I Rent U-Hauls quite a few times out the year. I transport my event decorations. This was my 1st time renting a box truck. I normally rent cargo vans. This Box truck was not properly sanitized. The dash board was very Dirty/Dusty. This Truck had VERY STRONG WET DOG ODER. That was making me feel sick to my. I had to ride with the windows cracked and buy a can of febreze to help calm the smelly scent. The Scent was coming from the back of the truck. Soon as you open the back the smell was so strong. My unloading team kept saying “what is that horrible smell, it smells like someone didn’t wash their behind”. I can’t un smell that scent!!! It was dog fur and dusty dirt all over my Decorating equipment. My clothes & equipment had that horrible scent and I only traveled about 40 miles to my event. This is unacceptable!!! That truck need to be properly sanitized, wiped down, and deep Cleaned. I take pride in my clients. They are trusting me to provide Top Notch services. I will never rent from that location again. It was up the street from my home, so I gave them a chance. U haul you have to do better with the upkeep of your vehicles. This has never happened to me at the location with counter services.

Nanda HTransmission overdrive jerking motion the whole 35 mile trip... Took over 45 mins to self checkout as the GPS was not working right, fortunately, I was able to use another phone to circumvent the issue. Customer support was a waste of 20 mins on hold.

Katrice GI needed a location close to my house with an early (8am) pickup. I reserved weeks in advance, but was transferred to Carruthers in East Chicago. I had help lined up, so I had to change all of that. Some of my help had to cancel. I ordered a furniture dolly which I did not get, so I had to chase all over town to find one. Long story short, my early move did not start until afternoon, and did not end until nearly midnight! Bright spots were Megan in customer service, and Johnson Movers’ unload and unpack. Five stars for them! Brighton Park was not convenient to get to, but I was grateful for their large lot and service.

PRECIOUS MDangerous neighborhood. U-haul truck had check engine light on. Too much outside air and noise comes into cabin. Door seals needs replacement. Worst experience ever!
