn't fit in. I was extremely disappointed that I did not get the truck I contracted for!

We rent a UHaul to carry all of my crafts to a craft show in Calumet. Over the years we have had friends help and borrow trucks. We have also rented hauls from other places. Nothing was as smooth as this year. Thank you so much! We tried to rent from another place right here in Laurium and by the time we go to pick up the truck it has a flat tire, or someone took it and they forgot we rented it and we have had to drive as far as Atlantic Mine just to get another truck. So, thank you for a perfect year!! And quick service in and out...we will be using you again next fall!!
