U-Haul gave me 39 miles. Directly from my old house to new house. You charged extra miles for pick up and drop off distance miles which were the closest locations. And u didn’t have the utility dolly needed when reserved. So I had to travel extra mile to aquire.

They charged for tow safety insurance for $16 I didn’t ask for and they make it very difficult to get the money back.

Originally booked at a location in Dayton, was told I would have a truck by moving day one week later. When I didn't get a confirmation call we followed up there only to find out we had been booked for a Reno pick up. After 3 calls, an increased truck size That we didn't need, extra days we didn't need, and another location change we were able to pick up the truck 2 hrs later than we wanted to start. Basically, if you aren't going to have a truck available don't offer that location. Thank you

From top to bottom the process of renting, picking up, & returning multiple trucks was easy. Geno is a a consummate professional and a very personable employee. 11/10 customer service. I do wish the trucks had a full tank of gas so I wouldn't have to guess how many gallons to purchase. That's my only suggestion.

My only complaint is uhaul doesn't offer any rewards program for people like me that rent equipment regularly. I should get a discount on mileage or for every 10 rentals the 11th is free or something for being a loyal customer. Uhaul can do better with this.

I absolutely love Carson City storage!! Everyone is so nice and the facility is super maintained. I will continue to refer everyone I know here. Giovanni has been my main person I’ve spoken to and he’s always so bubbly and sweet and courteous!! I’ve had a few storage lockers here’s and will forever be a customer to return!! Love you guys 😃

This is a great facility to store an RV. It's gated, has cameras, and is very clean. Access for larger RV's is good. The staff is friendly and helpful. They even helped me to park a 5th wheel when backing into a new space. Great location with easy access to both Hwy 50 and US 395/I 580. The approach to and from Arrowhead is generous with infrequent traffic.

If you have to rent a storage unit then this is the place I would recommend. The storage unit, grounds, and office were all very clean. Security cameras on every aisle. Faith was great at customer services in explaining what was needed on returning and filling up gas. Thanks so much…. In addition, Mr. Musgrove, Postal Annex, Carson City was so helpful in finding us a U-Haul even though it was not his rental vehicle. I had to move my UTV from a warehouse with little notice.I choose Carson City Storage because it was close.Although they are mainly a Mini storage place, they had a trailer avail.Thanks for holding the trailer until I got there.Also,hooking it up & disconnecting it when I was done.The staff treated me kindly. I don't think I was credited enough back from total cost considering I never moved into the storage and signed contract on Saturday and then cancelled it on Sunday all within 24 hour period of time. I paid over $420.00 and only am being credited back 189.99 I have been happy with UHAUL for years, but this is the first time feeling like I should have not been charged so much for never moving in and especially since it was within 24 hour buyers remorse period. I understand only one customer by phone that was turned away according to Vince on Saturday who may have been a potential customer for the two that I had rented but not moved into. Thanks. The Arrowhead location was the second attempt to return the truck. Original return location was 4440 E Highway 50, Carson City, NV. We arrived at the location about 7:30 PM. Facility out of the city was completely dark and the driveway was chained off for the night. I originally chose a location in Gardnerville close to the location of the home we were moving to. I then got a call from someone at the 4440 E Highway 50 and said they had a critical need for a 26 foot truck and could I deliver it to them instead of the Gardnerville location. Trying to be a nice guy I said sure zi think I could do that. She changed the return location so that when I picked up the truck the contract showed her location for a return. There was no mention of having to return the truck before they closed or any instructional how to. Return the truck if we’re closed. So here I am pulling into a short driveway that is all dark and finding a chain so close that the end of the truck was left hanging just off the white line of this 4-lane busy Highway. To avoid having to back out into oncoming traffic to get to the Arrowhead location that was given to me by a kind after hours online support person, to avoid backing out I had manuver the truck using a wide bike lane to be able to get back on the Highway nose first. Then surprise the Apple Map directions to the Arrowhead location was blocked by a nasty traffic accident so we had improvise an alternate route. Finally over an hour later arrived at the recommended return location. But it was closed too and dark with no signs telling one where to drop the key. Called online support again and they said just take phone photos of the odometer and gas gauge, leave the key under the seat and call them in the morning. In the morning I found I still had a blanket to return so I drove back to Arrowhead where the U-Haul rep was very helpful and understanding. He finished the return paper work for me. After that experience, I would suggest that U-Haul corporate mangers or exces should go out regularly and try returning a truck after hours and judge how they feel about the current system. I was lucky and could draw on previous school bus driving experience to get the truck safely back on the road from the 4440 E Highway 50 location short, blocked driveway.

First, the truck was unsafe to drive, the mirrors were lose and moving all around as I drove down the road. I couldn’t see next to me or behind me. Dog chewed up the center and seats and smelt like cigarettes. Office was closed at 2:00 when I went to drop off the uhaul and I was told to bring it back at a later time because there wasn’t anywhere for me to park it, which ended up adding mileage to my total. I was not happy at all.

I don’t know that anything can be improved! Giovanni was amazing and super helpful! He was even able to accommodate an early pickup so we could get our move done earlier. The truck ran great and did what we needed it to do. If anything could be improved, maybe having a set of snow chains for the vehicles available for anyone moving over mountain passes. That was our only issue with our trip. We had to purchase chains to get over the pass. Unfortunately, the chains are now useless due to none of our current vehicles utilizing that size chain. I do understand that this is not something U-Haul does and our experience was unique. Just something to consider. Either way, was very thankful for the availability and accommodations made by this location of U-Haul.

Have had a storage unit with you for 5 years, upon removing our items there had been some mice that ruined a few of our treasures, as well as water and dirt had entered the unit. We thought you might want to know that for future use. Staff: Had an issue where there was solid ice by our unit, when I got out of the car I slipped and fell on the ice. Your staff member was rude and not helpful. When moving out your staff member was friendly. Different staff worker.

Your dealer associate has a phenomenally positive customer service attitude and has earned out business henceforth. On another note, though we had completed our precheck online prior to arrival, the U-Haul dealer website was not allowing the associate to complete her portion in a timely manner, resulting in a 45 minute delay. From my experience with other local U-Haul dealerships this is not unusual and is a source of frustration for both the associates and the customers, not to mention a source of wasted time/money for both the customers and company..
