This location got us what we needed. My irritation is with U-Haul corporate and not the location. This location was ~58 miles and 40+ minutes away from where we booked the truck. The change required refiguring our entire timeline and the customer service representative was slightly challenging to work with. The past couple of times we booked a truck, we were notified the truck was not located where we booked it and had to go out of our way. Very problematic.
Brett LWe were contacted the day before pickup that the towing trailer we reserved would not be available, and then less than 5 minutes later we were contacted again to see if we would tow a trailer on the way to our destination. Needless to say, we would not tow the trailer. When we arrived for pickup, nobody was there and we attempted to contact owner but no one responded. We finally contacted Uhaul by phone and were helped through the process...after many attempts, repeated phone calls where we had to repeat the entire scenario again and again because we kept getting a new agent on the phone. The equipment we reserved was not in the truck, so after 2 hours we were finally able to get the keys and leave. This was way more than we bargained for, it was a frustrating experience and we had no idea this was a self-serve deal to get this truck. We wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, ever.
Ronald LI returned the trailer on a Sunday and there were no personnel present and I did not see the facilities. I answered yes to each as these were required fields.
William EThey said the dolly was in the truck but upon inspection there was no dolly and the location was closed so could not get a dolly.

Sarah Ewas not told where truck was located, far off from actual location. Tried to adjust my reservation as was told by a u-haul represenative and location said it wasnt an issue so ended being charged for an extra day that was not needed, called about a refund for that day and was put off by represenative.

Jerald JWhen I received my final bill I was overcharged and had to call uhaul about it. I was very upset but customer service got it straightened out.
kathy mThe online check-in is a great option. It would be much more helpful if more info and requirements were communicated and/or available ahead of time. I set up my profile and payment info ahead of time and it said to make sure to have my license with me. When I got onsite, half an hour from home in below zero temperatures, it then tells me I need extra verification. Passport? Sitting at home. Employer call? Not on the weekend. Other contacts? Sure, but who answers random calls to their cell. Bouncing in and out of the app to find someone who was available and telling them to answer the call took time which apparently timed me out of the agent chat, so I had to start over twice, fell out of the loop again, ended up having to call an agent to get assistance. Great concept. Clumsy execution due to unexpected requirements. Highly frustrating and burned a bunch of time.

George LI rented a 10 foot truck for six hours and drove 70 miles. I was initially charged for 119 miles because of a record-keeping error. I thought this was corrected, but when I checked my credit card statement five days later, I was charged over $150 more than I was quoted.

donald cThis location was easy to find and owner was pleasant; however, it was not the location I placed reservation for. I requested a location in Pittsburg, KS on a Saturday, due to work schedule and that I was in Pittsburg. I was contacted that only pick up was 20 miles away on a Friday.

Faron TThe owner who checked the Uhaul out was very rude and unprofessional. Cursing the second I walked in the door to get the equipment. He did not assist with attaching the trailer yet had no other customers. He was a nasty acting man and ungrateful for the business. I would be mortified to have this person representing my business with his foul mouth, rude behavior and ungrateful attitude. Finding a new dealer who is happy to represent and assist customers as they walk in would be advised. Moving is stressful enough and to have someone act angry just because you’re there and as if you’re an inconvenience the moment you walk in the door doesn't seem like a good fit for UHAULS reputation.
Tevi TTwo main concerns with the pickup at this location. 1) My reservation was for Pittsburg, KS. The truck was available in Fort Scott the day before, why couldn’t someone have driven it to the location I selected as my pickup point? If I wanted a pickup location in Fort Scott, I would have chosen Fort Scott. This scenario is inconvenient for the customer and shows U-Haul cares more about $$ than customer service and customer loyalty. 2) When the truck was picked up, the individual I worked with was just short of completely rude. He micro-managed his staff with every keyboard keystroke. He was condescending to me and appeared to be too busy to deal with me and my reservation. He, nor anyone on his staff, gave me any information abt the truck and how to operate it. U-Haul should up their game and focus a lot more on how to make the rental experience easier and more enjoyable for the customers.

tina bI was told that as long as I brought back the trailer by close of business I would only be charged 1 day fees..however, when I brought it back I was charged two days..after reminding the man he became flustered and said his manager would have to deal with this..I again saw and received email for 2 days..I called again and was told a credit would be issued but on checking with credit card today, I saw another charge for now a third day instead of a credit..I placed a dispute with the credit card company and hopefully this will be resolved..not happy at this point.
Linda AThe truck was covered in ice and snow.. extremely hard to clear off as no items where in truck to clear it.. lots of idling time for window to defrost. No equipment that I reserved was in the truck dolly or furniture dolly.. so yeah moving items without was no fun. As this business is not open on weekend. No answer from them on missing reserved equipment. Owner of place really doesn’t seem to care about it.. Thanks

ESTHER RU-Haul itself needs to fix it's reservation process. There is no point in having online reservation if their location's available vehicles is not kept up to date on the website. Twice now I've reserved specific vehicles and received calls a few days later saying that type isn't available at any close location. Do not list those as options to reserve if that's not a real possibility.
Brenna EThere was a small leak in the roof of the truck. I had to drive 3 hours roundtrip to pick up this truck because I reserved one online and then was told they didn't have any in my area. The woman working was very nice but wasn't with Uhaul so that probably made it better. I was absolutely annoyed and mad that I reserved a 10" truck for my move and then called and told there was NOTHING in the KC area that weekend. I was told about the 15" truck that I picked up in Fort Scott and was under the impression that I would get it at the same price due to the inconvenience of the pick up location, but it wasn't. There was just an overall horrible lack of communication during my whole reservation and process.
