No covid protocols. One of mechanics was in office with no mask. Another tech required a slide through credit card and refused to accept any touch less payment that I suggested. This brought be within a foot of the woman who had to slide the card through. The women in the office were bossy and rude and intimidating enough for me not to ever use this facility again.

I reserved a 6x12 trailer almost a month in advance in Stamford, CT. When the time came, I had to drive up to New Milford, CT to pick it up, an hour and a half drive way out of my way. I was not a happy camper. The local scheduler tried to make up for the inconvenience by giving me an extra day and 6 blankets. But, then it took over an hour to hook me up; they even had to call some guy not on site to do it. The trailer, itself, was clean on the inside but either old or just dirty with at least a dozen dents and dings on the outside. Regardless, I had a successful move from CT to FL.

I walked inside the office and nobody was wearing a mask. We're in a deadly surge of the Coronavirus. I asked the woman to put on a mask and she told me she would when we went back to the office. She took me to a tiny, stuffy, airless office, (probably where she and her coworker were sitting maskless before I arrived) and then put on her mask. It didn't feel safe. She was unapologetic.

Young man, who disconnected trailer from my vehicle, said that U-Haul did not install the rubber sleeve onto my hitch, which is why trailer rattled profusely all the way to my destination. In fact, the movers from B-N-S told me the same thing. I will call the U-Haul installation facility to remedy the missing part.

The staff seemed a bit dismissive of my concern about billing saying it was out of her hands. Suggested better way to handle it would be to offer suggestions of how I could address it should a problem arise.

I searched for uhaul locations and everyone was closed (sunday). Found the Candlewood Valley location in new milford, ct that stated a van was available. Upon arrival of the pick up time, the location was closed and the keys were not available unless I went through the online process. I was not upset about that, as I read through the preparation email uhaul. My biggest concern (that pissed me the fuck off) was that it took 1.5 hours to complete the process. I feel I should be reimbursed the $19.95 or something else for the complete headache. I had my 7 year old son with me, and if your a parent... think of hanging out in a parking lot for 1.5 hours....and its lunch time and you dont have food nor water.

It was confusing to me when setting up the reservation on your system. I requested a 4 x 7 foot trailer, I got a conformation from both my preferred location and also a conformation from the Danbury location. This required a call to Danbury to get an explanation. Suggestion - Let the customer know that the trailer is not available at the primary site, provide the customer the option to select another option, example, select a 5 x 7 trailer at the preferred location.

Fix your online check in. It was ridiculous! Took us an hour, a half hour on hold then another half hour to get the code from the agent on the phone!

Though a fuel tank estimate is provided, it is difficult to figure out exactly how much gas is needed to match the gas level in the tank when I picked up the van. I suggest a credit be given when gas is brought back at a higher amount than when the van was picked up. Similar to the charge the customer would get if the tank was less than the level when picked up, but a credit instead of a debit. Thank you for considering my idea.

Honestly, the whole process of renting would really benefit with an app instead of using your phone's web browser. Other than that, the process was smooth.

While I had a wonderful experience at this location I am very disappointed with Uhaul and almost cancelled my appointment as they switched my location 3 times prior to pick up. My drive to pick up a truck was longer then my drive to move down the road. Then I called customer service and they basically told me too bad. If I didn't have kids to deal with I would have canceled my reservation with choice words

my location was changed from Danbury to New Milford the trailer was larger than i wanted it took over 1 hoiur to check out due to problems with your system i had a quote of 462 and the new location was charging over 600 also this locationj was another 1/2 hour pass Danbury

U Haul moved my trailer rental pickup location to Danbury 20 miles away without telling me. Candlewood accomodated me with a truck instead. So instead of $20 I had to pay $100 for the move. Nice job U Haul

Streamline the process. I filled out all forms online and then was asked to provide the same information when I picked up the equipment at location.

If you reserve a certain size truck and you don't have that size. Please let the customer know a head of time. Not the day before the move.

Was charged $40 for an extra day because we were less than an hour late returning because my husband and I had food poisoning with vomiting & diarrhea. Not cool to charge extra $40.

I have rented a uhaul from this location several times now, Always a terrific experience! Mike couldn't be nicer! He even called me to let me know that I could come earlier to pick up the van as the previous renters had finished up early!!A top notch operation!! I would highly recommend!!
